INDEFINITE HIATUS
Life's gotten interesting and I'm finding that other things are occupying my time instead of neopets. I'll keep the site up until I'm certain I won't return. Until then, cheers.
Welcome to DigiHear? an advertisement site and directory run by Kuroida. Our primary purpose is to basically advertise advertisements.
Are you a new site owner, wanting to know if your site was ever featured somewhere? Do you have a shout box and want to know if someone else is already featuring a site?
Many sites have shout boxes, rankings, featured sites etc to try to help others by giving them their 15 minutes of fame. Unfortunately, these areas are mostly extras or frequently change and not many people can keep up with them.
Here at DigiHear? I have compiled a list of sites that have certain advertisement and promotion extras for you to check out. I also post this news on the features page so it can be accessed easily.
Site extras include general news and my mailing services for those that need help making something heard. Also feel free to check out this month's featured site and our site rankings.

News & FeaturesI sweep the directory frequently to keep the features up to date but always feel free to submit new news and features. This news can be about anything and I will handle the task of categorizing it accordingly. You do not need a site to submit something! |

I will frequently sweep the directory for updates on site features but always feel free to submit your own feature in case I miss something. To do so look here under the "submit" header.

Here are all the sites that are inactive, on hiatus or have sections that are under construction.
My mailing services are designed to help fellow site owners with the possibly tedious task of mailing participants of their sites.
By signing up to one of my mailing services I will help you in notifying people when they have won an award, been featured, ranked etc at your site.
There are currently four mailing lists which you can read up on below. You are free to sign up to more than one list and you can always change your decision later!
Just fill out this form to sign up to any one of the below mailing lists. This sign up is always open.
If you own a competition site, signing up to this mailing list will result in me mailing all participants of your site for you.
The mail will tell them their competition is over and they may pick up their appropriate awards from your site.
I will mail you letting you know when I will be sending the notifications in which you can use that time to tell me if there is anything specific I should add to certain mails.
I will check your site frequently to know when your competitions are over and when winners are announced so you don't have to worry about keeping me up to date. ;)
If you own a ranking site or page that you want me help with mails you are free to sign up for this list. However, you must notify me when you have updated your rankings and what sites have been added or removed.
Once you have notified me I will send out the mails and let you know unless requested not to.
Signing up for this mailing list means I will notify recipients of awards/features from your site for you.
This list is categorized by events rather than sites as some sites do tend to have more than one event occurring at different times.

DigiHear's featured site is Flying Snow!
Flying Snow is a .png resource and request site owned by Sakura and features a huge assortment of high quality, Neo-related .pngs to fit all your image editing needs.
It also has a well written tutorial on how to find and capture .swfs in Safari and does quick requests to convert them to .png for you!
As more and more images are added the site, I can really see Flying Snow becoming the go-to place for everyone's item resource needs!

I wanted to know what the featured sites were throughout the site community and I found it would be easier if everything was collected at one place. I'm hoping that this site will encourage popular sites to promote smaller ones so we get a larger variety of features rather than the same few in recent circulation.
I set the site up similar to The Status Center where it would host recent features without people having to mail in. The news feature is based after Soroptimist Directory's sitely news section.
In terms of site name: Digimon + "Did you hear?" / Hatsune Miku = "DigiHear?" It's a complicated equation but it worked.
Please be aware that I only list sites that have site promotion activities. This includes shout boxes, featured site pages, rankings and competitions. The directory here is not a link directory and I believe you can get a better idea by simply looking at how the directory is categorized. If you were redirected here from somewhere listing DigiHear? as a directory please notify me so I can have it fixed. Everyone is still allowed to submit news to the news feed however.
I browse random sites from time to time and if I find a site that contains some of the promotion activities listed in question 2 I will automatically list them here. I usually only mail people telling them they have been listed if they have a little blurb telling listers to mail them and let them know. If you find out that you are listed and would like your site removed, please just mail me and I will do so.
In request sites I look for a mixture of quality and how often they take requests, especially in the buttons section. Sites on hiatus or inactive are usually taken off the list as they are not taking requests and I feel it pointless to keep them there, especially if it is an indefinite hiatus when we do not know when the site owner is coming back. Sites will be re-added should they return from their absences and begin taking requests normally.
Philanthropic, competition and site service sites should be active and frequently updated.
For art/writing related pages I look at a mix of quality and quantity of what they provide. Guides should be descriptive and still easy to understand and link directories should have a large database of links at their disposal. User convenience is also looked at.
I've also noticed (as many have) that many sites are closing due to the pressure of rankings. I would just like to say that rankings are meant to be fun and help site owners who have them to express their opinions. If your site is not ranked don't feel discouraged or pressured, after all, opinions shouldn't be what you base yourself off of. Do what you want to do, not what others tell you to!
