My Story

Welcome, you are here to hear about me? I suppose I can oblige. I was born a Desert Aisha in Sakhmet. My parents died when I was very young and as such I do not remember them. I know Anita is not a Sakhmetian name, but my parents were travelers and they named me after a Meridellian noblewoman they had been friends with. I lived with my Aunt and Uncle and cousin for a few years, until my uncle and aunt passed away.

I had inherited my parents adventurous nature and longed to travel from the time I was small. I had been left a sizable inheritance and so I no limits to my desire to travel. I began at quite an early age. I went all around the world seeing adventures in remote unknown places. I always enjoyed coming home because I had a cousin there and we were almost as close as siblings.

During on such trip I went to Neopia Central and I painted myself Blue. To some that would sound really silly, but if you were born and raised in a place where everyone was a 'rare' look, you would enjoy a change too. Hector didn't recognize me when I came back. That was pretty amusing.

Then Hector went off to college on Terror Mountain. It was lonely in the desert without him there. I spent much more time traveling after that. Then, disaster.

I was set to go off to Meridell when I heard that our Princess Amira was going to announce something, so I delayed my journey to hear. I was in the crowd and I saw Jazan with my own eyes as he transported our city to his wasteland. Utter pandemonium followed.

My house was quite sturdy and it kept the ghouls out. I waited in there and hoped that it would be over soon. Then Jazan released the Scordrax on us. He swept over the city setting it ablaze. My house was burned to the ground. I was unable to get out myself and I almost perished, but I was saved by Amira's palace guards.

I was taken to the palace and treated for my wounds, but without faerie help I was left very weak. While I was there I was told that our princess must wed Jazan the next day. I was at what was to be Amira's wedding and I saw with my own eyes the events that led to what seemed to be a happy ending.

So Sakhmet was saved and returned to its proper place in the Lost Desert. It seemed that all was over and things would go back to normal. Little did we know what was to come still, but I was no longer in Sakhmet when Razul returned.

Sakhmetian officials had set up a refugee program for citizens who were homeless. Concerned citizens from other lands were offering their homes until such a time that all the homes in Sakhmet could be repaired. My home was gone and Hector's was severely damaged. I needed to leave for a cooler climate and was too unwell to be by myself. I was told that I would be staying with a family in Neopia Central.

That is how I came to meet Kristykimmy and her daughters and son. Kristy was an aspiring journalist; a very dangerous profession for her. Elise is a faerie Cybunny and a pianist. Chloe is a labbie with dreams of being a battle master. Princess is a Desert Uni with a fascination for Desert history. Bluejay is Starry Pteri and the only boy; he is sweet and loves to stargaze. Yanli was a green Zafara who is as hyper as the day is long and the most loving little sweetheart.

I settled in well with the family. Kristy was very caring and so were the others and I was well in no time at all. I had a hard time finding workers who could rebuild my home. They were very busy, especially after Razul returned and added some damage. One night, Kristy asked to talk to me. She told me that they all really like having me live with them and that they would all like it if I would stay and become a part of the family. So I did.

There was nothing as exciting as the day my adoption papers were finalized; it meant I had a family, something I had never really had. Kristy is now technically my mother, but we're more like sisters, though every now and then she does manage to pull off being mom. I love Kristy and my brother and sisters. Even now, I keep traveling, but I am rarely alone and the happiest part of my journey is the one back home.

About two months after my adoption Kristy started a foster service to heal sick pets so that they would be adopted. She did this for a few months and then came Sireinna. She was only a day old and she was so shy and sick. It seemed to take forever before she was well. After Kristy returned her to find her forever home she stopped her foster program and lapsed into this depression. For the next three weeks she was like that. I was beginning to be very worried about her. Then out of the blue she raced off without a warning and returned not long later with Inna. She was our baby now. Inna soon got over her shyness with us and now she is happy and loving and completely secure.

Not long later Kristy gave me a petpet as a present. She bought me a Seti puppy. I fell completely for the puppy. I named her Celine, but I call her Cellie. Celine grew and grew and now she is a foot taller and longer than a normal Seti.

That Christmas Kristy gave me a white paint brush. I am very pleased by that gift. White is such an elegant shade.

So that is my story. Of course, it is only the first few chapters really. Who knows what I will go on to do or be? Well, have a nice day.

My Family

My adoptive mother, Kristy. She's hard to sum up. We're good friends and more like sisters than mother and daughter. She is a bit klutzy and sometimes a little flutter-brained, but she is a good person and she tries her hardest. She is a journalist for the Weekly World.

Dear Elise. Elise is a fun girl, though a bit sharp in the tongue. She is an amazing pianist, she has quite the green thumb, and she paints amazing landscapes. I'm a bit in awe of her.

Chloe the Battle-Girl. Clo is a fighter who wishes to specialize in all fighting forms someday, and with all weapons. She journeys around Neopia to different schools and to train under different masters. Currently she is also working as a secretary to the DoN, that surprised us all more than a little.

Princess the Historian. Princess is very quiet, but highly intelligent. She is interested in Lost Desert history and wants to be a historian. She and Hector are like peas in a pod.

Bluejay the Stargazer. Bluejay is so sweet and gentle and rather subdued. His interests lie in the night sky. He spends a lot of time in his astronomy study on the top floor, usually with Yanli.

Yanli the Hyperactive Angel. Yanli is a dear, sweet, creature, and where she gets her boundless energy from I will never know. She is a hard to focus and super exuberant. She is Bluejay's best friend and never far from his side. She is amazing at anagrams.

Sireinna the Baby. Baby Inna is without a doubt the best baby in the world. We're all crazy about her. She's very shy toward people she doesn't know. She is very loving.

Dr. Hector Worth is my cousin. Worth isn't his real surname, but his Sakhmetian one he decided was too hard to pronounce and went with something much more simple. He is also an Archaeologist and a Professor of Archaeology at the University of Sahkmet. He is about seven years older than I am. What? Did you just ask me my age? How rude, I am a lady, who failed to teach you manners! Hector and I are as close as sister and brother, and he comes here as often has he can, he has really become like a part of my adoptive family.

My Home

My Bedroom
This is my bedroom in our home in Neopia Central. It is a airy sunny kind of room. I love the white windows with their shell curtains and my desk with its quaint candle holders. Kristy put up so many shelves along the walls for my trinkets. I always bring something home with me after I go away and she made sure I would have a place to put it. Sometimes I come home to find a new shelf or cabinet in my room, I soon wonder if we will run out of room for my new things?

Our Art Gallery
I love our Art Gallery. I helped to acquire many of the pieces. I have many friends who deal in fine art. People you meet when you have the connections I have. Amira posed for that portrait for us, she is a kind and generous princess.

The Garden of Winter Light
This is the Winter Light Garden. It is so serene and peaceful. I like to sit on the bridge in the gloaming and think and sometimes play my harp. Elise says that the sound of my harp coming from this particular garden makes it seem ethereal.

Art Portfolio

Kristy's portfolio spans a few pages, her art of her family on each of their pages and her other art right here. The links to the art on the other pages are below.

Kristy does take the occasional request. Usually when she is in the mood to do requests she makes a topic on the Art Board. However, if you are interested in asking, just Neomail her on her main account (Kristykimmy) and ask. If she finds your request interesting enough, and she has the time, the odds are pretty good she'll take your request. Same for Art Trades.

Kristy: I made these pictures myself so, NO STICKY FINGERS! With a little hard work you can make some all of your own, so please, don't take mine.
