On this planet, there are spirits all around us. They are either good or evil spirits. In the ocean, there is more life here than on land and therefore, there are an abundant amount of spirits dwelling in the ocean. They control the sea and the life within it. They also control whether one shall pass with safety in the sea. Whether it's the spirit of the reefs, spirit of the whirlpools, spirit of the waves, spirit of sea life, spirit of cyclones, or spirit of rivers or lakes, they play a key role in the planet's ecological balance.
~Intro~
Ammersee, spirit of the ocean and ocean current, is a friendly spirit that travels throughout the entire ocean on a daily basis. She protects water creatures that are in harms way by humans, or water creatures that are in need of assistance. Ocean dwellers and natives who live near her underwater cavern know that one must never disrespect her in anyway or they will surely never return. Whenever she is in a pleasant mood, the natives' lives seem to prosper. However, when she is displeased or angry, a horrible dark shadow casts above the ocean where tsunamis crash in through the shore and devastating hurricanes ravage the island.
A common story has been told here since the mishap back 10 years ago where travelers learned the important role of the spirits and learned that not all spirits are welcoming. Now our story begins, going near the shores of Manachu, 136 miles southwest from Lutari Island...
You start trudging your way to the captain's deck. "Man, why did I ever go on this trip?" you scold "We haven't gotten a single good meal on this lousy ship and I'm starting to feel sea sick." you mumble. "Hey, why are we coming out here in the middle of the ocean anyways? We've never been this far from the mainland." you point out to the captain. You take out a chocolate bar, unfold the wrapper, and start eating the chocolate.
Hmm.... Wait did you say something?" the Captain looks at you in a blank look. The Captain is a man in his late 20s maybe early 30s.
You smack your lips trying to get the chocolate off your lips and reply, "Yeah, I asked why we are coming out here in the middle of the ocean anyways? We've never been this far from the mainland. Just curious.
The Captain gives you a cold glared which sends shivers down your spine. "We've changed course. We've gotten an S.O.S. by the D�©senchant�©e, It seems like they had a sudden problem and we decided to go check it out.
You look up and respond in a simple "Oh...Okay then, I guess I'll go back to my quarters." You shuffle your feet and then head off to your room. Once you reach your room, you sit on your bed and take off your shoes. "Hmm... Maybe I should take a little nap; maybe it will help me feel better." You start to dose off a bit and then gradually you fell asleep.
You awake and look around the room until your eyes finally reach your alarm clock. "Hmph... I guess I slept for about two hours." You get up and put on your shoes. You start looking out at the porthole when you see that fog is surrounding the ship. You decide to get on the ship's deck just to see how bad the fog is.
You look out across the sea and all you can see is a few 50 yards out. You start to sweat since you knew that this weather is very uncommon and that any ship to be caught in this is a sitting duck since you don't know your surroundings which could be problematic if your ship hits rocks or other obstructions.
You decide to go to the captain and see if there is anything you can do. Thinking to yourself, you hope that nothing bad will happen. You enter the captain's deck where you see him staring out at the sea in a dazed, scared look. In one hand he had the wheel of the ship, the other, he had a pair of headphones tightly close to his ear if he could hear any more S.O.S. from the D�©senchant�©e. You walk a little closer and then ask him if there is anything you can do.
The Captain's head turns slightly and he says "I've never seen fog this bad in all of my years of sailing ever since I was 10 years old. Let's see, we've got someone's on the crow's nest, and we got plenty of men down in the boilers. Hmm... How about you keep a lookout on the bow of the ship. It's always good to have a few extra pair of eyes looking besides our man in the crow's nest.
You stare at him. "The bow is where again? The right side of the ship? Or left?" you ask in a puzzled way.
The Captain sighs and chuckles, "It's the front of the ship. You clearly never have been on boats much."
You look down since you just feel embarrassed "Oh... I guess you could tell that I've haven't been on many ships." you chuckle. "Well I better go out then. I'll ring a bell if I see anything."
You head out slowly towards the bow of the ship and pullout a chair. In the past hour, all that you have seen was fog, fog, and more fog, nothing new. As the next ten minutes passed by, the fog seemed to lessen and then you let out a sigh in relief. "Seems to be like it's letting up a bit." you said to yourself. You turn around and decide to get a little drink but as you are heading to go to the dinning area, you hear the sailor in the crow's nest ring the bell insanely. He's screaming at the top of his lungs "CAPTAIN!!!! SHIP AHEAD ON THE BOW SIDE!!!!"
You rapidly turn and see a ship less than a mile away burning and sinking. You look through your binoculars and see that it was the D�©senchant�©e, and it was split in two, sinking to its grave. You stare with your mouth open in disbelief. You can see debris flying throughout the water, smoke and the air, and ash falling down into the waters.
Captain! It's the D�©senchant�©e!" you shout. "What could have done this?!
The Captain said frantically on the speakerphone, "Let's look for survivors. Wilkes, Macbeth, Saratoga, and Smith! Go to a lifeboat and see if you can find any survivors. Maybe they can tell us what happened.
You see the four crew members go to the lifeboats and you wish them luck. As they lower down into the sea, you hope that there are at least some survivors. You pull up a chair on the deck and decide to wait there until they came back.
As a half a hour passed by, and then you heard a few shouts nearby calling for them to be picked up and that they did retrieve some survivors. You sigh in relief; well at least coming out here wasn't that bad, well at least we saved a few lives you think. You and a few others on board helped lift some of the survivors. There were 8 survivors out of the 20 that were originally on the D�©senchant�©e. All of the survivors were currently unconscious. As they were piled onto stretches and lifted, all of a sudden, one of the survivors gasped and had awakened. Everyone had looked at him and he was breathing heavily.
We must get AWAY from here as soon as possible!" he hollered. "Or else IT will come back and surely destroy us all!
We all looked at him like he was crazy. IT?!? What was IT? By the sounds of it, IT doesn't seem so friendly.
Whoa! Easy there fella! Calm down, tell us what happened SLOWLY. And would you mind telling us what IT is and what your name is." a sailor said.
The survivor took a few deep breaths in and finally responded, "My name is Mikel, I was co-captain of the D�©senchant�©e. We were attacked by a sea monster. It was gigantic. It breathed out blue fire and broke our ship into two. We were first attacked earlier this morning, but we thought we lost it when outran it. We were wrong. Our ship was slightly damaged when it first attacked so we sent out a S.O.S. we didn't want to scare anyone off if we said we were being attacked by a sea monster. Surely other ships would have ignored us. Then you guys responded to our S.O.S. and so we were getting prepared to be saved when it came back. This time, he spoke to us and said his name was Mycanicis, spirit of the stormy seas. He didn't like our presence in his ocean. He said his earlier attack was a warning and that this time, he would finish it. All of us were scared. We tried to fend him off but it was no good. In the end, he used his giant claws and fiery breath to destroy the D�©senchant�©e. We MUST LEAVE NOW! Before he comes back!"
All of us just glared at him. Most of us didn't believe in spirits. Those who didn't believe just thought he was crazy from exhaustion or dehydration, but those who believed were a little fearful.
We decided he just needed some food and sleep. So we were just about to take him in when suddenly, a shockwave just shook the entire ocean. Then, a few seconds later, a high rusty sounding screech roared beneath the boat, so loud that it could be heard for miles.
What was that!" a sailor said.
Mikel started to sweat. He started to shake and quiver in fear. "Mycanicis is back! We are all doomed! We have brought bad fortune to this ship!" he yelled in a panic way.
All of the disbelievers stared out into the sea. We all believed now that Mikel was telling the truth. Unfortunately it was too late. We should have taken his warning and left immediately. We all looked out to the sea; all of us were scared at the fate stored ahead of us.
Out of the water came a giant lobster-like beast. Just like a dolphin leaping fully out of the water, Mycanicis leaped over the boat without touching it. When he hit the water, a giant wave of water hit the boat. All of the crew was sent flying to the floor.
I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE MY SEA! YOU SHALL ALL PAY FOOLISH HUMANS!" Mycanicis bellowed out.
Preparing to shoot the port side of the ship with his blue fiery blast, all on board were shaking in fear that this was the end.
Just as the blast was about to hit the ship, a golden-blue energy orb hits the energy blast in opposing direction causing a loud explosion.
WHAT?!?!?! WHO DARES STOP MYCANICIS! SHOW YOURSELF! DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE FACING!! I AM THE SPIRIT OF THE STORMY SEAS! SHOW YOURSELF!" yelled Mycanicis.
On a nearby rock, a beautiful baby blue and navy blue sea dragon appeared out of no where.
Sheesh Mycanicis, why is it that you are always causing trouble?" the beautiful dragon calmly said.
Mycanicis looked at the dragon across the ocean. "WHO DO YOU THINK ARE YOU LITTLE DRAGON?!? I'M EASILY DOUBLE YOUR SIZE! What's your name?" laughed Mycanicis.
Hmm... Me?? I'm just a little spirit protecting those in need within the sea." she quietly said.
PROTECTING THOSE WHO NEED IT! HA! WHAT A FOOL! NOW DIDN'T I SAY TO TELL ME YOUR NAME!" roared Mycanicis.
She sighed, "My name is Ammersee since you wanted to know." she replied calmly.
AMMERSEE??! That name sounds familiar. TELL ME KNOW, WHAT IS YOUR SPIRIT DUTY!?!?!
She sighed again. "If I must. I am Ammersee, spirit of the ocean and the ocean's current" she softly replied.
Mycanicis' glowing red eyes widened. He paused for a little bit to see that one of the four legendary spirits was here. "Well Ammersee, I'm sorry to tell you this but they are in my domain now and well I don't care what you think but they are MINE!" he roared.
All of us on board were scared. We didn't know what was about to happen us and whether we were about to survive this ordeal.
Mycanicis charged at the ship and raised his right claw trying to cut the ship in half but before he could even touch the ship, Ammersee, in less than a second, leapt from the rock into the sea, she swam under the ship, jumped out of the water, and stood on top of the water while stopping Mycanicis with her tail.
You watched their battle only a few feet away. You could see that Mycanicis was struggling to try to penetrate the ship while Ammersee didn't seem with ease to stop the massive claw from even touching the ship. Clearly so far, she was winning.
ENOUGH OF THIS FOOLISHNESS!" stormed Mycanicis and he backed off to get enough distance for his final move.
Ammersee just looked at him, figuring out of what his next move is going to be.
Mycanicis swam away as quickly as he could and then turned back towards the ship in full haste. Then, with his mouth he did one of his most powerful blasts that he could possibly could.
Ammersee glared and then went into her defensive stance. She pulled her antennas in front of her head and stiffened her stance. The last thing we saw before she was hit was her tips of her antennas glowing.
Mycanicis' blast hit Ammersee head on. It was a direct hit. No person could have survived that massive energy. Once the clouds began to fade. Our mouths dropped.
Mycanicis' eyes widened in disbelief. "NO! IT CAN'T BE!" he yelled in anger.
Ammersee had a glowing blue energy shield around her. She didn't have a scratch on her. Her eyes were glowing and so was a lot of her body. She looked different. A little angry perhaps, no one bothered to ask.
The tips of her antennas were pointing inward towards her mouth. The light around her antennas grew larger, her mouth opened and a ball of pure, high energy grew. Then a bright line of light went straight toward Mycanicis and he was hit directly. Ammersee stopped glowing and then looked at Mycanicis.
He turned away slowly in defeat. Then he fled away as quickly as possible.
She turned toward the ship and looked down at everyone. She smiled and asked sweetly, "So... Is everyone okay?"
Everyone on deck just nodded.
Good, so I guess I will be on my way then.
WAIT!" shouted the Captain and everyone including Ammersee turned to see what he was shouting about. "It appears that Mycanicis had disabled our rudders and our propellers. We are stranded here. Can you help us at least one more time?" he kind fully asked.
Ammersee looked at the Captain and smiled "Sure, I'll send you near my home near Manachu. There the natives will take care of the rest."
The Captain thanked her. Ammersee went into the sea and all of us ran to the edge of the boat to see what was going to happen. The sea turned a bright blue below are boat and we were moving.
Finally, you and the rest of the sailors approached Manachu Island and were greeted by the natives on the beach. All of us were so glad to see land. When all of the sailors walked ashore, all of us looked back to the ocean and saw Ammersee for the last time as she jumped high into the sky and swam off into the sunset.
We told the leader of the Manachuan people of what had happened. He told us that this is just one of the heroic duties that Ammersee had done. They told us more of similar and different stories around dinner time. You learned of what she had done for others who were in desperate situations out at sea of all species, not just man. They even told you how she even fights for justice against those who cause the ocean pain. It was a wonderful night for stories. All of the survivors of both ships took in what the natives had to say, and all of us gained a little more respect for the ocean.
As you were about to leave the island since the repairs on the ship were done, you headed to the beach were Ammersee left the crew earlier. You looked out into the sea and threw a flat rock into the ocean where it skipped a few times on the surface and then sank. You stared at it and took in the ocean's beauty and decided to head back to the boat. As you are about to turn away, you see something in the corner of your eye. You turn to see what it was and you smile. It was an area of the sea which was glowing, the exact glow that Ammersee gave off.

Age: Around 2,000 years
Spirit of: Ocean and the ocean current (it's been passed down by her ancestors)
Personality:She's a good spirit most of the time. She is powerful, smart, helpful, calm, curious, cunning, loving, and is dangerous when she has a temper.
Description :A beautiful sea serpent like draik, light blue skin with a navy blue back and markings. Her main markings that she has represent two whirlpools. Her fins are different shades of blue which represent the ocean's calm nature. When aggravated, her amulet, antenna, markings, and fins glow blue. She is able to do solar blasts with her antennas. She is also capable of producing tsunamis and massive waves just with a flick of her tail. She can also manipulate the water and can use it above ground against her enemies.
