Introduction

I was in no way forced to make this application for Regulis, I made it with my own free will.
I did not steal anyone else's art, ideas, or writing. They are all mine.

Regulis's story relates to Alloxei's but in a different point of view. Enjoy!

My feathers-- my wings!" exclaimed Regulis. "What happened...?" he wondered as he fainted once more.

Reggie was a beautiful little eyrie to his mom and everyone else. He had a colorful plummage of bright blues, deep purples, and vibrant greens. Many of his friends envied his wings, and strangers always came up to him to comment on his feathers. "So pretty! Utterly gorgeous!!"

But that was before the oddly, mild winter of that same year.

Unusual amounts of snow were reported all across Neopia. There was a seemingly permanent gloom that stayed in the air. The gloom stuck to everything, discoloring his feathers and drowning Regulis into loneliness. To finish off the rough, depressing winter season, a vast and violent storm arrived.

-BANG- In the middle of the storm, completely caught off guard, Regulis was knocked out of the sky during a free flight. Blotches of snow fell and clung to his feathers taking the last of the colors before joining the ground. An array of colors were splattered around him. His mind was swirling...

*Drip, drop, drip* His ears twitched to the new noise. How long he was out, he did not know. Water droplets fell from a leaf onto his eyes, tempting them to open. Awake, he sees colorful flowers surrounding him in bright blues, deep purples, and vibrant greens poking through the damp dirt. "So pretty," he thought, "and so familiar.

Soon enough, Regulis was aware of the sudden change in his appearance. He no longer stood out from his friends or neighbors. He was no longer unique. Uncomfortable and not used to the changes, Regulis mourns and grieves about his loss.

Later that spring after a heavy rainfall, the skies began to clear and the flowers strethed tall. High in the sky, was an array of colors in bright blues, deep purples, and vibrant greens reflected from the ground. "Utterly gorgeous," neighbors said, looking up into the sky, smiles creasing their grim faces.

Though it was a terrible loss for Regulis, he brought happiness and colors to his village after that winter storm. Neopians came all over the world to admire the sky after the rains.

Me

My name is Michelle but I'm known as Mich to most. On Neopets, conjuring up clothing designs for my pets is my favorite thing to do. Next in line is drawing and writing short stories. I wish I had a tablet though so the pictures could show up clearer but thankfully I have a scanner. Finally, I love to code. I self taught myself just last summer, and I'm working on learning more and improving. I've heard of RP before and tried it for fun but the person that knew the most about it in our guild never came around to teaching us.

I'm currently in high school and just finished the SAT a few weeks ago so now I can focus on this application! I have a kitty named Nacho, pictured above, he's my first-ish pet and the biggest responsibility of mine besides my Neopets xD

At first, I couldn't come up with a story for Regulis but right after a figured out a customization design, ideas popped into my head and came out nice and smoothly. I retrieve information from the backgrounds, clothing, and foregrounds to create a matching story. All of the pets on my sides with incomplete customizations, have the items they need posted on their look-ups so I can remember.

Off of Neopets, I love listening and staying up to date on music, playing tennis, and running. My future career will hopefully lie in between art and design, maybe even web designing.

Lastly, I have a DA account with the same username as my main, tameone19. My art is also posted there :)

Family

A little bit about everyone:
I have 4 accounts in total, tameone19(main), tameone98(Lupe side), fiercepet_123(Chocolate side), and firefloe(Future Labing side).

Pets on tameone19 my main:
All four of my permanent pets(including Regulis, not Laurayn) have a customization that represents a season. Alloxei is Winter, Nuxhy is Summer, Bulette_Chaser is Fall, and Regulis will be a Spring night.

Nuxhy the Island Poogle with Lixkn the Island Alkenore-

She was my first permanent pet on this account. Her customization is complete along with her character. At first I offered my Grape Chia, Souppeay, for her and the owner said she would get back to me. After a long period of no response and seeing that she was still not traded, I neomailed the owner. She said that she had an offer of a Baby Chia that she adored but if I could do a custom then she would trade with me. I got so excited because Nux to me was gorgeous and the pet she wanted was easy to obtain. Finally, I traded my Grey Poogle for a Baby custom and did a 3-way for Nuxhy :)

Alloxei the Royal Girl Chomby with Alix the Purple Mimbi-
Alloxei is my second permanent pet here on my main. She is just lacking a foreground for her customization but her character is complete. I adopted her with my first ever petpage application. Royal Girl Chombies are so pretty and I just had to have one, plus her character wasn't a pain to come up with. I wanted to cross-paint her Faerie so she could have wings but then I decided against it since the Royal Girl clothes she would wear would never be really hers :/

Bulette_Chaser the Shadow Draik with Betutle_Eschar the Black Gallion-

Bulette is my 3rd permanent pet but her fate lies elsewhere. She will be repainted and redesigned. That's why her character is still underdevelopment, but the rest is a secret... I adopted her off of a quick adoption board that I saw while lurking the Neopian Pound boards. I was very surprised when I was chosen because it was pretty hard to stand out on that crowded board. I'm very grateful though! I was late to art class that day since I wanted to wait for the Draik to transfer in before leaving :P Later that night, I came up with her customization but after obtaining all the items, I wasn't quite satisfied. Her background and wings are going to be changed and an additional handheld will be added. Then, she will finally be complete as the Fall season.

Laurayn the Red Lutari with Stream the Rainbow Ona-
Laurayn is my labrat that I adopted off of the pound. He was originally a 'she' and an Ice Blumaroo. I didn't think he was very special except that the name was a misspelled real name and the color was nice. Eventually, I wandered to his look-up and saw that he was 4,000+ days old! Now I am hoping to zap him into something nice and train him up to trade for any unconverted pet. Regulis would fit right here on my main as the 4th permanent pet replacing Laurayn. Then I would probably abandon my plans of trading him and morph, paint, and change his gender as a side project.

I adopted a nicely named male Purple Lupe in the pound one day and randomly, someone neomailed me looking to trade for him. I said that because he was part of my Lupe side, I couldn't let him go. Coincidentally, they caught Minouro in the pound but couldn't get over the fact she was a female. They contacted me again and we traded :D
Tercaus was another find while pound surfing. I had no real inspiration for her until a person in my guild zapped a Desert Lupe and offered it to us. I just wanted the clothing because an unclothed Desert Lupe is literally Orange. Plus I could return the original pet by a pound transfer and she could continue zapping since she liked that name also. All was successful, she got a nice labrat while helping someone else and I got a new customization idea!
Loyalty_18 was one of my first pets. I didn't create him though, I was just randomly pound surfing and thought that Lupes were rather handsome. He was a Blue Lupe then. One day I was lurking the Magma Pool and the guard was suddenly asleep! I quickly decided that a Magma Lupe would be nice and into the pool he went :P
Remus_Allen was pretty much given to me. Someone on a pound board said they knew of a Sponge Lupe that was stuck but decently named. I didn't mind because it would complete my side and the name was like Loyalty's ^-^

All of their customizations are complete and when I'm all done with completing my goals on my main, I plan to create characters and a story for all 4 of them.

Alosha was given to me by a very nice neopian. Apparently, Alosha wasn't very inspiring to him but I adored him. He then transferred Alosha to me the next day and I promised that I would never trade him.
I traded a Robot Cybunny for Harreeh.
For Ismrie, a very good friend and guild member of mine saw that I offered for her on a board. The owner was looking for nice names. After rejecting my offer, my friend offered some of her pets. The owner instantly loved one of the names and Ismrie was traded to me like I offered her that pet. It was an amazing trade and I thank my friend so much.
Finally, rainhaze was the first Chocolate I ever owned. I traded a Green Chomby custom for her.

Alosha and Ismrie's customizations are complete. Harreeh's is all mapped out but it's so expensive that I'll have that as a side project in the future. rainhaze is getting some NC items for her design. She's probably the only pet that I'm getting NC for besides the pets on my main C: Then once they are all complete and my main goals are done, just like the Lupe side, I want to create characters and a story for all 4 of them together.

Plans

Regulis will be on my main, tameone19, after I move Laurayn the labrat out to firefloe the Future Labing side. He will always be my active pet because I'm a little afraid of Boochi and those other REs. But at least nothing can harm him.

I want to draw Reggie as much as I can because he's a beautiful pet and Eyries are very fun to create on paper. I'm thinking about bringing my sketchbook to classes to draw when I'm bored. Unless it's too long, his story will be added to his look-up along with his artwork.

Like I said before, Regulis's customization will be a Spring night. To view it, go to DTI because I can't find a way to paste his design here :/
It is made up of:
Regulis(mourning from the loss of his colorful plummage)
Feather Shower(the previous colors of his feathers before the snow and impact of the storm, blew and took their color away)
Flower Petal Foreground(the flowers that bloomed when he awoke, they got their coloring from the snow that took the color from his feathers and melted into water that seeped into the ground)
Glowing Light Sky Background(that's what the sky looked like when it reflected off of the flowers)
It would be absolutely perfect if I could add 'A Rolling Fog' to it but then the Feather Shower would be removed. If it was compatible with the shower, then it would show the haze of depression that covered the village before the rain cleared and showed the beautiful sky.
I will be getting some more NC soon as a reward for good grades in school, so then I can get the background for Reg. I already have the Feather Shower and the Foreground is something I can get anytime.

As you might have seen on the Family portion of this application, I like to have matching petpets for all the pets on my main. Someday, when all my main goals are complete I will start getting petpets for the pets on my sides. Regulis will have a Grey Faellie as a petpet. I think it fits with him the best since it has reddish eyes, frayed wings, and a bushy tail.

The End

Regulis is an unconverted pet and he will never be converted into the new form. He's very special and he inspired me to work harder for the pets I love.
I hope I was able to show my efforts in this application as I worked very hard on it.
