You make your way down to Baker Street, light in your head and dead on your feet...
Family | Friends | Love | Likes and Dislikes | Adopted Adoptables | Farewell
That's right! :3 I've got my own set of adoptables here just for you.
I'm afriad I'm not a good sculptor, and, while I can sew, my bakery takes up almost all my free time. So, instead, here are some bread loaf adoptables!
They really are quite cute if you look at them properly, you know.
One day I hope to have all of the Neopian colors here, once I figure out the correct recipes. It's a bit time-consuming, but feel free to check back every once in awhile- you never know when I might have some new ones in. :3

.:|RULES
Rules are simple, dears. Link back to this page, and leave the little "Sappire" signature on them, please. Don't try to edit them yourself- I'm not sure all the ingredients are stable enough to be altered in their current form. If you'd like a custom, neomail Sappire, provided customs are open, and request one. She'll get the message to me.
I quite enjoy challenges, you know. :3
Don't claim as your own, please. Sappire and I put hard work into these, and it wouldn't be very polite to take our credit away, would it?
But otherwise, dears, enjoy. And try not to eat them. ;3

.:|TOAST

Oh, my. It looks as though I've expanded to toast, as well. Not only do I bake the bread, but I now cut it and put it in a toaster. x3
Enjoy, dears.

Welcome to my petpage.
Marinne, here. Or Aqua, for my closer friends. For the most part, I go by Marinne and-
Oh!
Silly me, I will get carried away if I'm not careful. x3
But I am the Kougress on your right. And I'm a baker, bakeress, whatever you'd like to call me.
And I suppose I should tell a little about myself, shouldn't I? I'm not really one to talk a lot, you know, so this is a bit awkward for me.
I've been married twice in my life- once to a passer-by who's eye I caught in my gypsy days, and once to a king. Sadly, the latter is no longer living. I left the castle and, well... as a settlement of sorts, I was given my bakery. I treasure every inch of it, and I enjoy my work.
I have two children- a son and daughter. I love them both dearly.
I am actually the sole employee here at my little shop.
I'm quite good at sewing, as well.
My birthday is November thirteenth, and I'm turning forty-nine this year. I'll hit the big five-zero next year. :3
My favorite color is brown- a rich, reddish brown, really.
I love the smell of fresh bread and baked goods.
My tail, hands and feet are made entirely of water. As such, my boots go up to my knees and are plastic-lined, my oven mitts- notice them in that picture over there?- go to my elbows, also lined with plastic, and I make a point to keep my tail from dripping on the food.
I love water, too. To drink and to swim in. I used to be quite the swimmer in my younger years.
I had to raise my youngest daughter virtually by myself.
I quite like the Beatles. :3
I used to be a gypsy most of my young life until I was married the first time, almost against my will, and then I became one again just before I met my second husband. I've since settled down a good deal.
It's funny, but the street my bakery is on is called "Baker Street." I also live upstairs. :3
You pronounce my name mah-rinh, not mah-reen.
But I'm running out of things to say, dear. So let's move on, shall we? ^^

.:|FAMILY

Oh, yes, I do have a bit of a family. :3
My father and mother... well, they're a mess unto themselves. I'll keep this place tidy and just mention the currently living relatives, shall I? :3

Vvelveteen. Ah, my little baby. I adore her so much, and she reminds me a bit of myself at such a young age. Though she has a mean streak in her that I don't like at all, and I try my best to keep her in line whenever I can because of it. She was adorable as a child- sweet, a tad headstrong and rebellious when she got up around eight or so, but the fates were against her from the start, and... well, I suppose a lot of her personality now is the result of things beyond my control. Still, I've learned to love her as my daughter.
Trim. The link goes to his half-sister, as I hear they sort of... share petpages or something of the like. I don't really know, the two of them confuse me. At any rate, Trim is Vvelveteen's half-brother, his father coming from my first marriage. He's quite a sweetheart, not all there in the head sometimes, and he doesn't think things through very well, but he's got a heart of gold. I adore him to bits for all his bumbling ways, and I'm so proud of how he's grown. Sadly, I wasn't there to raise him myself, and I can't take any credit for his present-day self.

.:|FRIENDS

Friends? I suppose I've picked a few up here and there. Mostly, though, I stick to my bakery, so my list isn't very long.

Buddings. Oh, I adore this little dear to bits. :3 Sweetest thing you ever did see. She has a house somewhere around my bakery, and takes up residence there every weekend. The rest of her time is spent at Meridell castle- she's in training to become a knight- and masquerading as a man to accomplish this. It's quite a story, probably best heard from her end. She's also Trim's half-sister, related to him by way of their father. Sometimes I wish I might've been her mother, as well. She's a bit headstrong and stubborn, loud at times, but I do admire the dear, and I wish her all the luck in the world.
Sanjo. Again, linked to Buddings, seeing as they share a page. Really, these young things running around and organizing all this is amazing to me. I barely keep my little page straight. x3 But Sanjo is Buddings' daughter, making her Trim's niece. I've always looked at the little sweetheart as my own granddaughter, even though we have no relation, and she loves stopping by my bakery on her way to and from school. I always give her a little fresh bread to take home, too.
Chiians. Chiians and I are around the same age. I'm just a tad older, but we get along very well. He'll stop by from time-to-time, tell me about Buddings, and just talk about little nothings here and there. Oh, I don't think I mentioned he's Buddings' adoptive father? Yes, he is. That's a long story in itself, and I don't think I'm the person to tell it, but I admire a man who can raise children like he was able to. Sometimes we kid with each other, too, and claim to be an item in jest. It's quite cute. :3
Wolfendia. Chiians' sister. Oh, Wolfendia. She and I go a long way back. She was around for my second marriage and, while I've managed to settle down a bit since then, I think she's only gotten more hyper. She's a dear, though, and I always remember how much alike we used to be. Quite the troublemakers, too.

.:|LOVE

Ah, love. It does seem to have it's ups and downs, doesn't it?
When I first married, I though I had found love, and he left me for a pretty young Lupe and took Trim with him.
The second time around, it was with a young man named Cithaeron. I gave him the name "City" way back when, I loved him dearly. I think he probably loved me, as well, even though I was a gypsy and he was a king. When we were married, I remember being so happy, but I was still young enough to get myself into trouble. I vanished for a time and brought back Vvelveteen nearly a year later from who-knows-where, and announced she was my daughter, though I never told him who the father was. It was a mess. I tried to raise Vvelveteen the best I could until I was turned out of the castle and my daughter, then just turning eight, was taken from me. I begged the servants to let me keep her, as the only child I'd had a chance to raise, but before I could convince them of anything, she had vanished. Shortly afterwards, the king was found dead, and I was forced to mourn him on my own. I still miss him, and I feel horrible for what I'd done to him, but I have no way of going back and fixing it, or I would somehow.
At present, though? Really, dear, take a good look at me. I'm nearing fifty. I'm not exactly young anymore, and I have a bakery to run. I highly doubt I'm a sought-after bride with all the young men running around. I can't say, besides Chiians, I've seen much anyone my age.
So, no. I don't believe love is quite in my future.

.:|LIKES AND DISLIKES

(-Insert 'likes' picture heeeeere. xD)
What do I like? I like children. I really love the little children who run through my shop during the weekends when school's out. I love seeing families together. I love to bake things, as well, and I love my job here as a baker. I enjoy the smell of fresh bread- didn't I already say that?- and the way the bread ovens here warm up the entire place. I like warmth, and summer is my favorite season. I love my own children, though they're all adults now. I also like the sunshine, and tall, high towers. I enjoy swimming, though not as much as I used to. It seems to get harder the older I get to do a proper backstroke. I also like the feel of warm bricks and... fishes. I really adore fishes. I hope to get myself one for the bakery some day. :3
(-Insert 'dislikes' picture heeeeere. xD)
What don't I like? Hm. I suppose I don't like violence, and I don't like a lot of loud noise. Playful children is one thing, but one screaming at the top of their lungs makes me cringe. I don't like how manipulative Vvelveteen's become, and her tendancy towards violence. I don't like pirates. I'm not a winter person- I love making gingerbread men and houses, but, thank you, I'd really like a Christmas without the snow and cold. I don't like seeing young people make some of the mistakes I've made. I want to shake them and tell them to think twice about everything. I don't like little scurrying things. I'll tolerate bunnies, but much else will usually be turned out of my shop as soon as possible.

.:|ADOPTED ADOPTABLES

Oh, my, really? Thank you, all of you, that's so sweet!

(I've always been fond of this one. ^^ Thank you kindly.)

(Oh, my, it's beautiful. Too bad I don't look that young now. x3)

.:|FAREWELL

Oh, time to leave already?
Well, I suppose it is. I hope you enjoyed your stay. :3
Sappire would like me to mention that the layout picture, here, belongs to her, as do I.
Really, that's awkward to say. x3
But stealing the pictures or content on this page is a reportable offence.
Though credit goes to all adoptable makers for their contributions. :3
Have a lovely day, dears. And why not take some bread on your way out?
