Welcome, guest, to Vorpal's Guild Website! This is where we store all of our Mooti--I mean.. erm... links. Yeah, that's right; links. All of the links & information on this website are for Vorpal, and Vorpal only. Would you like to learn more? Alright, well, I suggest you sit back, and relax on that rock over there while I make some fresh lemonade for you. What? That Mootix? Oh, pay no attention to him. He's just there for decor--I mean... he's harmless, really! *wink*

about us

Vorpal is a Neo-Related, literate guild led by the oh-so creative Suhrenuh and the oh-so talented Petunia. My name is Suhrenuh, but you can call me Suh. Petu, Alice, and Kat are over there, giving our newbies a tour of the guild. Yes, Vorpal is a guild, not a petpetpet farm -- what would have given you that idea? *laughs* Well, anyway, Vorpal is new, so we have our members and friends who have been here from the beginning, & mean so much to us. Vorpal was created August 3rd, 2011, and we've been loving it every second.
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, issues, etc. you can direct them to me or the sub-council. But if you have any clothes, internal organs, chopped hair, etc. feel free to keep that to yourself ;D

rules

Here are some rules that you and the Rainblugs need to follow, otherwise you might get into some trouble with the meepits.

1. Abide by TNT's rules! You had to agree to them when you joined anyway.
2. Vorpal is a 100% fully literate guild. No chatspeak, please, and make sure you spelled everything correctly and used acceptable grammar. Smileys are always welcome, though!
3. Do not start any drama. Drama will not be tolerated and will get you in deep trouble. We don't care who started it, but someone should be mature enough to know when to stop.
4. Be respectful & kind to ALL members and we all have feelings.
5. Please be active 2-3 times a week. If you are going on vacation or will be inactive, please notify Suh or Petu.
6. Spamming is not allowed on Vorpal boards. No more than three messages in a row, and you must type one complete sentence.
7. Do NOT cheat. When participating in activities, do not give away answers or help anyone by giving hints. They're supposed to get your mind going & be challenging for the fun of it.
8. Remember to have fun~! Vorpal is here for your entertainment, so enjoy it while it lasts ;D

what are the consequences?

First Warning: Like the minor warning, not a big deal. It will be kindly neomailed to you by a council member stating which rule you broke. Just promise that it won't happen again, & we can forget it all.
Second Warning: If you get this warning, things get serious. You have not been listening to the rules or have been disobeying a council member. Suhrenuh or Petunia will be notified and will keep an eye out on your posts on our board, including advertisement boards, etc.
Third, & Final Warning: This will be the last warning you receive. You have gotten previous warnings and have not listened. Therefore, depending on the seriousness, you will be suspended. Your suspension days are up to the council depending on how badly the rules were broken.
If you continue to not listen yet again, you will be deleted for Vorpal. We do not tolerate nonsense in our guild, and you rightfully deserve it.

So in some guilds, council members write about themselves and what they enjoy to do on neo. Well, in Vorpal, we do something different. The council members write about each other~! Now, I'm sure if we could, we would write essays, but we wouldn't want to bore you to death -- it'd only excite us xD

Suhrenuh (suhrenuh): There are many words you could use to describe Suh: enthusiastic, awesomesauce, super and so on and so on, but the word I would use would have to be: absolutely marvelously unique. I know, that was three words, but that's just how cool Suh is! She gets to break the rules. I met Suh in our previous guild and as soon as I joined she welcomed me and we forged a tight friendship. We were both head to head when we ran for council, and she displayed hidden depths that I never knew she possessed before then. She was able to focus her attention onto making the guild a better place for its members and I am honored to say that she beat me. I hope you all have a chance to meet and get to know your wonderful leader, Suh.

Petunia (pickledegg): Petunia is one of the best girls you can ever meet on neo. She is sweet, kind, & I'm not just saying that. I mean it; honestly. She makes the Fleafs sing, & the Lightmites dance. They create a symphony all at once & the whole guild shines. She is oh-so creative when expressing her ideas and thoughts, and a very good owner of our petpetpet fa--I mean uh... guild. She knows how to handle situations calmly and maturely, & she is always there for anyone that needs help, advice, or Mootix issues... but like I said, one of the best girls you will ever meet.

Alice (ali_mac): I knew from the moment she joined that she would be an amazing member and person. Turns out I was wrong; Alice is so much better than simply 'Amazing'. None of the words in the English language can describe her perfectly. She is just so thoughtful, kind, and just downright AWESOMESAUCE. And when I saw her Sub-Council application? It blew me away. She was simply PERFECT for Sub-Council; and when I saw tht she had gotten chosen, I was so happy for her. Suh and Petunia /couldn't/ have made a better decision for Sub-Council, they just couldn't. Alice is one of the best people I have met here on Neopets, and I hope I'll get to know her better during our time at Vorpal.

Kat (angelflonne1624): Kat, now what can one say about Kat? She is helpful, generous, enthusiastic, kind, welcoming, friendly - not to mention funny! She's always willing to lend a hand, and offer advice if you need it! She's one of the nicest people I have come across on my many years of Neo. She's willing to help out with anything and everything. She's amazing, and the best sub council member you could ever want, and her fonts are awesome! She's a total asset to the guild, and Vorpal wouldn't be the same without her!

So, you think you have what it takes to make it into our petpe--I mean guild? *wink* Go ahead and fill out the application below, then send it to Suh or Petu. You will most likely get a reply back within three days. Only send it to one of us, and if we don't reply within the three day time span, you can send it to the other council member.
We also accept both neomail&petpage applications, but we do not like short, choppy sentences, so feel free to use a petpage! You don't need a fancy custom layout to get our attention, it's just the application that matters. As long as you dedicated your time to apply & answer the questions to the best of your abilities, that's all that we're looking for. Although, a nice layout is a plus as well ^_^

newbie guide

Did you just join Vorpal? Or you want a snoop around before you join to see what you should do when you're first attacked by--I mean, when you first join, yes, join..? Well, anyway, you're at the right place! Here are some things you should check/do once you join Vorpal.

Enable your guild mailings! Don't know what guild mailings are? Once you enable them, it means that you will be receiving updates every other day or so by me that will be sent to every single guild member at once, just so you know what will be going on & what is happening at the current time -- I believe it's better to know it then rather to be chased by the Lightmites not knowing peanut butter is their weakness ;D

Neofriend our guild account! Our guild account is vgaccount. Why should you neofriend our guild account, you ask? Once you do so, you'll have access to any 1np auctions that the guild may host, and anything else special that we have in mind for neofriends only.

Have a decent font! Why? So it is easier to read for our guild members, and so the guild board looks nice and clean. If you need a good font, you should go to Jellyneo, or Soroptimist, and then look at the fonts listed there.

Put your name somewhere! Don't get mad at someone if they forgot your name when you don't have it on your userlookup. For convenience, why not have it in your nice, clean, & decent font?

Introduce yourself on the board! That'd be a good idea, right? Make sure your name gets heard, and make lots of friends on our board. Vorpal is made for you all, so enjoy it while it lasts (and it'll last a while)!

Alright, the first way to advertise is on a /guildless/ board.When advertising on guildless boards, you need to make sure the guildless neopian is literate. How to prove that, you ask? Pay attention to the board title.

A board title like ^this^ shows that the person may be not-so-literate. Their overuse of smileys is a little out of our character. Of course, we love smileys, but not as much as this person, obviously!

Here is another guildless board title made by a neopian:

If you come across one such as ^this^ one, good job -- you've found the right board! This title shows that the person is literate, and that Vorpal may be the perfect fit for them. But please read their first post! That is always important, because you never know what theme they want.

The second type of advertising is by creating our own board! But if you want to do that, you must meet these requirements:
- Your rank must be a Breebly or higher to advertise.
- You must be able to bump that board for at least one full hour. If you are to make a board, do not just make it for 10 minutes, then quit. Be persistent, and never give up!

Would you like some help with making that board? Here are some premade ads for the Subject Title. Ask Suh what to put on the first couple of posts. There will also be a few advertisements to put on /guildless/ boards as well!
