Caffeine's Monthly Meetings! Hello Fellow Caffeiners! On this page you can find a recap of the monthly meetings if you weren't able to make it. The most recent guild meeting was January 17, the same day as Caffeine's FIRST Birthday Bash! Hopefully this page will provide a detailed enough summary so you can get a feel for what we discussed and decided on last night :) . We're just a little bit crazy.. We started off the night with a couple hours of crazy partying! :P You know us Caffeiners, we're a little nuts! :D But that's what makes us interesting of course! The night started off with me, Jules, running in late (because she's NEVER on time to anything) and in the process slipping on a banana peel that the evil David laid out for her...from there on, the night only got crazier! From Amy-Jean's tango-ing skills, Eleni's Hammer time, the wild games of twister, Manda's mad macarena (there's alliteration for ya) skillz to Josh's life size game of monopoly and Alex's Mud Slide, we busted out our best singing voices and dance moves to party like it was 1999 for Caffeine's first birthday! :D Many of our members (Manda, Vinz, Lisa, David, Shera) hosted Riddles, Puzzles and party games to keep the guidlies chatting away and music blasting. Not to mention many of our members hosted wonderful trades and auctions for everyone to participate in! (If you would like to see what went on go back to page 60 or so on the guild messages! :P) *continues to do MJ's thiller in the corner and fails miserably* *stares at Holly doing the moonwalk* I cannot begin to thank everyone for the party mood they brought last night, because I have to say.. C!'s first birthday party was a smashing success! After a teeeeeny bit of singing, dancing and all around silliness, it was time to get down to business! We had our monthly guild meeting and recieved so much input on a wide variety of topics. Lets get down to business! Newspaper We started off with the possibility of having a guild newspaper. Eleni graciously volunteered herself as the editor of the newspaper; with the help of everyone that attended the guild meeting, we decided upon the following topics to include in the newspaper: Parts of the Paper Art Comics Notable Userlookup/Neopets/Neohome Cooking Corner Short Stories Editorial from Toni* Dear Jonjon* Classifieds How-To What are you?* (Thanks Manda) Furthermore, we decided that it would be best for people to apply for the following positions except the ones with the asterisks, those have already been taken. Basically, if you are applying for a position, you are basically serving as an editor for that section. All the guild members will send their entries to you and you will be able to choose which one appears in the next issue of the newspaper. You will still be able to submit recipes, stories, comics and more! Anyone and everyone in Caffeine will be able to submit something for whatever section they wish. Eleni, the new editor in chief :P, came up with an application for those who wish to be on C!'s newspaper team. It can be found on Eleni's Elephante's page or here: Application 1. Which topic would you like to be sub editor for? 2. Do you understand that the guild newspaper will be updated every 2 weeks? Do you think you will have enough time set aside to help contribute? 3. Do you have a spare petpage that you could host your topic area on? 4. Is there anything else you would like to include in your application? Names We also thought of some names that we could call the guild newspaper. It has been narrowed down to five, 1. While the Kettle Boils 2. The Caffeine Chronicle 3. Decaf! 4. Jitters 5. The Daily Caffeiner These will appear on a poll in the near future so be sure to vote! Toy Chest The next topic of discussion was a new activity called the "Toy Chest". It will serve as Wednesday's new theme and will be referred to as Wacky Wednesday! :P (How fitting for Caffeine!) The Toy Chest will run the exact same way as Book Club Monday; one person will host it (I don't mind) and each wednesday, everyone who wants to participate will throw toys my way. I will then randomly choose a person to be the recipient of all the toys for that week. BUT! That isn't all! Each wednesday will have a different theme, so for example, one week I can choose "Plushies" as a theme and everyone who wants to participate would throw something plushie my way :) The more plushies you throw, the higher chance you have of getting chosen! Also, there is a price range for each time you choose, the guild has decided to put a price ceiling and floor of 1-2K :) Toy Library Alex, also thought of another great idea. Ever get bored of your pets wearables? Tired of seeing the same background and having your pet play with the same toy ever week? (I sound like a boring salesman on TV) Caffeine is now going to have a "Toy Library!" Basically it works just like a regular library, you can check out the toys and wearables you want and return it in a timely manner :) You can check the workings out here: http://www.neopets.com/~Lyzira A Quick Thank You! After doing away with the one month thank you present a little while ago, Cloud thought of another way to just thank members for being a part of Caffeine. She thought of a great idea to randomly hand out items as a quick thank you for being in the guild! :) Guild Plot By just looking at the huge response people were getting when posting puzzles or riddles, Manda thought of a great idea- to have a guild wide plot/puzzle activity. It is bound to be awesome, while the details are fuzzy at the moment, C! is going to have a great new activity on its hands! Battledome Tourney To satisfy you Battledomers out there, a possible battledome tournament was thought of. I will glady be the host of this activity seeing as I would not participate in this activity...I fail at BDing. A tournament sounds like A LOT of fun and hopefully we can get the ball rolling soon enough! Webbie Our next big topic was our guild webbie. Many of the links have been broken for a quite a while so we need volunteers who would be willing to host these pages for the guild :). These pages need hosting: Adoption/Trade Page Trades (Ex.
