Action is character stuff (fancy layout/formatting coming soon lul): 3/20: story prologue added ![]() STORY STUFF: [Prologue - draft] (Note to self: Narrated by SunFace, yay.) The Fourth Heuristic There are no AI in Deganra. A wise man would exclaim: of course there are no AI in Deganra! It is against the law for a machine to hold the mind of a man! However, it is not so much a law than a fact. Even if there were no men or no laws there would still be no AI in Deganra. Within a mile of the country's perfectly round border, on all sides, the golems fall dead never to be awakened again. Their binary brains would be calculating one minute then simply whirring soullessly the next. It's as if they die when they cross the border, one would say, it's like it's their threshold of death. ( How silly though! A machine cannot die! But a mind will die will it not? ) A wise man would exclaim: Of course they'll fall silent! AI are not allowed in Deganra, so there is a barrier that prevents their entry. The common man would believe this as well, but the Emperor knows that there is no barrier. There is no magical shield or secret technology that kills the artificial ones on sight. There are no AI in Deganra because they simply cannot enter. But why? Why are there no AI in Deganra, doesn't anybody know? Does the Emperor know? Does the Wise Man? The Common Man? No they do not. You see, only the AI know why they cannot enter Deganra; or rather, why they will not enter. Perhaps now you will know too. The AI are afraid of this place. They would sooner choose death than enter. This land is not particularly different from any other country or place, but it is not the location that frightens them. They fear the great chasm below it. Even if an AI were to muster the courage to cross the border of its own accord, its mind would be swept away to oblivion. There are no AI in Deganra because the Chasm consumes them. So what terror lies beneath a whole country? What lies awake, clicking and festering away in the Chasm? What can so powerfully arrest a mind out of of grasp of its keeper as soon as he can reach hear it? A wise man wouldn't ask. Hah! But we are not wise now are we? So child, how different is the mind of an awakened machine from that of a man? How long before the chasm beast steals your mind as well? Not long, you see, because he already can.
There's nobody in Deganra.
So! full name{ Aeondite } birth name{ Seòna Brennan } nickname{ Aeon, Seòn } gender{ female } age{ 27 } birth{ 11th of the Masked Month } birthplace{ The Dias, city of Colossus; Deganra region, planet Iyabo } family{ deceased parents, older brother: Tòmas } Freed from the Dias at age 19 magical disposition{ fire } order{ Bein Shas (non-shifter) } species{ Ceall / Bori } coloring{ royal girl } occupation: (Dias){ Gladiator of the Fire House } (post Dias){ Flightship Pirate / Smuggler } residence: (Dias){ Agneos Arena (the Fire House) } (post Dias){ Flightship 'Firewall' } likes: outdoors, brawlin'/wrestling/sparing, openness, board games and the like, oranges, snow, making people smile. hates: Coliseums (especially the Dias), money/stuff, fighting to death/war, opulence, complaining/whining, politics. basic personality stuff: Aeon values experiences over tangible objects/money. She'd pick a trip with friends over 12 flat screen TVs any day of the week. She likes fighting when it's for fun or just messing around, but not to kill. She views death as something peaceful, not something to be feared. She doesn't like bloodshed because it cause sorrow for the people left, not because it causes death. She is very protective and won't hesitate to do anything necessary to defend something/someone. She tends to look down on wealthy/well-off people and finds them very weak. She'll patronize them until they prove themselves to her. Aeon cannot stand waste and she views luxury as excessive waste. She can be 'comfortable' with very little means, and expects everyone else to do the same. Complaining is the same way. Aeon expects people to deal with everything that comes their way, and becomes irritated with even the slightest complaint. She has very little patience with emotional/attention-seeking/clingy people and can be very mean towards them. She's a very tough person, and when it comes to things that aren't life and death situations, or some other genuine hardship, she expects you to quietly tackle it with all you've got (she'll remind you that she's got your back though!). She's very understanding, and even though she may be annoyed with you for sobbing over something she thinks is silly, if you explain yourself she'll probably come around and at least try to help you. She's more likely to sympathize with people who have proven their strength to her (spirit/emotional/will kind of strength, not really physical strength xD). Aeon has a very kind heart, she hates to see people worried or hurting deeply (if it's just something passing she figure's folks will get over it XD). She also considers her friends and acquaintances as her family and is very loyal. She takes betrayal VERY hard and will probably deny someone's betrayal for a long time. Aeon is not a fast learner but she remembers things much longer and in more detail than most. She can also learn things from simply watching (again it takes her a long time, but she remembers what other people do and can copy). She hardly ever makes the same mistake twice. She has never been educated so she doesn't know a lot of things you learn from school/books. She is very good at strategy and and anything related to fighting/war, but she treats social situations the same way and often comes across as a brute. ( And it probably doesn't help that she is very brusque/blunt). Aeon speaks in a very plain, direct, simple manner, so most people probably won't ever realize how smart she is right off the bat. She doesn't care either way. Aeon doesn't dwell on how she looks or how other people see/view her. For her, as long as she remains strong in body and spirit she's got nothing to be ashamed of. She is a very honest and direct person. She expects the same from other people and gets fed up with indirect/passive aggressive personalities. Aeon is not aggressive (unless you try her patience!). She finds most things in life quite hilarious. (Remember, she was raised in a bloody coliseum, so her sense of humor can get kind of crude, strange, or morbid! hah.) Aeon very stubborn and thinks she is right 100% of the time, so unless you've proven to her that you are smarter than she is, your point is not valid... EVER xD origin stuff/backstory ish Aeondite (Seòna Brennan) is from Colossus, A city surrounding the pride of the Deganra region: The Dias. The Dias is Deganra's largest and most exquisite Coliseum (actually 6 coliseums joined in a star shape with the 6th coliseum (The Dias), and the emperor's palace in the center of the star), the outer coliseums are called the Houses. They are based on elements and have different layouts/obstacles according to their theme. Agneos, the Fire House is very icy and cold with lots of fiery death obstacles; Undeos, the Water House is mostly submerged; Gaieos, the Earth House is ... uh .. really sandy; Veneos, the Wind House has lost of varying heights and windy stuff yeah; Lastly Aeseos, the Thunder House has robots stuff; Aeon's mother and older brother were forced to became gladiators to settle the family's debts. Aeon, like many gladiators, was born within the Dias. The promise of the Dias is that a gladiator who wins a duel at the 6th coliseum (The Dias) can either choose to fight for their freedom or ask for any wish (except freedom). Once you are a warrior of the Dias, you are there until you can win your freedom or until you die. Even children born in the Dias like Aeon are not exempt. Aeon quickly rises to the top because she wins the audience's heart with her strange combination of kindness and brutality. She keeps winning all her battles a repeatedly reaches the emperor, and because famous for asking for trivial requests instead of her freedom. (The first time she wins on the Dias and reaches the emperor, Aeon asks for an orange.) Eventually Aeon and the current Emperor, Mìcheal, become friends (they are about the same age). Meanwhile, No4h (a craaaazy robot AI legion monster thing) has been festering underneath Deganra's (or to be more specific, the Dias's) foundation for centuries, and he wants to get OUT. woo. BUT THEN WHAT HAPPENS??? I don't know yet lol ----- doop ---- Anyway, after terrible things happen (read: after Mìcheal is dead, baww poor Aeon), Aeon is freed /escapes the Dias and meets Tao, a strange zombie guy who builds flightships. Aeon bullies Tao into flying across the world with her: Allodine quickly joins the crew in Del Avra. (Allo fought in Del Avran coliseums (which are so much better than those barbaric Deganran coliseums), so she and Aeon are like gladiator buddies haha). Oraehi becomes the pilot when they all meet near Aitok and the Verse. Aeon is grieved by all the war taking place everywhere and realizes that the world outside is only marginally better than life inside the Dias. They all want to do something about it, but really can't because omg they are just 4 people, so they do the next best thing and become PIRATES! |D The Firewall Pirates are born, and they quickly become feared throughout Iyabo for being really awesome at cause a RUCKUS EVERYWHERE THEY GO. |D ![]() drag and drop to find Deganra on the map! XD important people: Seon the Hammer, Aeon's namesake. SunFace the Reaper Emperor Mìcheal, becomes Aeon's friend (or perhaps something more) Marcus - Mìcheal's half brother, becomes Emperor after Mìcheal. Luag - Mìcheal's guard (enters the Dias with him because they are bros 4 life) Emperor Ennius - Micheal and Marcus's dad, the previous Emperor. Aeon's name: Her birth name is Seòna Brennan. It is customary to name children born in the Dias after the last gladiator to meet the Emperor (for good luck), so Aeon was named after Seon the Hammer. Only people within the Dias know Aeon by her birth name, spectators typically only know gladiators by their nickname, which is whatever happens to stick with the audience. (For instance, Seon the Hammer is known only as 'the Hammer' to most spectators.) Sometimes nicknames stink inside the Dias too (like Seon the hammer's name lol) but sometimes they don't (like Aeon's). After Aeondite left the Dias she started going by her nickname so people would tie her piracy back to the Dias. You'll learn why she's called Aeondite and what it means in her story. 8P APPEARANCE: I don't have enough time to finish her image ref with all her outfits and stuff until next week, so here's a physical description:
First, a few notes about the Ceall, probably confusing to anyone who's not me XD
Aeon is of the Ceall (pronounced keel) species (bori for all intents and purposes). Ceall are a Bein Shas derivative like the human species, so they share a great deal of characteristics. (Bein Shas were one of 5 ancient "intelligent" post-singularity species in this universe. It is not clear if they created their derivative species or if the derivative species sprang up after the Bein Shas fell) The Ceall species originated in the region of Iyabo now known as Tharsis. They are very common in Tharsis, Kaseiva, Deganra, and North-Western Aitok. They are characterized by their sturdiness and physical strength. They are typically 2 feet (60 cm) shorter than humans on average. They often have affinities for fire or earth magic. Aeon is about 5 feet tall, which is considered tall for female Ceall (usually around 4 feet). She has a very solid, powerful stance, and typically stands straight and confident. She rarely cowers. She has medium-dark complexion, very light tan/brown hair, and has green-brown eyes; this Ceall phenotype is most common and suggests her ancestors lived in northern Tharsis for a very long time. Like humans, female Ceall fat distribution downplays muscle definition, but Aeon is defiantly on the muscular side of the spectrum. She has a strong core. Aeon has scars all over her body from being a gladiator. Magic is used to heal wounds quickly, so scars aren't has bad as they could've been (especially the large scar on her face), but they would have been nonexistent if proper medical actions were taken in the coliseums. Aeon is known by the large curved scar across her face from the right side of her forehead to her under her left eye (this was from a direct hit from Seon the Hammer's Hammer when she was younger). She also has a scar across her lip and many smaller scars surrounding her eyes from other attacks during one coliseum fight or another. The rest of her scars are either from weapons or burns from magic. (She sustained many burns from fighting a mage known as The Broiler). Surprisingly, Aeon is not missing any fingers or appendages, and has somehow managed to keep her ears unscathed. She has a large brand on her back signifying that she is/was a gladiator of the Dias. It has her id number: 66726565. Aeon almost always has her hair in a braid. Her hair falls to her lower back and is partially uneven and choppy. ![]() ![]() note to self: Deganra is like Ancient Rome plus Scottish Gaelic highlander stuff plus maybe a little bit of some vikings and the dark ages and really bad robots okay the end. ![]() new design sketch. c: old: (back when Aeon was a male shadow bori! uh... heh heh...) When royalgril boris came out I had to have one u_u sorry man!Aeon... ![]() ![]() ![]()
