Eh, here's the cliff notes:

Buteh's mom is a rich heiress who defies social classes. She encourages her son to pursue his passions but unfortunately dies when Buteh is still a child.

Buteh's dad is a young dock worker with a difficult past. He thinks his son is too girly.

Buteh is not actually a faerie. He is, in fact, half bird.

When Buteh's mom dies he goes to live with his dad, who becomes abusive (is that too intense for neo?). He runs away and becomes a drag performer. Eventually he gains control of the family fortune. Then he meets Muryele and they become platonic soul-mates.

Poor Buteh has had a tough life *cries and hugs him*
