Krawk Clan info

Introduction

lo there! I can see you're at least curious about Krawk Clan (Or KC as we like to call it) as you seem to have stumbled upon this sandy old page here.

Sandy? Aye, I know it's a bit random, but so are the people in the guild. We're just... special you could say =3

Right, anyway, before I get pounced upon by one of my krawks *shifty eyes* I'd better describe the main points, aims and reasons for KC.

Well, the name says it all. Krawk Clan. We're absolutely nuts about krawks. You don't have to have one to join in the madness, you just gotta at least love them ^^ Most of us do have krawks here, and the rest are desperately trying to get one xD

History

Why have you heard of the name before, you ask? Well, *misty eyes* this guild was originally owned by Gabby aka lnvisible, and she made it when the Krawk was first able to be created with a petpet.

Now, obviously krawks were creating quite a fuss back then, and when the guild got chosen to win the Site Spotlight award, well, it went crazy. 700† members in a week!

After all the madness, we were mainly a roleplaying guild, where Krawks could meet other krawks, which is where I came in. I joined when I saw the guild win the spotlight, and I soon somehow managed to get to 2nd council. But when Gabby left neopets, it kind of all fell apart, and most of the active members followed me to a different roleplaying guild...

Up until about 2008. The guild became alive again! Gabby graciously handed me the keys to the guild so I could rebuild with Jessie (Cellular_one) and War (0hybrid). Old friends have been reappearing, and new friendships being formed all the time ^^

Today, we now have one of the original Krawk Clan Council members back again, and with the sudden burst of activity this Christmas 2009, we're set for a good New Years. Roll on 2010!

Guild Purpose

Basically, we want KC to be mainly a roleplaying guild, as active as possible, with great new layouts all the time, a place for krawks to interact and people to find other krawk roleplayers as we seem to be pretty rare ^^

We're going to be expanding the guild, hopefully going to offer competitions, just for fun of course, weekly roleplays (or when we feel like it). Generally a great place to be, even if you don't have or want a krawk ^^

Guidelines

It's pretty easy to stay a member in ol' KC. We're a very tolerant bunch here, but there's a couple of things you ought to avoid.

Begging

- We can't stand beggers here, if you barge into the guild, and start harrassing members for items or especially their pets, you're not likely to stay long.

Scamming

- Anything against the Rules is not tolerated at all in the guild and will result in your removal. Other things include hacking, cheating etc etc

God-moding

- Basic roleplaying skills are essential, please don't just barge into a roleplay and take it over, or control other people's characters, it's not polite or acceptable.

Spamming

- Posting short, pointless, annoying messages, flooding the board with useless posts, will result in you being given a "cooling-off" period. If you just happen to have forgotten to add something in the last post, or you've left it a while and noone else has posted since, that's fine. Just don't flood the board.

Roleplay Setting

Krawk Clan is set in a dark, murky swamp, the perfect place for reptilian type creatures to lurk. Light does filter through the trees, but not strongly.

The water's surface looks murky, covered with pondweek, branches from fallen trees drift across the waterways, the vines from over-hanging trees creating hiding places for the wary.

But underneath the surface it's a krawk's paradice. Butterfish and others swim freely for krawks to prey on, other aquatic creatures do make appearances, but the krawk rules this domain.

Out of the gloomy forest with it's murky waterways and swamps, you can find plains of grass, and the large Kiko Lake domanating the landscape. In another direction is the shore maybe from where old seadog krawks appeared years ago to find a peaceful place to live.

The rest is up to you to decide, so get roleplaying!

Currently, we're not accepting applications council, as they are all currently filled, but we are considering making a Sub Council, what do you think? Tell us on the guild Message Board!

If you just want to raise your rank in the guild, here are some tips to help you along.

First and foremost, follow the guidelines, they're there to help you know how to act.

Basically if you're polite, friendly, following the Rules and the guidelines above, you'll raise your rank immediately. Following rank raises depend on amount of posts, quality of roleplaying, activeness and how you have helped the guild. Have fun, be yourself, and it won't take you long at all!
