Abel is a complex. He is hard to place. He is not like other people that are like an location on a map that you can pin down. He is brilliant. He is alluring. He is a lot of things. Some are written clearly across his face. Like that fact that he takes great pleasure destroying vampires. However, other details about him are buried deep within the brick walls that surround his mind. He is capable of staring someone straight in the eyes to tell a story with disarrayed facts full of holes and make them believe it because he takes amusement out of spitting out lies.
Abel will explain himself as someone who is not sane nor insane. He exists. That is all. There is nothing for him to give or for anyone to take. He does not lack emotions, it has just caused him problems before and he likes to cut them free from anyone he does not need to have them for. He is not some crazy human out to kill vampires. He is a fallen who was betrayed by one, so instead of taking time to gain his status back, he has turned his forever walk on the Earth as a way to rid the world of what caused him the most misery.

Evelyn is not complex. She is open about her emotions. She is the utter opposite of Abel. Even though her parents were killed by a vampire, she is not as set out to rid the world of them. She is just along for the ride. She feels as if she takes more care of Abel than the other way around.
Yes, she is blind in her left eye due to the vampire that attacked. She does not talk about it much. She sees no point and does not like pitty. She is over the death and has moved on.
