Once upon a time there was a girl name Ahriae, but most people called her Airy. She had a tail and her passion was airplanes. This is the story of how she became the youngest pilot ever to fly completely around the world. Don't look at me like that, cinderpaw618! This is a good story. I think you're going to like it.

appearance; Ahriae is slightly taller than most girls her age, but only slightly. She has an overall lean, athletic build and has a somewhat feminine shape. Her skin is a pale yellow and sunburns quite easily. She has light green hair that she keeps at a short chin-length in a choppy style. The green of her hair matches the green of the rounded spines that go down her back and over her tail. Her eyes are a harsher shade of lime green, however.

personality; Ahriae is the type of girl who invests herself completely in her interests. For this reason, her one great passion is aviation. She wants to become the youngest pilot to fly all the way around the world. Also, she doesn't let people tell her she can't. Ahriae has a strong sense of girl-power pride and won't let anyone dissuade her from achieving her goals just because she's a woman. She is very persistent. The word "quit" is not in her vocabulary whatsoever. All the world knows about her ambitions because she is outgoing and excitable. She wants everyone to be as passionate about flying as she is, and she wears that on her sleeve for everyone to see.

strengths; Ahriae is very bright, and this is her greatest strength. Logically minded, she can easily think her way through any problem or situation she may be stuck in. Her sticktoitiveness is also a strength. She won't let anyone or anything stand in the way of what she wants to do.

weaknesses; Level-headedness is where Ahriae is lacking. In tough, high-stress situations she easily looses her cool. Another big weakness of hers is her arrogance. She is confident in herself but sometimes overly confident to the point where she thinks she is invincible even when she isn't. Also, Ahriae tends to think that she is better/smarter than people her senior who are trying to help. She'll brush of their helpful comments and continue doing what she wants to do.

Sometimes she wondered why she was born with a tail instead of wings. A tail wasn't good for anything, especially not hers. All it did was swing back and forth and get in the way all the time. It just didn't seem fair that some people could just flap their wings and fly away, but she was stuck on the ground. Even at a young age, she knew what she wanted. And she knew where she had to go to get it.

The day that Ahriae became Airy was the same day she discovered her lack of flight. A small five year old girl, pig tails and all, spent much of her time watching birds take off from the ground. For weeks she imitated their movements, flailing her arms and running here and there around the farm in an attempt to take flight. But grown-ups kept informing her that birds had wings and she did not. But Ahriae didn't listen. Instead, she tried to force herself into flight.

On a very windy autumn day, when no one was looking, she climbed to the very top of a hay stack. And then, she jumped. For a short moment, she achieved the sensation of flight. For a split second, she was weightless, suspended in the air. And then gravity caught up to her. She crashed to the ground with a thud and let out a cry. It only took a few moments for her mother to arrive on the scene, only to discover her daughter laughing and squealing with delight as she was climbing to the top of the hay to try it again. Of course, her mother wouldn't have it. Ahriae was banned from the hay stacks permanently, and it was discovered a few hours later that Airy had broken her arm in the flight.
