So, take your time, no need to rush. Yes, prizes, trophy, sidebar, and Final avatar are still available. You must complete the entire plot to obtain them. You probably have noticed that this guide has been relocated from Aardax's Petpage.   This Darkest Faerie Plot Guide will remain intact until TNT closes the Darkest Faerie / Altador Plot. The ending steps were released quite some time ago, and prizes are now available to those that finish.

This Guide works top down. Beginning steps are just under this section, latest stuff is at the bottom.

These sections scroll. Widen this window if you don't see the section scroll bars.

It is a good idea, to read the entire section you're working on before beginning the steps. If you're just beginning to use this guide mid-plot, it's a good idea to read the ending steps for the last part you worked on, to ensure you're ready for the next section.

ALWAYS use the buttons on the plot pages. TNT's system uses your pushing of the buttons to register the steps you're doing in the plot. ALWAYS ALWAYS use the buttons. They are typically found under the images on the pages, or near the bottom of the page (scroll down) and are normally quite simple such as "Return to Archives", "Return to Altador" etc.

If you've read and tried the section you're on 2 times carefully, and still have trouble, please feel free to neomail me. Please include details on what you're trying and what's going wrong. I will try to help as fast as possible. No, i will not reiterate any bulk of this guide via email, so some replies may be to simply re-read a particular section. Neomail: glenstew Aardax plot guides get many thousands of visitors a day. If my neomail is full, please try again soon.

 Obtain Book of
  Ages

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Hall of Heroes.

Click on the Janitor (cough Foreman Bob cough) then click the button that appears next to him. And he'll yell at you some. Note: If you have trouble pushing the button, use this URL:

http://www.neopets.com/altador/hallofheroes.phtml?janitor=1&push_button=1

Go to Altadorian Archives and enter the Archivist's Room (door on right).

Click on the book that's propping up the table leg. The Archivist will tell you can't have it till you get something else to hold the table up. Click the button on that page.

Go to the Quarry (Secret link in trees bottom left of Altador map), and get a flat rock (click on flat rock upper right in image). Use the continue button. If un clickable, refresh the page.

Go back to the Archivist's Room and click on the book again. The book will now be moved to the stand in the back of the room (back right).

Click on the book on the stand to open it up. Click the top corners of the pages to navigate to the prologue on pages 2 & 3. Read the prologue.

  Move on to next section.

 Access the
  Observatory

Return to the Hall of Heroes and visit the Janitor again. He will tell you you need some grease for the button.

Click on the different statues until you see a bottle of oil and a red rag. Note which statue you clicked on just in case. . When you see the oil and rag. Click the button below it. If you don't click the button, don't worry, the oil and rag will appear again by some statue (not necessarily the same one).

Click on the Janitor (Odd-Job-Bob) again and push the button again. The roof will open. Note: If you have trouble pushing the button, use this URL:

http://www.neopets.com/altador/hallofheroes.phtml?janitor=1&push_button=1

You now have access to the stairs located in the left side of the Hall of Heroes, also accessible through the stairs pictured in statue #10 "Gordos, the Collector.

In the main part of the Hall, when you view each statue, there is a very thin link at the very top of each statue picture that will lead you to a constellation pattern that is depicted as being on the ceiling above the statue. Each one is different. Also, on the constellation image, there is a very thin link at the very bottom of the image that takes you back to the statue page.

See the Statue / Constellation comparison chart on this page.

So far, there is nothing to do with the Constellation gems or the observatory except to look at them. For now, head back to the Archivist to see what he has to say.

 Join Astronomy
  Club

After Completing the steps above, you're now ready to join the long anticipated Astronomy club.

Head over to the Altadorian Archives. Click on the Middle Club Announcement on the big bulletin board. The President of the club will welcome you with your very own "E-Z See Telescope". Note it is NOT an inventory item.

Head Over to The Archivists Office (Right next to Bulletin board) and he'll say "Ah, I see you've joined the Astronomy Club. Is there more excitement to be found than in observing the heavens, and mapping the intricate patterns of the cosmos?". Now that you have your telescope, you're ready to peer into the night Sky.

 See the Stars

With your newly acquired Telescope in hand (Again, it is not an inventory item). Head over to he Hall of Heroes. Click on Odd-Job-Bob in the back right corner and he'll tell you how jealous he is of your membership. Go Back to the hall and click the stairs on the left wall. ( NOTE: the following is necessary, but at this point there is nothing for you to plot.)

Click on the Telescope holder on the top of the tripod. The page will switch to the loading screen for the Telescope View (It can take quite a while.). Here's where it gets interesting. Please be aware that everyone's star field is different.

Below is a reference guide for the Telescope controls. They can be frustrating until you get used to them. And even then, they can still tweak a nerve. Don't be afraid to click around. You CAN'T hurt anything. After the reference guide are some URLs for automated star mappers. This point ends what is needed plot wise for this section. However, it is highly advisable to read what's below.

Most importantly, at the bottom of the Telescope view, is your coordinates indicator. It shows you the coordinates your cross hairs are pointing at. You start off at 0,0 (Center) It works like any rectangular coordinate grid. The first digits represent X. Your horizontal travel to the left and the right. A negative number meaning you are left of center. and a positive number meaning you are right of center. The second set of numbers represents Y. Your vertical travel up and down. Where a positive number means you are above center, and a negative number means you are below center. For now, your telescope can travel between -340 through 340 on both the X and the Y axis. You can see an example of the grid layout here.

Movement is accomplished by using the arrow keys on your keyboard, or by clicking in the scoped view. The closer you click towards center the shorter the movement. Also, unless you click exactly on one of the cross hair lines, it will move the center of cross hair diagonally towards where you clicked. You can travel in straight lines, if you line up your cursor directly on the cross hair that is parallel with the direction you wish to travel. Experience is the best teacher so, enough on that.

At the top left of your Telescope view there is a red button. Clicking it reveals your tools menu. We will eventually use it to trace out the certain constellations when we figure out what exactly we're doing. Test them out. Don't be afraid, you can't delete your stars. You can trace stars using connect stars, ad hi lighted stars, and remove hi lighted stars. or delete all that you did (But not your real stars.). You'll see if you trace or add enough stars, you get an option to submit.

Advance mapping is not required. Note: You can't submit constellations just yet, if you're just getting this far.

When the time comes that you should be looking for your constellations, if you get stuck, copy the results of this web page (Unique to you from one step to another) This is your stardata: http://www.neopets.com/altador/astro.phtml?get_star_data=1

Paste that data into one of the following 2 plotters:

This plotter page "StarGate" finds the constellation for you. Returns coordinates, and plots it's location. Warning, the following page flickers when scrolled/resized. If you are susceptible to seizures from blinking/flashing screens, do NOT use this mapper(not clickable on purpose):: http://members.verizon.net/~vze2g7jw/dfp/sg.htm I created this a while ago, so you can trust it. I haven't posted it before due to bandwidth conservation concerns. 20,000 users would probably get me into trouble. This plotter requires the latest Java. if the page loads blank, or doesn't work, you need to update your JAva for it to work.

This plotter "Ye Olde Sky Mapper (Boomspeed Not clickable on purpose)" http://boomspeed.com/zaniam/theSky.html (You must right-click paste.). Be sure to turn on and move the mapper's sliding guide around. It does not spot it for you. This will help you spot your constellation much easier. If the white fill-in box doesn't show up on the boomspeed page, hilight the whole page (hold left mouse button down, and drag mouse down), starting with the top text, and it will pop up.

You must Move on to the Next section.

 The Sleeper
  Constellation (01)

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Altadorian Archives. See the Archivist.

He says the same thing, I know. Now return to the map of Altador and click the Tomb on the bottom left corner of the Altador map.

Once at the tomb page, click on one of the 6 little dots that make a V on the doors. (Image below). NOTE: If you cant click them, be sure you've completed all the steps above and try refreshing.

You will see the doors change.

Leave the Tomb window open for reference. Go back to the Archivist's Room And He'll comment on the pattern on the doors (hit the button). Don't miss this step. If you went to, or are still in the in the telescope before this point. you are seeing the wrong sky. You must exit the telescope to se the new sky.

Here's where you get mad at me and anyone who told you to map your sky. See the revised "See the Stars" section above for a quick way spot your constellation if you need to. Use the 2 tools listed in the bottom of the "See the Stars" section of the guide. Either way, head over to the Hall of Heroes and run on up to the Observatory. Click on the top of the Tripod to place your telescope. In your new sky, look for 6 stars that match the dots on the door EXACTLY. I found it easy to look for the two bottom dots first. Connect your dots as they appear on the door (straight and not tilted though). Do not connect the two bottom dots. It should be a little like this / . Heck, it's a lot like that but bigger, it fills up a good chunk of the view. Hit submit and wallah. If it doesn't work, hit erase all and try again. If you are sure you know where it is, and it won't accept it. Re-load / Refresh the telescope page and see if it comes back up wit the eyes on it. Many people seem to be getting negative submits, only to find it worked when they reload.

You're not done. Purrrrdy though ain't it? Run back down stairs, click on the darkest faerie statue. Click the "VERY THIN" link that spans the top of the image of her statue. Real purrrdy too huh?! Go back in he hall of heroes, and talk to Odd-Job-Bob in the back corner. Head over to The Altadorian Archives and See the Archivist again. He'll tell you about the newly added pages to the book. Click on the Book of Ages and read the new pages (4). Head out to the Hallway in the Archives, and click on the Astronomy Club Announcement on the Bulletin Board.

 The Dreamer
  Constellation (02)

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Altadorian Archives. See the Archivist.

He says the same thing, I know. Now return to Altador and click the Cloud in the right most corner of the Altador map.

Click on one of the 5 little gaps in he clouds. (Image below). NOTE: If you cant click them, be sure you've completed all the steps above and try refreshing.

You will see the clouds change.

Leave the Cloud window open for reference. Go back to the Archivist's Room And He'll comment on the pattern in the sky. Don't miss this step. If you went to, or are still in the in the telescope before this point. you are seeing the wrong sky. You must exit the telescope to se the new sky.

It is normal for the Sleeper Constellation to still be there. In your new sky, look for 6 stars that match the dots in the clouds EXACTLY. Connect your dots as they appear in the clouds. Do not connect the bottom dot. See images below for scope scale. Hit submit. If it doesn't work, hit erase all and try again. If you are sure you know where it is, and it won't accept it. Re-load / Refresh the telescope page and see if it comes back up wit the image on it. Many people seem to be getting negative submits, only to find it worked when they reload.

You're not done. Extra Purrrrdy though. Run back down stairs, click on the Dreamer statue (left). Click the "VERY THIN" link that spans the top of the image of her statue.

 The First to Rise
  Constellation (03)

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Altadorian Archives. See the Archivist.

He says the same thing, I know. Now return to the map of Altador and click the Tomb, yes the tomb again in the lower left corner of the Altador map.

The link for this step is all but invisible. Once you're at the tomb page (not on the Altador map), hover your mouse around the very bottom left corner of the image. (1 pixel small), It's VERY TINY until your mouse changes, then click. Or try one of the following methods: Click on the page, just above the tomb picture, hit your tab key very carefully 3 times and then hit enter. That method works for most including all but some firefox users. OR TRY Hi lighting the Picture and hitting Tab 3 times, and hitting enter. If you don't go to a new page that has a close up of the Hall of Heroes, back up and try again.

Once you see the close-up of the hall of heroes (hit the button (any)), head over to The Hall of Heroes the normal way, and click on the Dancer statue (statue 11, top left). Click on the window behind her and you'll be taken to a page with sun spots on the road. Click one of the spots to reveal the Constellation Pattern for the First to Rise. Yes, not Dancer.

Leave that window alone, and Run Back to the Archivist's Office. (Noticing a pattern from previous Constellations?)

See the revised "See the Stars" section above for a quick way spot your constellation if you need to. Use the 2 tools listed in the bottom of the "See the Stars" section of the guide. Either way, head over to the Hall of Heroes like the Archivist told you, and run on up to the Observatory. Click on the top of the Tripod to place your telescope. In your new sky, look for 6 stars that match the dots in the road EXACTLY. Connect your dots as they appear in the road. Do not connect all 6 dots.

Run back down stairs, click on the First to Rise Statue (Right Side Faerie Statue # 2). Click the "VERY THIN" link that spans the top of the image of her statue. You'll get a badge, and it'll be in your inventory. I recommend protecting it by putting it in your Safety Deposit Box or your Gallery. No known problems have arisen from doing so. But many who don't have had them lost to random events. And not able to get back.

 The Farmer
  Constellation (04)

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Altadorian Archives. See the Archivist.

He says the same thing, I know. Now return to Altador and click the Farm in the upper right corner of the Altador map near the shore.

Click on the small doorway for the windmill. Or one of the following methods: Click on the page, just above the tomb picture, hit your tab key very carefully and then hit enter. That method works for most including all but some firefox users. OR TRY Hi lighting the Picture and hitting Tab, and hitting enter. OR TRY clicking near the top of the image and hitting tab and hit Enter. If you don't go to a new page that has an image or the inside of the windmill, back up,refresh, and try again.

The following can be done in different orders, but i recommend clicking the lever first, then the doorway on the next page. The doorway on the first page also becomes clickable after pulling the lever but not before.

Once you've clicked the doorway, click one of the small haystacks in the field. You will now see the constellation pattern for the Farmer.

Go back to the Archivist and he'll mention the pattern you've seen. Do NOT skip this step.

In your new sky, look for 6 stars that match the dots in the field. Connect your dots as they appear in the field.

Run back down stairs, click on the Farmer Statue (Statue 04). Click the "VERY THIN" link that spans the top of the image of his statue.

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Altadorian Archives. See the Archivist.

He says the same thing as before, I know. Now return to the Archives and click the Dance Club announcement on the right side of the bulletin board. Looks like Disco ball.

The link for this step is in one of the light spots that make the constellation pattern (image below). If you have trouble clicking it, it is best to use one of the following methods: Clear any mail, battledome, or trade icons etc. from the top of your screen. Click on the page, just above the picture, hit your tab key very carefully and then hit enter. That method works for most including all but some firefox users. OR TRY Hi lighting the Picture and hitting Tab, and hitting enter. OR TRY clicking in the top of the image and hitting tab and hit Enter. If you don't go to a new page that has an image of the Constellation pattern, back up and try again. This club disappears when you're done with the constellation.

Go back to the Archivist and he'll mention the pattern you've seen. Do NOT skip this step.

See the revised "See the Stars" section above for a quick way spot your constellation if you need to. Use the 2 tools listed in the bottom of the "See the Stars" section of the guide. Click on the Book of Ages and read the new pages (4). Head out to the Hallway in the Archives, and click on the Astronomy Club Announcement on the Bulletin Board. That's it for now. Stay Tuned

 The Wave
  Constellation (06)

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Altadorian Archives. See the Archivist.

He says the same thing as before, I know. Now return to the map of Altador and click the docks on the left most shore (upper left).

The link for this step is in any of the 6 LARGE waves to the right of the ship. If you have trouble clicking it, it is best to use one of the following methods: Clear any mail, battledome, or trade icons etc. from the top of your screen. Click on the page, just above the picture, hit your tab key very carefully and then hit enter. That method works for most including all but some firefox users. If he breaks it, of gives you something else, try returning to the astronomy club and repeat. This is an inventory item and should be kept in Gallery or Safety Deposit Box for Safe Keeping. For now, we've yet to discover what to do with it in the plot.

 The Gladiator
  Constellation (07)

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Altadorian Archives. See the Archivist.

He says the same thing as before, I know. Now return to the map of Altador and click the Colosseum in the tom middle of Altador.

Each of the archways in the 2 lower sections of the Colosseum is a link. Only one will take you to the Grarrl who says "Punch Club". All the rest lead to a blank archway. When you find the one with the Orange Grarrl, click the button to follow him. You'll be taken to the Punch Club.

Read this whole part before clicking ANYTHING: Once you get to the Punch Club, you'll have to click on the bowls of punch until the Golden Goblet (on front table) becomes clickable. After some confirming the day after, it turns out you need to click the punch in one of 27 possible patterns (table below). From the start, the page tracks which bowl you click, for 3 clicks. Then, it either gives you a clickable goblet, or on the next punch click, resets the tracking, with that click being your first of three punch clicks needed for your next attempt. You can see the URL change in the top address bar of your browser after each click (if not, stretch your window wider. If you can't get it wide enough, click inside the address bar. This should hi-light it and let you see the end of it.). Pay attention to the URL to help you keep track of which of the 3 clicks you're on. It will add &punch1=[bunch of numbers/letters here], &punch2=[bunch of numbers/letters here], &punch3=[bunch of numbers/letters here] to the end of the URL as you click. Wait for the page to reload completely after each click, or you'll end up having 2 clicks when you should have 3 etc. If you get kicked out of the Punch Club, click your way (use return to buttons) allllllllll the way back out to Altador and click the Collosseum again, and find your way back in (Yes you'll need to find the Grarrl again). When the goblet is clickable, write down which combination worked, then click the goblet. You'll see the goblet close up. Click its shield, and then you'll see the pattern for the Gladiator.

Your best bet is to stretch the window really wide so you can keep track of the URL in the upper address bar. It's easy to get off track otherwise. If there's a bunch of stuff making your address bar small. right click on the stuff next to it, and un-check them to make them go away for now.

Be sure you let the pages load before clicking again. If you don't have a status bar visible at the bottom of your browser, click on "View" on the menu, and click on "Status Bar".

Be sure you're clicking the correct goblet when you check (see image in guide).

Example: 111 means click the first punch 3 times in a row, then check the goblet. Another Example: 232 means click the second punch, then the third punch, then the second punch again, then check goblet.

111 112 113 121 122 123 131 132 133
211 212 213 221 222 223 231 232 233
311 312 313 321 322 323 331 332 333

DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP: Go back to the Archivist and he'll mention the pattern you've seen. Do NOT skip this step.

The most common problem with plotting this constellation is the submit button pops up on this one sooner than is needed. You need to ensure the constellation is connected all the way around, no gaps, before submitting.

In your new sky, look for 6 stars that match the dots in the field EXACTLY. Connect your dots as they appear in the field. See images below for scope scale. Hit submit. If it doesn't work, hit erase all and try again.

You're not done. Run back down stairs, click on the Gladiator Statue (Statue 5). Click the "VERY THIN" link that spans the top of the image of the statue. Go back in the Hall of Heroes, and talk to Odd-Job-Bob in the back corner. Head over to The Altadorian Archives and See the Archivist again. He'll tell you about the newly added pages to the book. Click on the Book of Ages and read the new pages (4). Head out to the Hallway in the Archives, and click on the Astronomy Club Announcement on the Bulletin Board.

 The Collector
  Constellation (08)

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Altadorian Archives. See the Archivist.

He says the same thing as before, I know. Now return to the map of Altador and click on any of the three shops in altador that aren't the petpet shop. The Altadorian Magic, Exquisite Ambrosia, or Illustrious Armoury shops.

Your going to have to try those shops until this works. For each shop that you go to, you have to match your Neo Points on hand to the Inflation rate that's posted in that shop, and reload the page. For EXAMPLE: if the inflation rate is 2.24% you need to have exactly 224 Neo Points on hand. This number will change for each shop. (You can dump money into your bank, or donate it to the money tree if it's just a few points. You can add money by either withdrawing from the bank, or your shop till.) When you have matched your points on hand, and reload the page, look for an item that costs exactly as much as your points on hand and click on it. You'll see the constellation pattern for the Collector.

      Remember:
  • For each shop, repeat ALL of these steps. Do just once per shop.
  • Go into non-petpet shop in Altador.
  • Check the inflation rate.
  • Set your neopoints to inflation rate.
  • Click on the shopkeeper (not reload).
  • Look for item at your neopoint amount (also check to see that the rate didn't change).
  • If the item is there, click it.
  • If item is not there, move to another shop and repeat ALL of above steps, including changing your neopoints to the new shop's inflation rate.

  Altadorian Magic: Scales

  Exquisite Ambrosia: Chocolate Coin

  Illustrious Armoury: Coin Purse

DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP: Go back to the Archivist and he'll mention the pattern you've seen. Do NOT skip this step.

Use the 2 tools listed in the bottom of the "See the Stars" section of the guide. Be sure to turn on and move the sliding guide around to help you spot it. Give the tools time to load. Head over to the Hall of Heroes like the Archivist told you, and run on up to the Observatory. Click on the top of the Tripod to place your telescope. In your new sky, look for 6 stars that match the dots in the field EXACTLY. Connect your dots as they appear in the field. See images below for scope scale. Hit submit. If it doesn't work, hit erase all and try again. If you are sure you know where it is, and it won't accept it. Re-load / Refresh the telescope page and see if it comes back up wit the image on it. Many people seem to be getting negative submits, only to find it worked when they reload.

You're not done. Run back down stairs, click on the Collector Statue (Statue 10).

 The Thief
  Constellation (09)

Go to the Map of Altador and click on the Altadorian Archives.

USE BUTTONS ON PAGES instead of your browser's back button.

Click on the Red (Lenny Conundrum) Lenny in the Archives hallway.

Visit the Archivist and click the small vase on the back left table. Then click the meepit on the middle table.

See the Red Lenny (Click on him) in the Archives hallway again.

Enter the Archives (Door handle on LEFT door in Archives hallway).

Check to see if the smallest door is clickable by hovering over it. Your rooms may be laid out differently. If it's clickable, click it. If not, pick a large door, and click on it to try another room. Then check the small door in there before moving on. If you have to move to more rooms, i suggest keep moving in the same direction till you find a small door that's clickable.

When you get into the closet through the small door. Hit the "Hide the box" button to hide the meepits.

Visit the Archivist and click the small vase on the back left table. Then click the meepit on the middle table. AGAIN

See the Red Lenny (Click on him) in the Archives hallway again. Hit the "Uh oh"? button. Then click on the dagger that appears inside the Meepit plushie. You will see your Thief Constellation pattern.

DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP: Go back to the Archivist and he'll mention the pattern you've seen. Do NOT skip this step.

In your new sky, look for 6 stars that match the dots in the field. Connect your dots as they appear in the field. See images below for scope scale and connection. Hit submit. If it doesn't work, hit erase all and try again. If you are sure you know where it is, and it won't accept it. Re-load / Refresh the telescope page and see if it comes back up wit the image on it. Many people seem to be getting negative submits, only to find it worked when they reload.

You're not done. Run back down stairs, click on the Thief Statue (Statue 3). You will be given The Astronomy Club LOL! It's an inventory item that's equippable as a battledome item. I recommend taking steps to safeguard, like equipping to pet or SD Box or Gallery.

 The Gatherer
  Constellation (10)

Go to the Map of Altador.

USE BUTTONS ON PAGES instead of your browser's back button.

Check one of these 3 Altador locations for the petpet Vaeolus: Perfectly Flat Rock Quarry; The Altadorian Docks; The Old Follies Farm. When you find it, click it. click the continue button.

Go to the Archives hallway and click the Alchemy Club announcement on the bulletin board (far right). Click on the potion. No, you don't need that many NP. Go to Altador map and click on the Collosseum. You'll need to get back into the Punch Club as described up in the Gladiator section. No, no combos needed. Find Grarrl, follow. Click on the pie in front of the Skieth, and click the button.

Go to the altador map and go to the Tomb. Click on the bar that bars the tomb door. Look for the little tag of bandage that sticks out of the mummified jelly on the bottom right corner (see below). If it's not there, refresh/reload till it is (try refreshing at the :59 second mark when it's close to that time). When it is there, click it. Click the button.

Return to the Archivist. DON'T CLICK ANYTHING till you've read all the way down to the picture.

    Before Treating the Vaeolus:

  • Use the neopets clock (side bar) only. This takes a minimum of 11 minutes.

  • Treatments need not be same second each time; just PAST start of the next minute, and only one treatment for that minute.

  • Despite hearing contrary, do not use refresh/reload. Use "Check in on the Vaeolus" link. It never fails.

  • Be prepared to record your minutes (prevents mistakes).

  • Concentrate on the task at hand. (don't restock, chat, etc.).

  • If the main part of the page drops down after a treatment, you messed up, and need to reset. Resetting is done by clicking the button below the Vaeolus and returning to the Archivist's office. (it has been reported that this no longer happens on errors.)

  • Treating the Vaeolus (YES, read all before doing):

  • A: At a few seconds past the minute, enter the Vaeolus page (click on Vaeolus in Archivist's Office) . Do not enter late in the minute or you'll likely miss the opportunity to treat for that minute.

  • B: Treat for the condition shown right then (Image guide below).

  • C: A few seconds past the next minute, click the "Check in on the Vaeolus" link, and then treat for the condition shown right then (even if condition repeated).

  • D: Repeat step C: (skipping no minutes) until a total of 10 treatments are administered.

  • E: A few seconds past the next minute, Click the "Check in on .." link and the skieth will appear.

  • Important Note: If no skieth shows (can't miss), or if the main part of the page drops down at any time during treatment (reported no longer happens), you made a mistake somewhere. Yes, you did! Reset by returning to the Archivist via the button, and repeat steps A - E. If you have a very slow connection that prevents these steps from working, see the tips at the very bottom of this constellation section.

    By the Numbers:

  1. Past top of minute, go in and treat Vaeolus.
  2. Wait until the next minute, then check and treat.
  3. Wait until the next minute, then check and treat.
  4. Wait until the next minute, then check and treat.
  5. Wait until the next minute, then check and treat.
  6. Wait until the next minute, then check and treat.
  7. Wait until the next minute, then check and treat.
  8. Wait until the next minute, then check and treat.
  9. Wait until the next minute, then check and treat.
  10. Wait until the next minute, then check and treat.
  11. Wait until the next minute, then check.

Treatment Guide:

  • Drooling   =   Feed

  • Holding up paw   =   Bandage

  • About to Barf (hand over mouth)   =   Medicine

  • Sleeping   =   Wait
  •   Once the Skieth from the Petpet Protection League pops up, click the Symbol on the top left of the certificate he is holding, and you'll get your Gatherer constellation clue.

DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP: Go back to the Archivist and he'll mention the pattern you've seen. Do NOT skip this step.

Run back down stairs, click on the Gatherer (Statue 8).

If you have a slow connection that prohibits treatment steps within one minute time spans, consider:

    • Trying off-peak internet and neopet hours.

    • Close all windows except Altador (and maybe a guide page :) ).

    • Turn of/disable applications that hog your computer's resources and internet bandwidth.

    • Check and treat as soon as the top of minute passes, or test late in the minute treatments without "checking in on .." (watch for page drops).

    • Consider using a friend's, relative's, cafe, library, or School computer (with permission of course).

     The Protector
      Constellation (11)

Go to the Map of Altador.

USE BUTTONS ON PAGES instead of your browser's back button. If a link doesn't present itself in an image when it should, refresh the page.

Go to the Quarry and click the link in the top of the path. Click the link in the bottom of the wall that is above the center of the large light green patch.

Once you're confronted by the spectral Minitheus, click on the necklace. It'll tell you you can't approach. Use the button to return to the altador map and go to the Farm. Use the button to return to the altador map and go to the Water Plant. The water plant is linked in the upper left water tower in the Main Altador wall.

Click on the doorway to enter the plant. If it says you can't yet, reload the page. OR, go back to the farm, and try puling the lever inside the windmill. Once inside, you see a lever and two valve wheels, and a door on either side. You need to click levers and valves in the three rooms inside the plant as fast as your computer and internet connection will let you. Just go crazy, as fast as you can. It's all about speed. You'll be automatically taken to front office when it's happy. If you find yourself not taken to the front office after about ten minutes, reset the plant by turning al valves to the + position, and setting all levers to the up position (this is the only combination that does anything in the plant). The rest is truly a matter of ANYTHING as fast as you can.

Use the buttons to go back to the map of Altador. Then go back to the necklace and click it and click it again after passing to get the clue to the Protector Constellation.

DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP: Go back to the Archivist and he'll mention the pattern you've seen. Do NOT skip this step.

Note: Connect the center star to each of the 4 outer stars separately. Add the 6th outlier star using Add Star.

In your new sky, look for 6 stars that match the dots in the field. Connect your dots as they appear in the field (bottom).

Run back down stairs, click on the Protector (Statue 1). Click the "VERY THIN" link that spans the top of the image of the statue (You'll see all the gems are off this time). Go back in the Hall of Heroes, and talk to Odd-Job-Bob in the back corner. Head over to The Altadorian Archives and See the Archivist again. He'll tell you about the newly added pages to the book. Click on the Book of Ages and read the new pages (4). Head out to the Hallway in the Archives, and click on the Astronomy Club Announcement on the Bulletin Board (be sure to unmask the president). This time see the Farmer too. That's it for now. Stay tuned. (We can enter the Library in the archives again, AND we can place the Necklace on all 12 statues. All, so-far, to no effect. Will update when something's found.)

     The Hunter
      Constellation (12)

Go to the Map of Altador.

USE BUTTONS ON PAGES instead of your browser's back button. If a link doesn't present itself in an image when it should, refresh the page. (This will happen a lot here)

Go to the Hall of Heroes and head up to the observatory. Click the button to look at the floor. Click one of the 3 spots you can see on the right side of the lower floor to reveal a portion of the hunter constellation.

Go to the Archivist's office. Look at your clue list linked there. USE THE BUTTON to return to the Archivist. Go to the quarry and buy the rock. (Click rock, click button).

Return to the Hall of Heroes and visit the Janitor. Hit the button to go into the basement. You will need to jam your rock into each gear (10) by clicking on them. Remove your rock from a gear by clicking the gear again. You MUST take your rock with you.

Go to the Archivists. Go back to the quarry, refresh the page, and click the clickable spot that is laying in the path, against the cliff, above and to the right of the right (green) Jubjub. Click the rock in the top of the pile in the lower right corner. Click the first spot again to retrieve your rock you just threw there. Visit the Herbology Club (Announcement 1 (left) on bulletin board in main Archives hall.) and learn to juggle. Go back to the quarry once more, refresh the page, and juggle for the Jubjubs (Click Jubjubs). They will give you your third rock.

Go back to the Janitor in the Hall of Heroes and proceed to the basement. Read all of the following before beginning:

Your goal is to jam the appropriate 3 gears that will result in the Right side door, of the newly closed floor in the Observatory, to be as wide open as possible. The 3 dots on the right side door in the floor will, when properly positioned, complete the Hunter constellation clue link (and become clickable).

There are too many combinations to try them all with any certainty before you break the gears and they get reset. A reset changes all the effects of each gear's jamming, so continuing combos then is worthless. The best approach is to use one rock, to find a gear that opens the right side of the floor a fair chunk (pushing button (in the picture) next to Janitor and checking Observatory floor each time), and then add another rock, to find a second gear that opens it even more, and finally adding the third rock to find the one that'll open it to where the constellation pattern is clickable (DON'T FORGET to check to see if it's clickable). This may take several resets, but is much more certain to produce results in a reasonable amount of time.

After putting a rock in one of the gears, push the button IN the image of the janitor. Concentrate on using 1 rock to find which 3 gears move the right-side door 4,5, & 6 notches. You have to figure it out before 9 tries. Use deductive reasoning where you have to. Example: if 8 tries reveal only one gear that moves it enough, then the 2 you haven't tried have to be the other 2 you need. When you know which 3 it is, put a rock in each one and hit the button IN the janitor image, then click the small spots on the floor to reveal the clue.

In summary: Put a rock in the gears, return to Janitor, push the button IN the image of the Janitor, check the floor progress, check to see if spots are clickable if right is open much, return to Hall, return to Janitor, return to basement, try again. Once it's clickable and you get the constellation clue, return to the archivist and head back up to the observatory to plot your constellation.

In your new sky, look for 6 stars that match the dots in the field. Connect your dots as they appear in the field (bottom).

Do not skip over the following paragraph.. There's a new twist!

You're not done. Run back down stairs, click on the Hunter (Statue 12 top). Click on the Book of Ages and read the new pages (6). This time, on the last page, click the fire in the Sleeper's hands. Click the button. Head out to the Hallway in the Archives, and click on the Astronomy Club Announcement on the Bulletin Board.

     Obtain
      Spellbook

For this step you need to know the exact coordinates for all 6 stars that make up your Sleeper constellation (Const. 1 "Eyes"). You can get them by hovering over them with your mouse while looking in the telescope. other ways are fine except for raw stardata from the get stardata page. Those number strings have many duplicate coordinates and will throw your math off. Ooops , I said math already!

Your spell book is located in one of 10,000 rooms with in the library of the Archives. So, um, yeah, Math. You can paste your stardata in the StarGate mapper to get the coordinates of this room (both the clickable link to the stardata, and the non-clickable URL for the StarGate mapper are found in the bottom of the "See the Stars" section of this guide (skip to paragraph below the table if you get your coordinates from the mapper)), or do the following:

Pay attention to the details, and you'll be fine and get the right room on the first shot. Get help if you aren't familiar with adding positive & negative numbers. (yes i know there are infinite rooms in the library, but only 10,000 contain clickable books. LOL only!)

Once you've carefully recorded your Sleeper constellation coordinates, add all the X values together, like solving a real math problem, paying heed to positive and negative numbers as should be. Do the same for all the Y values. (X value is on left, Y value on right). Now that they're added properly. Starting with the X value, now ignoring negatives, if it is higher than 99, add it's digits together. For example: If your new X value is -1425 you would now get 12. 1+4+2+5=12. If your new X value is now, or was already, less than or equal to 99, check to see if it's divisible by 3, OR = 0 (see chart below). Do NOT divide it though. This just helps you see if you're messing up. Repeat the same for your Y value. There is an example problem below.

Double check your work at this point. It will save much frustration.

Now that you have your coordinates for the correct room in the Archive library that holds your Spellbook, Head on over to the Archives, that is if you have clicked the fire in the image on the last page of the Book of Ages. If you don't remember doing that, or if your books in the library aren't clickable, do it again. Click the door handle of the left door to enter the library. Click the large top door. This will show you the part of the URL that you need to keep track of. On your browser's address bar, you will see a similar URL to the one below. pay attention to the &arcx=0&arcy=1. If you clicked the up door, yours will be x=0 y=1 too. because you went up one on the y axis. Increasing X = moving Right. Increasing Y = moving Up.       Once you're in the correct room, you're up to 31 books away from finding your Spellbook. Once you find it you will know where it is for good. The book shelves in the room contain 31 clickable books (tiny) in total (See images below). Tabbing is the best way, but you can try to hover too. When you get it, you'll know it. It is ring bound, with three rings, and has a spell fill-in form and a cast spell button under it.

Once you find it, you can try any of the 52,143 possible spells. Continue to the next section. Record the location of your spellbook.

     Betrayer
      Statue

Go to your spell book in the library within the Archives. It will be right where you left it.

      Enter the spell #: 29884

      It will say nothing happens.

Go to the Hall of Heroes, and click statue 6, the Sleeper (bottom). Her statue now has orange fire coming from her hands. Click the neck line of her statue to place the pendant around her neck. From here on out, click the buttons to follow the ending story.

Go to the Archivist's Office, Read the newly added Epilogue in the book of ages (end). All the gems in the Hall are lit up again. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Trophies, and Side-bar are available. However, the plot is still doable. For prizes (if/when finished) go to: http://www.neopets.com/altador/council.phtml Click on King Altador. We all got the same Prizes/Trophy/Sidebar. If you return again to the council chamber the day after getting your prizes, or later, you can get a Lenny Finneus Avatar and another small token of appreciation from King Altador. You can return daily to get another small gift. Prizes will be available for folks finishing after this point (for now).

If you would like to re-read the ending story, you can click the new doorway on the right side of the Hall of Heroes.
