Welcome to the circus!
You walk slowly between many rows of the brightly coloured tents that decorate the lush green grass. The circus had arrived. A tent catches your eye, it is smaller than the others but it has the brightest colours--stripes of purple and yellow. Perhaps not the most attractive combination of colours, but it certainly is eye catching. A uni wearing a bright green feather head-dress trots past you, but turns back to you on her way to a larger tent, "I noticed you looking at that tent," she neighs, swishing her tail in the direction of the yellow and purple tent, "That's Bouncer's tent. You should go in, he loves visitors!" You nod and smile at her. She smiles back and hurries into a green tent. You make your way over to Bouncer's tent and push the flap lightly open and peer inside. With no windows to let in the bright sunlight, the tent is very dark, meaning your eyes take a while to adjust.
Why, hello there!" say's a cheerful voice, coming from somewhere inside. Your eyes adjust a little and you notice a large shape heading towards you. A chocolate brown lupe steps out of the tent to join you in the bright sunshine. You do a double-take. Bouncer is big, very big. Not tall. He is short and very fat. You can't help but stare, how did a lupe get so big? It's bizarre!
Bouncer notices you staring but he just smiles, "I am Bouncer, who do we have here?" he asks politely.
Umm...guest." you state, trying not to oggle at this tubby creature. Bouncer's smile grows wider, "It's okay to be suprised, I don't mind," he smiles, flicking you lightly with his chubby tail, "It's a natural reaction. I suspect you're here to look around?" You nod, relaxing a lot. "The show doesn't start for hours, but I can tell you more about this circus and me, if you would like?"
Yes please!" you say, sitting on the grass by the fat lupe.
Excellent!" he grins, "We'll start right away."

Gender: Male Age: 30yrs old Pelt: Shades of brown with purple and yellow (The bright colours are dye, but don't tell no-one!) Personality: Friendly, caring, kind, lazy Accent: English-slightly educated (I have a loud voice) Fave colour: Purple and yellow! Mate/Love: Maybe some day when people can accept what they look like Crush: None Offspring: I like pups, but the circus life isn't ideal for raising young, truthfully... B/day: 1st of August Birthstone: Peridot, for Friendship Birth-Flower: Gladiola Family: I don't have any. Well maybe my old pack are somewhere, but the circus is my family now Friends This is my petpet, Cubblet. He is so cute and he helps me on stage. He's very well trained =D The self-acceptance campaign was founded by Bouncer in his earlier years of performing in the circus when he recieved a bad audience who took an instant dislike from him because of the way he looked. Bouncer was able to take it because he has his own shield of protection called "self-acceptance". He learnt to look at his body and accept its imperfections and learnt to love his own original look. But he understood that there was pretty much nobody else who could look at themselves without seeing nothing but faults. So, with the help and funding from the circus, who were all for the campaign after spending their lives as "freaks", Bouncer set up the orginisation. From then on, the circus in its travelling has held special days at Neopian schools, demonstrations in authorised public places, fairs and all sorts of activities promoting the Self-Acceptance Campaign (or SAC, for short) to teach young and adults alike about the importance of self-acceptance. Unfortunately, alot of the work from the circus has been wasted, or just not been enough to persuade people. Hatred against the way you look is practically a part of the school curriculum, predjudice is everywhere, even adults aren't mature enough to look past the physical "imperfections" in people. Looking different can effect your lives, your family, people you care about, predjudice can even prevent people from having a succesful career. But if you can support the organisation (by simply displaying one of the links below on your petpage, shop or userlookup) then together, we can make a difference. And remember, as Bouncer has once said, "It is more important to establish mental well-being before attempting to change physical appearences." Me!
