A pirates life for me

If you ever run into someone who knows of the Jules family, chances are they can tell you something like this:
The Jules family, is a vast family of Lennies.
They live among higher society and are very respected and important.

And that's about it, no one knows much else about them.
Sure you'll have other rich people trying to prove they know the family, that they're family friends. But they don't know anything, nobody does. Only that they have a lot of money, and rank above many people in the terms of monoply.

What's even much more mind boggling, is that these people are not hermits. They go to many social events: Operas, parties for the wealthy, charities. Yet still, they remain so mysterious to all. Sure one can look at them and note several facts. But all of these will not tell you a thing about their family life. This wealthy family literally came out of nowhere. To this day no one is positive how they aquired all thier Wealth.

Truth be told the majority of their money was stolen. Because the Jules family, back in thier day was known by the name of Graham.
The Grahams are the exact oppisite of the Jules' facade. They're a band of pirate that sale around in a fleet of ships. Each member of the group being a family member of sorts. These rough neck pirates are literally born and raised on the seas of Neopia.
Arlente was just the same.
He grew up on his father's ship, known as the White Weewoo. For unlike most ships it was white and the rare weewoo seemed to stalk after it. It could be heard a distance away from all the erie cries of the birds. In which it was usually too late, for the rest of the fleet would have you cornered. Arlen lived with his parents one of his Aunts, and his Grandmother. As well as several uncles and cousins. This band of lennies surely could show people just how furious a bird could be. They often took no mercy on anyone that wasn't of their own kin. also well known for attacking anyone who displeased them, or wronged any of their family members.
And despite all of this hard living and rough family memebers. Arlen was quite pleased with his living. Nothing much was expected of him and he adored living out on the seas. This was were he lived until he was twelve years. Right before the accident that scarred him and his parents.
His mother was expecting right around that time, when her eldest fell over board from the ship. He came close to drowning that day if it was not for his eldest cousin noticing. Young Arlen stay bed ridden with a fever for weeks it seemed afterwards. Fear started rising in him about the water and the waves. He didn't want to leave his room, and would confined himself in it and just read books.

after much thought his Mother, Annabell decided best for them to move on. For she did not want something similar to happen to her newest child as well. It seeking in to both her and Thomas how dangerous this was for their children.
And with all the money they aquired it seemed only right they lived it to their fullest. Thus Arlen became a nobleman, living in Neovia. He was trained to walk and talk like one with his parents.
Once his sister was born it was never mentioned of their past lives. Arlen still however remained sick, and stand offish to people. The deary weather of Neovian constantly keeping Arlen ill. This kept him inside his home even more. Making him Socialy awkward to others outside his family.
It wasn't until recently the family decided to move him someplace with moderate weather...
Such as Meridell.

Duchess the Weewoo

Duchess was given to Arlente has a present from his parents. He was unsocial, this worried them. He would not talk to people, except themselves. A companion was needed, hopefully to coax him out and get him more confident.

Duchess' egg was purchased in a unknown area. A breeder of the rare White weewoo, also into shadey buisness when it came to petpets. He had several rare and expensive varities. Though Thomas and Annabell thought the mascot of The Neopian Times would be a perfect present.

They asked for the white weewoo, but wasn't allowed to get it, For the owner only had two and had severl eggs to tend for. So being a pirate in retirement, Thomas threatened and stole. Nabbing a egg and bringing it home. The owner of the petpets could not say anything. For it was obvious the law wasn't on his side. The egg was presented to Arlen.
It was a joyous project- tending to the egg.
When she hatched,
He couldn't have been happier.

Duchess now never leaves his side. She loves to 'read' books with him. And dance...She find her self quite adorable and loves to shake her feathers for the frequent 'Awwww'.

Flat mates

Jirince Branningan: Though the youngest of the household, Jiro is the owner. He was the one who built the home and moniters everything. Such as bills and were all the money is going. Most of the time, he's not home. Off on some endless adventure claiming to be looking for something. all and all, Jiro is a nice guy. But not someone Arlen can tolerate well. For he's a little too happy for anyone normal.

Chivalries Hunter: Chiv is the hired help, he tends to the gardens and doubles as a handy-man. This means he doesn't really have to pay much rent for living with the others. Arlen doesn't know much of him, for the man remains ever silent. Only keeping to himself and his work outside. Which is fine and all seeing as Arlen isn't too thrilled at making friends with these people.

Iteric DuBois: Iteric arrived one day his Daughter along side of him. He serves as the cook. Which is actually quite handy for niether Arlen or Jiro can cook. And All if Chiv's food looks questionable. Mainly Iteric is a smart mouth, and isn't too pleasent to hold a conversation with as he's always pesimistic. At times Arlen manages a nice chat with him, but for the most part he enjoys spending more time with the man's daughter then him.

Love

Meagenali is Arlen's whole purpose for life. He met the small kougra shortly after he moved in Meridell. It was a deary rainy day, Much the kind you'd see back at his old home. It seemed like perfect reading weather, he remembers clearly choosing a horror story to read. Though with a quick glance out the window saw a girl stumbling about in that nasty rain. She appared confused, and lost. It was then it came to mind about what his roomies had spoke of when they visited the neighbors.. One of them was blind. He sat their silently. He wanted to help, but people... he was awkward around them. Not only that but he had a nasty problem with thieving anything shiney.

She stumbled in the mud and looking like she was crying..
And up he stood, fetching an umbremlla off to get her. They spent the rest of the day in her home chatting over tea about books. The discussions ending with him agreeing to read her his collections of books. This way she too could have her stories back. It was only inevitable that he should fall head over heels for her. She was the only person let alone female he could talk to. He didn't feel pressured around her, or odd. He just felt completed.

Arlen and Meagen are now happily engaged. Waiting for the perfect moment to marry and live happily ever after. Just like in the stories they both read so much as children.

A True Story

This is a random tale of how I actually got Arlente the Pirate Lenny
It's funny and amusing so I decided I should tell it to all whom decide to come to his page.

My friend Misty had just started neopets after years of being gone. I at the time had a eyrie named Copell, I had just painted him brown when I decided I didn't like him as a eyrie. So I morphed him to a Lenny. I wanted badly for him to be a pirate Lenny. But was going to settle for spotted, white, or shadow. However I kept spending my np saving for him on friends and petpets. One day Misty was over at my house when she told me of the FFQ. She was disapointed for she couldn't get a royal pet from it. She then told me I could use it. She has dial up and would never make the 200k for the 'usul beatnik outfit' the faerie wanted.

Luckily for me I only had to make a little bit more np and I had the outfit.

Then came to giving her Copell. But he was at level 5 due to Coltzan. She couldn't get him cause she was only 2 months old. So she gave me her Ogrin Arlente, I saved more bought another split Lenny potion and moved him there. He was soon painted and I had him! Kind of...I couldn't trade him out ;~;.

This never came across my mind even once.
Yes you're free to call me dimwitted
But she had transfered pets out before. and I had given him to her when he was split.
So I had to wait two months just to get this guy.

Oh and what ever happened to Copell? Copell lives with Misty...as a spotted eyrie.. Ah the irony of a good story. X3
