Aren't you too old for Neopets? Its a kids site!
Shockingly, Neopets wasn't designed for kids in the beginning :P You can read about it here if you like.

Can I be your Neofriend?
I run auction lending for TDN's avatar lending, and as such keep my Neofriends to only close friends and the people I am lending to. Besides... why do you want to be friends with someone you don't even know? Thats kinda creepy lol

HTML and Coding

Can you teach me HTML/CSS/to code my own lookup?
No, this type of stuff isn't really something you can teach over neomail - not to mention that it'd be incredibly time consuming for me to do so. Because this question bugs me so often, I have written a basic guide to coding on Neopets here. It also has detailed tutorials to create your own user or pet lookup, gallery layout or blog.

How do you replace the images for Trades/Auctions/Neomail/etc buttons on your lookup to different images?
This is the most common coding question I get asked, aside from the teach-me-to-code ones xD Basically you need to set the current images to invisible with visibility:hidden CSS, and then make a strip with the new images and set it as the background of that section. I'm not in the habit of giving out complete codes but that should be enough to get you started ;)

How do you have all your pets displayed on your main account's lookup?
Same principle as replacing the icons actually - they're an image set as the background of the #userneopets module.

Can I use the code for *insert premade here* with my own images to make my own lookup? I'll still credit you!
Sorry, but no. I've said on this page and its actually in the code too, so even if you neomail to ask my answer will still be no. While I did used to allow it too many people weren't crediting (even when they said they would) so now my answer won't change.

The Graphics

You said I removed the credit on one of your graphics... but I don't even know what that is!
Most of my graphics have two types of credit - one imbedded into the image and one that links back to the appropriate page. Both must be left on, and you can be reported for theft if you remove them.

Can I change the font colour / size / etc of something on a layout made by you?
Yes. You may change small things about my layouts like that, as long as my credit remains intact and its not the images you are changing for your own.

Can I replace the credit link with one that matches the lookup?
Erm, no. I think my credits are very unobtrusive to start with so if you don't like them then simply just don't use the lookup.

You should make a layout with *insert theme here*.
I actually find this kind of rude - requests are closed, please respect that. You may consider it 'just a suggestion' but I get a couple of those a day so, trust me, pretty much everything has been suggested already!

Can you make me *insert custom here*?
No. I don't have the time.

But I've seen people with custom layouts made by you!
Well yes - occasionally I'll make a board on the Charter neoboards offering customs. Thats the only place I take requests from, neomails asking will be ignored.

Where are the Charter boards? I can't find them...
The Charter boards are only visible to people who have had Neopets Premium for over 3 months. For more info on Premium go here.

What programs do you use to make your graphics?
Currently, I'm using Photoshop CS4 for the graphics, though some of my older stuff was made with Elements three and six. All my coding is done by hand in TextWrangler.

Why won't you do premade guild layouts, or other types of graphics?
I'm sorry, but I simply do not have the time!

About the Family

And finally, all my beautiful pets! None of them will ever be up for trade or adoption so please do not ask - it will earn you a permanent block from me. We're quite happy just as we are ^_^

This is Iz - she was my very first pet when I joined Neo all those years ago. My favourite pet, she's also the one with the personality most closely resembling my own. She never stops learning new things and has first pick of any new books I restock. I couldn't part with her for anything!

Zadue was originally intended to be one of my lab-to-adopt pets. But then when the pound went down for all that time after Neo 2.0 was released... I got attached :3 I morphed her into a Draik at the beginning of 2009 and am training her in case TNT ever decides to give us a new plot.

I hatched Sari in January 2010. She was originally going to be White but after I painted her Pirate for the wearables... I haven't yet been able to paint over it, its too pretty!

During the purge of late 2010 / early 2011, a wonderful friend managed to catch Soft for me. She was originally intended to be to trade for an UC Darigan Draik, but after entering her into the BC a few times and having her as my active pet... I just can't let her go! So she is mine now forever :)

The family prankster, Piper, was my second pet, created a few hours after Iz. Partners in crime, they're really like two sides of the same person... which is true in a way because together they make up me. Piper was labbed a while before she became a Xweetok, and I felt this matched her personality too much to keep labbing. I painted her Pirate with my second FFQ.

Once I began getting pets on my side accounts, I decided I wanted another Kougra - one who was the exact opposite of Iz, in personality and more obviously in colour - and thus Hyxea was born. I forget what I named her after, it was something in one of my anatomy lectures back in second year of med school lol

My beautiful snowy Xweetok, Brynde is named after a place I go on holidays sometimes. She is the pride and joy of my alias account and she knows it :P Spoilt but essentially sweet-natured, thats probably the best description I could offer you of Bryn.

I created Axeci on Hissi day 2009, in the hope of labbing him into someone's dream pet - and shockingly on his very first zap, he turned into one of my dream pets! Go figure lol My amazing friend Staci gave him his Desert Hissi wearables so he looks every bit as princely as he is!

One of the few pets I've adopted as-is, SD was gifted to me by a super-sweet user called Chari. She'd seen my dream pets listed and mailed me out of the blue to see if I'd like to adopt him ^_^ It was one of the most amazing things anyone has ever done for me on this site and I love SD all the more because he reminds me of the wonderful user he came from!

An amazing friend of mine saw Thorn was up for trade a while back, and knew I'd been wanting an UC Darigan Kougra so she let me know :) I set up a three-way trade using the UC Grey Lupe a friend had given me to trade for my dreamies when he left Neo and was lucky enough to get Thorn :D

Another pet I adopted to lab before the pound went down and grew too attached to, I morphed Chavaun into a Krawk myself. The original plan was to paint him Royal but after I dressed him up in his Neovian attire, I decided he's perfect as he is ^_^

I created Czaa a while back as a Bori with the intention of painting her faerie... after Chari amazed me by giving me SD, I decided Czaa was destined to become my final Draik. While I saved for that I was labbing her and she turned into a Jelly Kougra - which was once one of my dream pets so I kept her as she was ^_^

I adopted Bruno from the pound back when I was a newbie, because he was a white Grundo and I thought having a "painted" pet made me accomplished in this game. Even after I started to morph and paint my own pets and learned that the true accomplishment was mastering your own goals, I couldn't give Bruno away. He is now my sole permanent labrat.

As a simply amazing thank-you present when the first user obtained all the pet avatars I lent at the time, Lindy hatched Sheng for me and for all the other users I lend. The generosity of people on this site never ceases to astound me and I am forever grateful to her :)

I've already mentioned the ALP quite a bit, its a program I inherited from its previous caretaker Jerry. Sadly Jerry's Neopets account was CG'd and he no longer has access to the email it was created on so TNT won't give it back :( In honour of Jerry and all he did setting up the lending program I now run, I created my own Jerry who will forever be a red Pteri for me to remember him by!

Caj once belonged to a friend who has since left Neopets - when she left, she gifted Caj to me for my avatar lending ^_^ She has been pounded twice now by ungrateful lendees, and I am forever indebted to the two wonderful people who caught her for giving her back!

My Fire Blumaroo, Fire, was another pet I inherited from Jerry after he left Neo and handed over the ALP to me.

Finally, I've got Curlee who - like so many of my avatar pets - was gifted to me to lend out to others needing the avatars :)
