Welcome

Hello Ms. Adoptalot~! My name is Kendra, and you have wandered into my little application for Aeroreal. I hope I am able to convince you that I am the right owner for Aeroreal.
To start things off, this layout will look good on any browser, and on any screen size. Isn't that helpful? Also, I'll be calling Aeroreal 'Oreo,' her nickname amongst my other pets.

About Myself

Hmm. I don't really like to talk much about myself in an application for a pet, it is about the pet, right? But anyway, I should start. As I have said earlier, my name is Kendra. I am a sixteen years old, and my country of choice to live in is Canada, but I truly live on the computer. It's rare to seem me not on it. Most of the time, I'm either on Neopets or Neopets related websites, or cruising Livejournal. On both sites I practice using HTML, CSS, creating graphics. On Neo I roleplay with Vicats (Appologies), surf petpages, or earn neopoints for another Draik (probably light years away). On Livejournal I ramble and rant about my teenage life (often times, not full of angst), and surf communities. Right before Neo created the new layout, I had made nice simple pet lookups and a userlookup for myself. But now that the new layout uses completely different coding that the last, my lookups look pretty strange. Eh, that's ok. I'll fix them eventually, once I learn how the new HTML runs. I was able to code Appologies main lookup, and that took my a while. And so, on to my account history.
Accounts:
Kenerd: My main account. The account I do most of my playing in... Well, all of my playing in (save for making pets happy on the other accounts. XD)
Seishuku__: A former main account, now side account. Holds my original four pets.
Mizerableh_: A secondary account. Just for holding pets, but still active.
Krakatoa__: A third secondary account. Another for holding pets, but I visit it often so they don't have the sad faces of neglect. This will probably be the account Oreo lives on.
_Dragon_Fire_13_: I made this account after the freezing of my first accounts (Due to inactivity). I collected avatars on this account, but I got bored of neopets. I left for another pet site. That site died (and Vicats was poking and pestering me), so I came back to Neo, and created my current account.

Aeroreal is going to be part of Vicats' High Hopes Plot. It's the story of the tenants in the old, falling apart apartment building. The members of the story include me, Vicats, Angel_Sacru, and Idiocon (who's been frozen, but we're sure will be unfrozen soon). She will live in the same room as Meikaze and Jeulious (both are Vicats' characters), though since the wall was knocked down by a wii controller, she'll also be living with Kyern, Gallium, Europium, and Hafium. There is also Bohrium. He lives off of Mei's electricity, but he can only live for twenty-two seconds before dying. All but Kyern and Europium are not my pets, so if you want more information on them, just ask, and I can lead you to the right person. :)
Anyway, more on Oreo. She is defiantly the life of anything. Her hair will bring life to anything with out her even saying a word. She's only seventeen, but is already an apprentice for a cook at a local restaurant. She goes to the same school that Kye teaches, and Jeul and Klieru go, but she only goes there for the social aspect. She's failing all of her courses, except English, only because Kye bugs her to death to do it.
Since Areoreal is a long name, her nickname has become Oreo, like the cookie. Originally it was Areo, but when Vicats and I talked about her and Klieru, his nick name and hers where too close together, and began to sound the same (We said Areo like the chocolate bar, so Eru and Areo were close). Thus, it changed to Oreo because it was cute, ironic, and I liked it. Oreo is only called Oreo by those in High Hopes.

I really don't like complex designs for my pets. She'll probably be the most complex because she is rainbow. Her body is mainly white, but she has lepord like spots on the top of her back. Inside these spots is a different color. She has grey wings and a grey beak, not everything can be white. Her 'ears' and the fur tuff are rainbow, and long with the tuff of fur at the end of her tail. Her tail is ringed, like the ringed-tail lemur, but instead of white between the stripes, it's a different color of the rainbow. For her anthro, her hair is rainbow, like her 'ears' and fur tuffs. On the right side it is short and spiky, similar to a pixie cut, but on the right side her hair is long (about mid back) and flowing. Both sides have full rainbows, just the right side will be shorter.

Adoptables
I decided to make an adoptable set for people who come to Oreo's page. This means I can trade for adoptables, as well as give them out and have them link to her! Right now there aren't any codes, because they would link to her, but if I get her, they'll be free to take!

Story
My whole story started when I was very small, right smack dab in the middle of my first year of school at St. Asparagusta. Saint A was an all-girls, private Neoschool snugly tucked on a road that looked like a romantic garden lane, despite its center-city location. My family was well off, and as an only child I only got the best; unfortunately, I also had high standards to follow. My mother had been a grade-representative every year while in the lower school, ending as head-girl in her twelfth year, and it seemed that everyone remembered her; whenever I made a mistake, whenever my shoes were scuffed, whenever my shirt was un-tucked, I was regaled with the greats of my mother. I looked quite like her, too, my white fur spotted with black and grey rosettes, my eyes the same bright pink that was a well-known family trait. Unlike my mother though, I was rebellious. I wanted to be unique. Of course, being a private school we had school uniforms; a white shirt, and a navy blue, white and grey plaid skirt; a skort for the juniors and a kilt for the seniors, which I found suffocating. Being white, I was the blandest little girl out there, and it made me miserable. I was a troublemaker, so no one wanted to be my friend, and I spent a lot of time on my own, especially at recess.
As I said before, my story really starts mid-year; it was March, and the snow had turned to ruddy, grey-brown slush, sleet falling through most of the week as the world defrosted. I hate early spring, being all white and grey and miserable, so I was especially sullen while exploring the park-like grounds of the school, when I came across something of interest. It was a saucepan, a pot, made of brightly painted earthenware, sitting half-buried in snow, beckoning me. I knew from the many recitations of the rules in detention that all hats were banned, however a pot was not a hat, whether you wore it on your head or not. Grabbing it and cleaning it with the corner of my skort, I soon plopped in happily on top of my head, marching in proudly as the bell rang.
Needless to say, my teachers were unimpressed. They berated me quite angrily, but I had my excuse at the ready; there was no policy against wearing saucepans on your head. They could not do a thing about it, I said, my entire five-year-old psyche swollen with the utmost pride. And then they called in the principal. He was a big, mean looking Skeith who kept candies on his desk that no one was allowed to have, and when he glared down at me I could feel my wings tremble.
."Little Aeroreal, I see that I have been called in on a matter of your behaviour yet again." He said, looming over me. "It is quite disappointing. Quite disappointing indeed that the child of one of the pillars of our own community has failed in so many ways. You know, she is the only reason we have yet to expel you, your wonderful mother. If you do not remove that nonsensical piece of kitchenware from your head I will have to change that."
I stared up at him, my beak clenched, my brow furrowed.
."Do not try me, Aeroreal. I will call in your parents if I must." He continued in his pompous way, his big hands flexing. "And then you will be expelled and have your parents very cross with you over such a silly reason."
."If it's a silly reason" I stated proudly, puffing out my chest "Then why are you bugging me about it? It's not hurting anyone!"
."Young lady, I will call your parents this very instant."

He did, too. And they came and all stood around me, glaring, not saying a word, until my mother stepped forwards to me "Aero, sweetheart, please take that bucket off your head" She pleaded, giving me a look that made me know I was in trouble. "You can stay here if you do, I promise, no punishment will be made." The principal grunted dissent at that, but I knew well enough that she wasn't telling the truth.
."I like it, mom. I want to wear it" I said, crossing my arms. "And I don't want to stay here either. So it's okay."
."Aero, look at me." My father said behind me, in his firm voice breaking through me thoughts. I turned to look at him and then... Oof! I was on the floor, my headgear removed by my mother. But she didn't look happy. In fact, she looked plain-out horrified.
."Wh-What happened to her HAIR?!" She shrieked, stepping backwards, her magenta eyes wide.
."Whatever happened, she can't come back until it's gone." The principal mumbled gruffly, stomping towards the door. "I'm sorry, Elystia. We'll still have coffee this Saturday, I hope?"

For the first few days my parents tried to wash it out; I had four baths a day, all with my mothers finest cosmetic level shampoos and conditioners. When that didn't work, they moved on to hair dyes and bleaches... when even that failed, stain remover all was poured onto my rainbow locks. But none of it helped. In fact, it got worse! My ear tips went first, showing a touch of pink on their tips one morning, which spread so much by the next day that I had either ear entirely covered in rainbow. From there it seeped down my mane, which took a whole year and a half to colour completely, all while my parents ran to doctors and cosmetologists, all of whom were stumped. By the time my spots and tail rings started filling in they were resigned to their fate... or perhaps it was mine that they resigned to. The tip of my tail had reached its final ring on my sixteenth birthday, and after almost eleven years of doctor visits and private tutors, troublesome pranks and a few minor problems with the law, my parent came to me and told me to get out. I could have money for food and a home, but they would not keep my rebellious self in their home, ruining their public facade and troubling their friends. That part of my life was over.

Why Me?

I really don't like this part of the application. It makes me sound so arrogant. Also, it makes me get an ego... and we all know that that's going to crash and burn in the next section. However, this section is pretty important in decision making. So why should you let me have Oreo? I mean, beyond a petpage app, what can I offer her that makes me a good long term owner? Well...
First would be that I'm pretty dedicated with Neo. I've been on the site seven years, and though I've come and gone back in the early days, I'm now quite content here. I have nice pets, a good account, and a real-life friend who I can now keep in contact with once she moves away next year.
Second would be that I'm what most people would view as a pretty decent owner. While I'm by no means rich I'm hard working, and I earn my pets. I also give my pets designs, I roleplay with them, and I draw them. This means that I bond to them; they're no-longer disposable pixels, but characters that I love.
Coding is practically my life, and I love to make layouts. Lookups are really hard, now, but give me a blank petpage and I can deck it out in all manner of awesome. Graphic design is a passion of mine, which I happily employ on my pets.
Oreo is involved in something big already! Yes, Vicats, that real-life friend of mine, has an "apartment building" where a number of her characters live, as well as most of mine. We have a huge complex plot and we talk about it while we walk home from school. -Geeks- While it's not all posted, we're always working on it. Oreo has three roommates, Jeulious, Meikaze, and an uncreated pet (she is all in the plot, but she has no 'physical' Neopets form), as well as a whole menagery of buildingmates and friends.

Why Not Me

I can see my ego now. . . it's on the CN tower. And look! Look! What a beautiful swan dive! Oh. . . Wait. . . D:!
Yes, that's right. It's the why not me. Depressing but necessary. After all, the first step is admitting you have a problem. . . Ahem. Well, the first and foremost issue for me on Neopets would be my procrastination. I don't. . . really do anything in a timely manner. It's partly 'cause I'm lazy and mostly because I procrastinate. I sit on stuff a lot and don't move quickly with my work. This problem also leads to my next con; I'm poor. :c I can only afford to paint my pets with less-than-stellar colours. Most of my designs suit that, but it's still bad. Esyen was earned mostly by a friend of mine, and I applied for Izil. . . another issue! I have a lot of pets. Kyern, Esyen, and Izil are my main-account pets, Kalinqu, Kyatha, and Sensirr are on Seishuku__, Europium and Jaiemz on mizerableh_, and Voyde and Scramblar are on Krakatoa_. Ten pets in all. And I need to make them all lookups. And work on their petpages. Which I procrastinate on. . . ♪which brings us back to DOH♪. . . wait. . . I mean, the first issue.

FIN

Okay, this is the end. It's over; a number of emotions must be overwhelming you. Joy... Sadness... Exhaustion... Hunger. But it's over! Yay! I had a lot of fun writing and coding this for you, and I do hope that you had at least a liiiiittle bit of fun reading it. I hope that you find an amazing home for Oreo... and thanks for reading!
