The cryptic forest creaked with darkened sounds, with the illustrious moon shining its light upon the thick canopy. Only vague portions shone through leaving the shrubs desperately sprawling out for new life under the snow. The birds within the star laden sky flitted about, creating a joyous free ballet to present to the forestry. Though no one could clarify the exact type of forest it may be, seeing as how it was filled with various oaks, pines, and elms, of all different statures, it was tranquil to the common eye.
It seemed though abandoned, by life or society itself, merely the crickets chirping among the swaying grasses. A thin stream crawled across tiny pebbles and trickled a few yards away, holding only small minos of which were difficult to catch, and a few species of algae hung across it's rocks. The water, as it trickled over the rocks gave such a soft sound, which when added to cricket song created such a sweet melody. Following the flow of water, flakes of snow danced amongst the moonlight, glittering as they twisted and twirled in their graceful decent to the ground.
This was a place of pure tranquility and beauty, a least to those who possesed the ability to see it. She was one of those, the abandoned terrain was simply beautiful. Her sleek frame blended with the broken moonlight, shimmering as though she was made of those etheral specks. Surely a trick of the light? Spectral being she was, moving as silent as mist betwix the intervoven trees. What was she? The soft hum of the firefly upon the wind added to the chorus it's dim light illuminating her frame as she sat beside the small stream, emerald eyes flicked as she watched the trickling water.
