Lost

You find yourself standing in the heart of a large forest feeling like a fool for getting lost within the massive heap of trees. If you could just find the path you had been walking on before then you'd be able to follow it out; however, you had been wandering for two hours in nothing but circles and had no luck in finding it. Unable to find the path, you were starting to fear the fact that it was getting later in the afternoon and it would only be a few hours until the sun would set—and you knew that being alone in this forest at night would only promise your life to be in danger.

You continued to wander through the trees and assorted foliage in hope of finding the path, but instead you found something else. Jumping down from the canopy of a large tree and landing three feet in front of you was what appeared to be a lupine. He was mainly of a smoky grey pelt with navy blue and chrome coloured stars covering both of his forelegs; furthermore, he had two larger chrome stars on his body, one on the thigh of his left hind leg, and the other on the center of his spine, just below his shoulder blades.

You also noticed that the male had navy-blue spikes that protruded from the rear of his spine, just above his tail bone, above his elbows near his armpits of his front legs, and also on the back of each of his ears. Another noticeable visual oddity of this male was the strips of golden metal that wrapped around his tail, across parts of spine, and on his front legs. His muzzle, front paws, hind legs, and underbelly appeared as though they had been dipped in pale grey creamy paint.

But perhaps the strangest, and most eerie detail about this startling canine was his eyes. His left eye was surrounded by a large, navy-outlined chrome star that seemed to help finalize the starry look of the male; furthermore, the male's eyes were colorless. He had a set of pure white eyes with the black star-shaped pupils that were currently locked upon you.

You stood absolutely still, shocked with utter fear of becoming his next meal. The lupine stood with his head held high and his chest puffed with confidence, it was as though he was posing as some kind of international hero. Just then his voice boomed into the afternoon air with clear and self-assured tone, .."Ayado here, to save the day."..

You watched as the lupine stood confidently a few feet from you. Just by looking at him it was obvious to say that he was faster, and stronger than you. You didn't trust him, but what choice did you have but to take a risk and allow him to help you?

.."You're lost and need to find the north exit of this forest, am I correct?"..

Any idiot would be able to tell that you were lost, but how did he know where you had to go? The only explanation in your fearful mind was that he'd been watching you ever since you first entered the forest. This fact made you confirm that you couldn't trust him.

You didn't talk to him to tell him your name, or to even confirm that you'd follow him, but he didn't seem to mind. It was as though he preferred listening to his own voice over yours anyway. His iris-less gaze finally shifted away from you as he looked over his right shoulder. .."I'll lead you out of here,".. he stated simply as he began to weave his way through the trees and small bushes.

You hesitated a moment before following him, but you followed him anyway keeping your distance. He hadn't shown any signs that he was going to attack you, but you were not going to take the chance just in case.

As he weaved through the trees he did it with such elegance and professionalism; furthermore, his eyes were always locked ahead and he did not even bother to look at the ground where he continually and successfully avoided every obstacle.

You followed him in silence through the many obstacles of the forest for twenty minutes, scared that he was leading you to his pack for a meal—but what choice did you have?

It wasn't until you spotted the path that you had so foolishly wandered from, that you started to discard the idea of him tricking you. Perhaps the lupe was sincerely helping you—but you couldn't be sure.

As you followed him onto the path you studied his features more freely. The star on his spine, you now noticed, was surrounded by circle-like symbols with lines bordering around their edges. You've known creatures to have different races and tribes, so was he of a tribe? What was he exactly? He continued travelling down the path ahead of you, still not bothering to look back at you at all.

Perhaps asking him just one question wouldn't be harmful, .."What are you?".. you asked, attempting to sound confident and brave.

The male stopped clean in his tracks and turned to face you for the first time since he had since he had dropped down from the treetop.
.."What am I?".. he repeated your question as though he could ask it better, .."I'm handsome!".. He chuckled, and you notice that even is laugh sounded as though he had practiced it until perfection. .."I am a handsome lupe,".. now he was just messing with you, he had to understand what you had meant.

Before you could respond to his last pretentious statement, Ayado's perfectly articulated voice rung out again, .."I am a seer, you know, like a prophet?".. Star-shaped pupils were locked on your face, as though he was expecting to see a look of awe across your face, .."Meaning I can see things. Things from the past, present, and future; I can see details, or events.".. He raised a single brow, emphasizing his conceited tone. .."Now no one's perfect,".. he stated as though he had to explain to you that he was not perfect even though he appeared to be so, .."and that being so, even I cannot control or choose what it is that I see when I see things."..

You stood there, still keeping your distance from the mysterious lupine, and wondered if he was telling the truth or just stating a lie to make himself look good.

For very brief moment, Ayado's eyes flashed the color red and then they went back to their normal, colorless star-form. .."In fact, if I could choose what I can see, then I would certainly choose to see something far more important and interesting than that tree root that you're going to trip over."..

Tree root? Now you were certain that this lupine had to be making this prophet thing up. You were not going to trip over some tree root; particularly, in the middle of the day when you could see the ground quite fine.

Ayado turned his gaze away from you, continuing to lead you out of the forest he walked to the end of the path that separated the woodland from the clearing. He gazed back at you. .."Now before you go, don't you want see them?"..
Them? .."Everyone wants to see my eyes.".. He spoke, yet again, as though he was the most important creature alive. You hesitated before walking closer and kept your eyes locked upon the mysterious lupine, then--THUNK!

Ayado looked down at you, with his colourless, star-eyes, and sighed in a know-it-all fashion, .."I did warn you about the root."..

Now sprawled out upon the forest ground, you looked up at him in protest; however, before you could open your mouth to talk he said, .."Now there's no need to thank me for the warning, but I do believe that I deserve an apology for you not taking me seriously. I mean I was only looking out for you."..

You grunted to yourself, and lifted your dirtied body off of the forest ground. As soon as you got up you wanted to leave, there was obviously no way of getting along with the mysterious, and slightly ego-centric lupine called Ayado.

Memories

Ayado in Guild: Ayado was about to open his mouth to reply to Atchned when his eyes darted behind the dark male to what appeared to be a random puff of rocks and smoke.

But no, it was Swep. Who obviously had ran way too quickly down the mountainside. Yado began to chuckle, his laugh--like everything else about him-- seemed too perfect... how he wanted it to sound.

. "Gotta be a little more careful with your ability there Swep!" Yado called out, now feeling better about the loss of his friend with the new company around. It had been days since he had company; furthermore, the company he had had had (HOLY 3 hads!) disappeared on him.. Xic.

That didn't matter now. Now what mattered was finding his other friends. Completely ignoring Tal and the other lupess, Ayado shifted his head, as though to point, from Atchned to Swep.

. "Atchned, this is Swep. Swep, this is Atchned.." he chuckled again, his teeth almost too white for a canine, "and I am Ayado."
