Meandering around aimlessly along busy city streets, you glance in the windows you pass by. The crowd pushes, and everyone seems to be in a great hurry to get somewhere, except you. A shop with a pastel pink decor beckons to you, and upon a second look, you discover that it is actually a bakery.
A soft chime sounds as you push the glass door open, the inviting smell of warm baked goods and upbeat music fills your senses. You survey your surroundings. The walls are a pastel pink, with cute little white bunnies stenciled on a line. The white tiles are in perfect condition; practically sparkling. Cakes, pies, cookies and the like sit in pink and white display cases. There seems to be no one here. You sigh and turn to leave, until you hear a noise behind you.
A pink aisha pops up from behind the counter. She's about 165 cm, you'd estimate, with long blond rainbow-streaked hair tied up in messy pigtails. Her blue eyes sparkle as she smiles cheerfully at you. She brushes loose bits of flour off her pastel patterned apron as she makes her way over.
´Eee!´ She squeals happily. You step back, startled.
´Ah! Sorry!´ She bows, ´I'm just really happy. Business has been slow today. In fact, you're my first customer of the day!´
She brings you to a table by the window, and hands you a menu. You order a strawberry milkshake and a chocolate cake. She returns fairly quickly with your order; the perks of eating in an empty cafe.
´Is business always this bad?´ You ask worriedly. This aisha seems to love her work, and it would be horrible if she had to close down.
´Haah? Eh, not really!´ She smiles, tilting her head as she does so, ´usually it gets pretty crowded!´
´So today is just an exception?´
´Yeah, I suppose. I do like the quiet sometimes, it gives me time to think. Though I kind of miss the company when it's like this, but you can't have it all, right?´ She laughs, heading over to wipe clean some table tops.
´Why are you working here?´ You ask curiously.
´Erm, I kind of own the place, hee...´
´Oh... Then, why-´
´Are we playing 20 questions?´ She asks, then stops herself, ´eek! That came out unintentionally rude, I apologize!´ She bows again. ´It's just it seems odd for someone to show any interest in me, I'm just here to bake stuff!´ She offers by means of an explanation.
´Ah. I see...´
´But it's been so long since I've actually sat down and talked about myself; none of these customers seem to care nowadays, everyone's busy trying to get somewhere in life! It seems that I'm a slacker, all I want to do is bake, chat with my customers, and enjoy life.´ She giggles.
Sasaki Aitoko was born to a well off family, to the proud parents Sasaki Hideo and Sato Megumi. Hideo and Megumi divorced soon after, with Hideo gaining custody. Aitoko was, for the most, brought up by her stepmother, Sasaki Mayu. She was given a fairly ordinary life, maybe a tad bit spoiled, but for the whole, normal. Raised in the city, she went to one of the most elite schools. Since the day she was born, she has been an eternal optimist, sometimes to an extreme.
There really was nothing out of the ordinary about her life, until one day, when she was 12, she decided to do some digging into her family. She uncovered that her father had actually had a wife before her mother, and that she had a half-brother -- Nakamura Hatori.
Intrigued, the young girl set out to find this long lost relative of hers, and believe her, it was no small feat. It turns out Hatori didn't even go by that name anymore, and that his name was actually Atorii. Nevertheless, she tracked her brother down. He despised her on sight, but once she realized he was living alone, she forced her father to adopt his own son -- it's the right thing to do anyway.
When Aitoko had reached the age of 17, Hideo had passed away, and she was confused to find that he had bequeathed everything to Mayu. Not wanting to start a fuss, she started a bakery and for the most part, took care of herself, and sometimes Atorii. As it was hard to earn enough for an apartment, the two siblings moved in with Hotaruhi, a wannabe rockstar aisha, an aisha shinigami-in-training called Sora, and a human girl by the name of Aone, driving all of them pretty much insane.

Personality: Aitoko is that cheerful girl that seemed to be friends with everyone. She's just so... nice. She's overly optimistic, and sees the best in everyone and everything. This is not so great a trait, as it does lead her into some danger. She's quite naive, and is actually a bit of a scaredy-cat. Although she is 18 years old, she is very childish, though she does have occasions where she acts her age.

♥ FAMILY ♥
Atorii - Aitoko's half-brother, the two are like yīn and yáng. Aitoko's optimism and politeness balances out Atorii's pessimism and rudeness. If you ever met the two, you'd be puzzled at how they could possibly be related.
Sora - Aitoko's adopted brother, Sora is a stand-in for Aitoko's little sister. Because of his feminine appearance, Aitoko has taken to calling him her sister and attempting to braid his hair. It has cost Aone thousands for Sora's therapy bills.
Hotaru - An ex-gang member, Hotaru makes himself comfortable in this family. Too comfortable. You'd be lucky to survive one day in the Strange household without being pranked by this ambitious rock-star-wannabe.
Anstiss - An undead usul prince, he's the perfect gentleman, and the perfect big brother. Unfortunately, he actually finds Aitoko a tad annoying, but is too kind to say anything about it.
Jin - A young Zafara, Jin has made the Strange household his home, whilst he busies himself tracking down jiangshi. He's found the company bearable here, so Aone went ahead and adopted him.
Tuloa - A bright and happy aisha on the outside, Tuloa harbors an irritable side that shows once you try to ask about her.
Lion - A mute xweetok who enjoys spending time with his optimistic older sister Aitoko. Aitoko is confident that one day he will learn to speak.
Cyanihde - A devilish ixi that has such a black heart, even Aitoko has trouble liking him sometimes.
Aone - The human girl, the one who owns the house. Who knows what she was thinking when she took on this er... unique bunch of characters as her neopets.
