My memory my past self is cloudy and uncertain. I remember only the face of my mother, of whom I never knew, and never will. She is gone- as are all the others.
My current 'family' tells me that I had always been unclear about my past, however, after that fateful night, I forgot everything except her.
I do not remember much of what happened that night either. Everything up to the point of my awakening is a blur; a dream.
Someone.. came to me during the night- a shadow of sorts. I do not remember what they did, only that I awoke changed. Not just in the physical, but in the phycological. Her past was revealed to me. They showed me....

Apese spends a lot of time alone. He is a creature of the night; nocternal. It is a rare and unnerving site to see him during the day, as he lingers in the shadows, and can be easily be mistaken as the inanimate darkness which surrounds him. Those who do see him often cower and leave; not many souls have the courage to speak to him.

Regardless of his dark air, Apese is a relatively pleasent fellow to be around. He is of a quiet and soft-spoken nature; articulating only when spoken to. He does not centralize himself around others; and find those who do so rather bothersome. Ragardless of this, he had once been known as quite a mannerly and refined individual, but this came to an end on a rather fatefull night, below his beloved stars...
