A chubby eastern draik frolicked in a grass field overflowing with flowers and tall plants. The only part of him visible was his stubby tail sticking up above the grass.
The stems of plants shook gently as the draik pounced forward clumsily. The colourful flowers around him quickly sunk down to the ground, disappearing into his hungry mouth.

What a strange draik.

The draik hiccuped quietly and breathed out a thin cloud of rainbow smoke. His paws scuffled across the grassy surface and the draik quickly sprinted towards a tree.
He ran in an awkward yet unique way. His three sets of limbs worked like a running centipede and his whiskers flowed back into the air. His toes spread out and he jumped onto the tree's sturdy trunk. He slowly climbed up, his toes making a faint popping sound each time they were lifted.

The suction cups on his toes helped him stay glued against the tree, like an octopus. His back was stained with dark black splotches that stood out against his red scales.
A ladybug dragon.

The draik leapt onto a branch and steadily crept on its surface. His eyes closed gently and he took a deep breath. The surroundings around him swirled wildly and the grassy landscape disappeared. A colourful pink sky shone overhead and now the draik lay on an endless ground of sweets and food.
The draik held a large fish between his front paws and nibbled on it with his sharp and small fangs.

What a life.
