Introduction

You walked warily through the woods, the thick trees trunks surrounding you. You take a quick glimpse around your surround and sighed exasperated. It seemed as if the forest would go on forever. You looked ahead again, there seemed to be a clearing ahead so you stepped cautiously toward it.

Hiding behind a tree, you noticed two creatures were in the clearing - a stallion with a blue tinged white pelt and a small sheep of the same hue. Two things that made the stallion unique were his broken wings and horn. "Come on, move," the stallion muttered. He was nudging the sheep forward though it wouldn't budge. He had soft blue skin with thick fleece which was dotted by little blue flowers. He continued standing there lazily munching on grass.

All of a sudden, the sheep's head jerked up, noticing you. He bleated and skipped over to where you were hiding. The stallion looked up and took a few steps toward you. "Well, well, who is this?" he asked inquisitively.

You stammered out your name. "Heading to the next town," you told him. He took a quick glimpse at the sky. The sun was setting and it filled the sky with streaks of purple and pink. He turned toward you and informed, "It's across the stream on the other side of the valley. Only a few hours, but you won't make it before dark. They'll shut the gates by then and you'll be stranded there 'til dawn. Best you stay with me until morning."

He nudged you, nickering quietly and led you to a small, gurgling stream. The Babaa happily following. "That's Moo," the stallion said, "and I'm Akrulii." He indicated toward a willow. "Go rest there." He left you and moments later, came back rolling over some apples. "You can eat those," he said cheerfully as he laid down with a sigh. "Since we have nothing to do now, I suppose I'll tell you a story..."

Story

I was born high up in the mountains in a small herd. My mother had come from a different herd and just joined this one a few days ago before she gave birth to me. I never knew my father, I heard he died while they were heading toward the mountains. Ma tearfully left a few weeks later - said she had to search for some "Blade". So I grew up alone and became reckless colt.

One day, I was flying and didn't notice the dark clouds that were starting to swirl about over me. All of a sudden, I was being pounded by snow and hurled side to side by winds. Then there was a huge gust and I was hurled into a cliff. I felt a terrible pain in my wings and horn as I tumbled down. The snow broke the fall so that part wasn't so bad. I laid there for days - maybe longer - until the pain subsided. I had the skill to heal wounds over time. I stood up with a groan and raised my wings to take off, but I couldn't. They just wouldn't move. I turned my head puzzled to have a look at my wings. I gazed mournfully at my battered , broken wings. I instantly realized that I could never reach my herd; only one with wings could go that high. It took me a while later to find out that the tip of my horn snapped off. I wander about now, quiet and watchful - unlike the irresponsible colt I used to be.

Another Variation

He lowered his head onto his legs. "I also have a different story, but I rarely use it to explain my past."

My caretaker planned to create me as a female faerie Kau. She spent many months earning the NP, and later when she had enough, she bought a Faerie Paint Brush for about 300k. She put it in her shop to proudly display it to the world. After a few weeks, she decided it wasn't a really good idea since there might be scammers lurking about so she took it out of her shop. When she went to her inventory there was some words about not able to view the inventory. She refreshed a few times and angrily left Neopets for a few minutes. Later she came back and discovered that the paint brush was gone, and realized It disappeared during the glitch a few minutes ago. How ironic. She quit Neopets, but eventually came back, created me as a blue Uni, and I became her new lab rat. She always wanted a white Uni and after a few zaps, I turned cloud and decided the color was close enough and well...here I am.

He chuckled. "I have quite a few friends, so I apologize if I forget a few..."

Farewell

The stallion took a quick glance at the sky. It was dawn now. Both of you having been trading stories all night since you weren't the least bit sleepy.

I suppose it's time for you to leave," he said cheerfully. "I'm sure we'll meet again one day." You nodded and walked away from the white stallion towards the town at the end of the valley.
