W.O.S

Welcome to Anna's layout tutorial! This tutorial is a bit complicated so stay with me. Once you've finished you will have a FANTASTIC layout, or so i think =D Keep in mind that i use PSPX, however this tutorial works for almost all programs.

READ!!!

Rules:

You MUST credit me, winkerperson, for this tutorial. I spend an enormous amount of time working on this page so credit is a MUST. I cannot stress that enough. If i find stealers this tutorial will close, and you don't want that to happen do you?

Never steal the base of my layouts on this tutorial and add on to make it your own. That's stealing!! DON'T DO IT. I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN MUHHAHAHA. & i got back up too. And they have whips =P Right shannon & kate?

Here is a color pallet you are more than welcome to use for your layout.

PART #1.
First you are going to start out with an image sized 600x600. Fill it with a pale yellow color: #f4f19c. Next add some white ray brushes.

PART #2.
Add some white brushes (again) such as the brushes in brush set #1 and #2 on my stamp page. Click here.

PART #3.
Now this is the fun part! You get to add some grunge. Use all or most of the brushes in brush set #3. Look below for an idea of what yours should now look like:

PART #4.
Time to add some circle/target brushes. You can find some on my stamp page. To give your circles a fun effect, you're going to border them. How do you do that? I'll tell you: Create a new raster layer and then stamp some circle brushes randomly. BUT REMEMBER, it is important NOT to have them touching (look below). Now, copy that layer & create a new image sized 600x600 (be sure not to close your current image). Fill it with black and then paste your layer (EDIT - PASTE AS NEW SELECTION) Now go SELECTIONS - MODIFY - SELECT SELECTION BORDERS) and match the settings to mine below.

NOW...click okay and go EDIT - COPY. Close that image and open up your layout. Go EDIT - PASTE AS NEW SELECTION and adjust it so that it looks something like mine below: (once you're done with that click SELECTIONS - SELECET NONE)

Keep doing that until you think you have enough targets. Remember, the more the better =D Just use common sense and don't over-do it. If you want your layout to look EXTRA special, you can take one or two of your raster layers filled with the target brushes and set the settings to HARD LIGHT 100%. Here is what i have so far:

PART #5.
SPLAT TIME! You are going to be using the same technique that i showed you with the circle brushes for the splats, however, it will be a little bit different. Stamp your splat and then copy it. Create new image and fill it with black. Paste your splat brush and go SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND. Set the number of pixels to 1. Copy your splat, close the window, and open your layout. Go EDIT - COPY. Ta-da! You now have a bordered brush. Do this a number of times with DIFFERENT splat brushes on every new raster layer. Set your first splat layer to normal, but the ones after to hard light 100%. Go LAYERS - MERGE - MERGE ALL FLATTEN. This is what i have so far:

PART #6 (OPTIONAL).
This is optional, if you want to give your layout a fun colorization you can do this step. Take your layout that's merged and create a new raster layer. Fill it with a tanish color, #f3c19c, and set the settings to DARKEN 100%. Then sharpen your layout once. Final result:

You're done! Just add a psd and blog. If you want to find some good PSDs or PNGs, check out my site! Anna.pink-pistol.net I would love to see how your layout turned out, so please neomail me with your final piece of art work =)
