Welcome to the Mutant Militia's list of Famous Mutants, yet another branch of the Mutant Militia! This collection of superlative honoraries is intended to recognize the many great mutants in Neopia and their dedicated owners who have worked so hard to help them excel!
Below you'll find the list itself as well as general information on the list and how it was created and how you can get your pet and their accomplishments listed if they truly qualify as a Famous Mutant! ;)
About the List
How was the list created?
This list was generated by extensive research of all pets listed in the Mutant Militia though some pets not already on the Mutant Militia but already famous because of their BC wins, battledome success, intelligence, etc. have been invited to join the Militia and be included in the list!
The Superlatives themselves were generated simply by examining all of the available methods for mutants pets in Neopia to distinguish themselves. I wanted to create a way to honor hardworking Mutant pets and their owners, but trying to decide whether a pet was "famous" or not was going to be far too difficult and subjective. So instead of trying to say that a pet is more popular or well-known than another, I decided to look at objective factors like age, number of trophies, etc. Now there are a few subjective superlatives for sure, but for the most part I tried to make this as objective as possible!!
Additionally, there are usually only the top three pets listed. After all, we don't really need to know who are the top 100 oldest mutants in Neopia. But where it is clear that owners and pets have made exceptional achievements, it is possible that I will list more than the top three as our ultimate goal here is to recognize hardworking mutants and their owners. So as long as it doesn't get ridiculous I'll try and recognize as many amazing mutants as possible! In contrast, there were some situations where I couldn't find three pets that merited being listed under a certain category, so in those cases I just listed those that I had. However, as I continue my research those are filling up fast!
How Can I Get My Pet on the List?
Well first of all, your pet must be a member of the Mutant Militia's directory. This is mostly because I refuse to list pets without their owner's consent so if a pet is in the directory I can feel confident that their owners have already given permission. So if you are interested in being on the Famous Mutants page you can neomail me at GetxthexPoint and ask to be included in the directory and on this list.
And obviously your pet has to have distinguished themselves in some way, either by winning in the BC a lot or being extremely strong or intelligent, etc. If you think one of your mutant pets deserves the superlative more than the pet that is listed please neomail me so I can rectify the situation. I've tried to be very thorough but things are always changing and it's easy to miss things here!
Additionaly, if you think your pet deserves to be recognized but a superlative doesn't exist for your pet please neomail me with your pet's achievement and the suggested new superlative you'd like me to add. If I agree with you, I will then add your pet and the new superlative!
Can I Suggest a New Superlative?
Yes! You absolutely can! Not only can you suggest a new superlative category but you can also suggest that your pet be included in the new category or any old category that already exists!

The Most Intelligent Mutants!

Intelligence in Neopia is often divided in terms of performance in the general Neopian Book Awards and performance in the Booktastic Book Awards. Unfortunately, I've only been able to find one mutant pet thus far who has one either of these awards. I'm sure there are more out there but as yet I'm unaware of them. So for now I'm only recognizing the top three most intelligent Mutants, but in the future there may be more divisions in this category! 1st - x_Etienne_x
