Member Ranks | Council Tasks | Councilors and Requirements

Promotions in RANA are based on the length of time spent in the guild coupled with the level of activity. Even if you do not participate in many of the guild activities, we expect you to post on the guild chat regularly, even if it's about a Random Event you received or a lab zap. Below are the various ranks and the normal way to achieve them. ALL conditions must be met before a promotion is earned. In other words, even if you stay in the guild for a year, if you have no posts you will stay a Starter for all eternity. Exceptions to these rules can be granted by the Guild Council for exceptional activity.

Our ranks are named after types of paint brushes; the higher the rank, the more desirable (and more expensive) the brush. Post totals are since joining RANA, not since your last promotion. *UPDATE* Even though we encourage activeness here, we do not encourage spamming. Spam is not just posting things like "There's a killer looking in my window," but it is also posting one or two word posts very frequently in a short amount of time. While we love it when people post things like "How is everyone's day going?" we do not want people posting things to the effect of "hi" or "anyone here?" three times in two minutes, for example. If you make an accidental double-post, that is fine, as I understand that this happens once in a while. However, if your posts are determined to be spam, the posts will be deleted and, for the first offense, you will be warned. Second time you will be suspended from the guild for two days, and the third time you will be banned from the guild and any pets you have UFA through us will be taken down. The number of spam posts at all stages will be recorded and not counted toward promotion. If anyone has any questions about this policy, feel free to ask.

Member Ranks and Requirements

Starter

Join the guild. Easy as that.

Sketch

Remain in the guild for at least one (1) month

Have at least ten (10) posts in the guild message board

Cloud

Remain in the guild for at least three (3) months

Have at least twenty-five (25) posts in the guild message board

Desert

Remain in the guild for at least six (6) months

Have at least fifty (50) posts in the guild message board

Baby

Remain in the guild for at least one (1) YEAR

Have at least one hundred (100) posts in the guild message board

Council Positions and Tasks

Though the council ranks also are associated with paint brushes, the most of the paint brushes are not currently associated with the function of the Councilor, the exception being the Maraquan, which belongs to the Leader. The paint brushes are Maraquan, Faerie, Royal, Plushie, and Pirate. All Councilors are expected to be responsible for monitoring the guild message boards, deleting any inappropriate posts. As we get more members, Councilors will also become responsible for monitoring the status of pets UFA, in case they have been adopted without the original owner telling us. In addition to these duties, the Councilors shall also have individual jobs to perform to keep the guild running smoothly. The jobs are:

Leader

The Leader delegates tasks to other members. The Leader must approve the actions of the other Councilors, unless the other Councilors have a majority vote in favor of the action in question. In other words, in order to overturn a decision made by the Leader, at least three of the other four Councilors must come forward in disagreement with the Leader. The Leader may also have control over petpages that the Petpage Keeper cannot have on his or her account(s) if asked to do so. The Leader can also resolve disputes between Councilors and/or members.

Petpage Keeper

The Petpage Keeper is responsible for maintaining any guild-related petpages, as well as coming up with ideas for new ones as he or she finds necessary. The Petpage Keeper will be in frequent contact with other Councilors to keep the information on the guild pages up-to-date. The Petpage Keeper must have at least one permanent pet to keep the Annex Page on, though other guild petpages may be delegated to the Leader or HTML Expert as necessary. In the event that petpages are delegated, the Petpage Keeper must either provide the code for the page or provide adequate guidance to the maker of the petpage to ensure the proper formatting and content. In the absence of an HTML Expert, the Petpage Keeper assumes the duties of such.

HTML Expert

The HTML Expert is responsible for the design and maintenance of the guild layout. The HTML expert must design the layout within the restrictions set forward by the Leader unless he or she can provide good reason why this is impossible. The HTML Expert may also have control over petpages that the Petpage Keeper cannot have on his or her account(s).

Marketer/Recruiter

The Marketer/Recruiter is responsible for advertising the guild and gaining new members, as well as helping to advertise the pets UFA through our agency. He or she will spend much time on the boards advertising. The Marketer/Recruiter will be in frequent communication with the other Councilors as well, because his or her actions will probably either affect or be affected by the actions of the other Councilors. Thus, being a "people person" is an essential requirement of this position.

Activities Coordinator

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for coming up with ideas for, and running, activities for the guild members to participate in. The Activities Coordinator must inform the Petpage Keeper of all activities, and the winners of such if applicable, so that they may be posted on the Activities Page. The Activities Coordinator must be a creative person.

Councilors and Requirements to Become a Councilor

To become a Councilor, you must have at least achieved the rank of Sketch. In your application, you must include the job for which you are applying and your qualifications. Provide examples of your work if possible.
