Written Reviews Futago Visit l Owner First Impression 10/10 Your layout is very nice, but the size of the text is much too small, and I have to squint just to read it. Some of your headers are not very attractive, which makes me shy away from your layout. I will explain more about this in the Layout section. But your site is attractive overall, and the nice look of your layout really draws me away from those small little things. Layout 18/20 Yikes! That Neopets header makes a really bad impression on your layout. Simply put this code inside your style tags: table{background:none}. Now, onto your headers. When you space the text out that far, it makes the headers look weird. And, for instance, on your Updates column, the text is so far spaced out that it blends into the margin. That looks strange. And, on your suggestion box, that orange header is just completely random, and does not go with your color scheme. Moving onto the bigger picture (literally)! Your overall layout image is cute and inviting! It shows off your site's anime theme, yet it is very professional. Well done on your site's layout overall! Content 28/30 Most of your content is great! Your stamps are creative and cute, as are your banners! Your buttons are also very nice! You have lots of header options, which are very nice an unique. Maybe you could add some more font options, though. And maybe some animation options, too. But there are a few more things wrong with some of your icons, too. Some of the text you use on your icons is bland. Some examples are the eighth icon in the Death Note section, and the thirteenth icon in the Bleach section. But there are some icons, like the second icon in the Bleach section and the eighth icon in the Fruits Basket section are as spectacular as they can be! Concerning your art trades, I think that's a very original addition to your site! I like the idea that if someone draws you a lovely picture you make them a lovely custom graphic. At least they have to earn it! And your resources are great! Very helpful! Overall, you have great, great content! Very helpful, helpful indeed! Spelling/Grammar 9/10 I saw, in your resources section, on the Pixels header, Pixels is spelled pixles. Other than that I don't see any spelling/grammar mistakes. Originality 9/10 Your site is very original! I think that the art trading idea is unique and very creative! And your site name, that's a very interesting name! You get some extra points because you actually explained to your site's viewers why you chose the name Futago and what it means! But there are a lot of anime graphic sites out there, and maybe you could add some other graphics to your site as well. Neatness 10/10 I like how you put all of the different sections of your site on different petpages, yet all with the same layout! And, your site is very organized. The only thing I don't like is some of your headers (but I already elaborated on that in the Layout section). Sitely 5/5 I like how you set aside an entirely different petpage for your sitely things. You have lots of quality affiliates and you are listed at plenty places! And, although this doesn't count towards any points, but you have plenty of nice awards! Overall Score 94/100 Good job, Futago! You have a great site overall, just a few things to kink out! Read through this review and comb out all of the knots in this fine braid of site you have. (Yeah, I know, bad analogy! xD) Go pick up your award! (100-90) Bitten Cookie Visit l Owner First Impression 6/10 Your layout's is nice, a classic Exclusive. But the pink banner clashes with your layout badly. Really badly. And all of those borders around your buttons also makes a bad impression because it just looks unnatural. I will explain how to fix this in the Layout section. Layout 14/20 Like I mentioned in the First Impression section, your layout is nice, a classic Exclusive. But the pink banner is like painting over a gorgeous painting with plain black. And, the banner doesn't even have your site's name on it, or anything concerning your site! You can request a great banner from the following sites: The Goodie Box and Kiss of Beauty. I could even make you one, if you'd like. I like how you added the bow pixel, but you should change it to something like a star or a bullet, simply something smaller. It's much too big. Also, remember in the First Impression section when I mentioned all of those annoying button borders? Well there is an easy fix to that! Simply put this code (border=0) between the image URL and that last bracket at the end of your image code. Do that to all of the buttons on your site with that problem and to all of YOUR link back buttons. Then you'll be all set in the Layout department. Content 23/30 You have listed a lot of sites, but there are a few things you should fix in your Content. Firstly, for the site you think is the best of each category: you shouldn't name it the Best Site. You should call it the Most Recommended Site or something like that. Because you may think that one pixel site is the best in it's genre, and maybe I think it's a different site. Because just labeling a site the Best Site seems a bit rash. And, you shouldn't have your form to get listed in it's box on the side column, it should be in a text area on the main column under your rules to get listed, which you should move to the main column. Now, moving onto your links. They are fine, but the links themselves are bland. Spruce them up. Add some CSS to them to make them colorful and have cool effects. And then another thing: your genres for linking should in alphabetical order, not some sort of random order. It's weird for your navigation to be in alphabetical order but the genres to be in a random order. And you should add some links to your lookup and your neomail to your site navigation too, but at the bottom. Oh, and the introduction to your site; it needs A LOT OF WORK. It is very boring. Use a thesaurus to find some interesting words to spruce it up! Spelling/Grammar 4/10 I see a LOT of Spelling/Grammar mistakes on your site. A LOT. First of all, your name of your site should be capitalized in your site's introduction. It should be capitalized every time it is mentioned, really. Also, sometimes, whenever you list a site, you misspell the site's name. For instance, instead of Seabreeze Analysis, you typed Seabreaze Analysis. Wrong. And a lot of times, you didn't capitalize a proper noun or name or the word I. Check around your site for errors like that. Originality 3/10 I don't see anything that really makes your site pop. You have a Best Site feature, and not many directories have that, but other than that feature, you don't have anything that makes your site pop. Why not add a special feature? Neatness 6/10 Your site is overall neat, but there are some things here and there that make it look cluttered. Like, for instance, your affiliates' and listers' link back buttons are are scrolling. That's a big no-no. That look weird and you have to chase the button while it's scrolling by. And, like I mentioned earlier, you should have the genres of your listed sites in alphabetical order, not some random order. Sitely 5/5 You are listed at plenty of places, but you don't have many affiliates. Also, your link back buttons are not that great. You should request some nicer buttons from some nicer buttons request sites. Overall Score 66/100 Bitten Cookie, you have a lot of work to do before you can become a great directory! Fix up your site, and soon you'll be great! Moonsong Reviews Visit l Owner First Impression 7/10 A lovely layout, one of the nicest Exclusive layouts there is! But all of the borders around those buttons looks kind of weird. But overall the layout is very nice, so the impression is nice, overall. Layout 17/20 Like I mentioned in the First Impression section, your layout is nice, one of the best Exclusive has to offer! But you didn't even edit one of the headers, it reads Dreamy World Collection, as you probably know. It is very random to be up there. Now, moving on to something a bit more important: text areas! You didn't add any effects to them at all! So they are the plain, bland, ugly, default Neopets text areas! Add some CSS to your text areas! You can find the code to do that at this CSS guide! Other than those things, you layout is very nice! Content 21/30 Your criteria is nice, but you haven't reviewed any sites yet! I can't comment on your reviews all that much because I don't know HOW you review! Your site's introduction is cute, very creative and welcoming! There are a few spelling/grammar errors, but I won't take off any points for that in this section, since it isn't the Spelling/Grammar section, obviously. Your rules for reviewing seem fair enough. Since your site is small, you don't have a lot of content, and therefore I can't make this section all that huge, but, um, yeah. :P Spelling/Grammar 6/10 I see a LOT of Spelling/Grammar mistakes on your site. In your site's introduction, your site's name should be capitalized. It should be capitalized throughout the whole site, really. I don't see many Spelling mistakes, but a lot of Grammar mistakes. You didn't capitalize many words you should have though, like your site's title, the word I, and a lot of proper nouns you should have capitalized! Originality 5/10 You haven't reviewed anyone yet, so I wouldn't about your style of reviewing, but your layout is great, one that isn't used that often, so it's a bit more unique. But other than that, nothing really sets your site apart from all of the other review sites of Neopia. Neatness 7/10 Your site is a bit neat, your headers are cute and links functional, but your site isn't all that labeled. You should have a separate section of your site for you review rules and forms and criteria, it shouldn't all be cramped into one section. They should have their own sections. Overall Score 72/100 Well, Moonsong Reviews, you have quite a few things to work on with your site before you can become a wonderful review site! I notice bit and pieces of KTL coding, and while it is mixed in with some of your own nice graphics. Your color scheme is great, and I love the layout image you used! It's great, and your layout is really warm and inviting! Layout 17/20 Wow! Your layout is wonderful! The color scheme is great (as I mentioned in the First Impression section), and the image choice was a good one, too! I like the textures all over the banner, they are really interesting. But, you should edit you headers a little bit so that it isn't too obvious they came from KTL. But it's good you credited them, or people would have thought you stole. Maybe change the font size and margin size a bit? Also, you should add this code to your text area code: overflow-x:hidden;. That will take away that annoying scroll bar away from the bottom of your text areas. That will definitely make your text areas look better! Other than that, your layout is wonderful! Content 27/30 Your requesting rules are reasonable, and your form is thorough! You have lots of text options, and your animations option are fantastic! Plus, the gradient option is genius! And very pretty! And so are your buttons! You have great buttons and some really cool effects to match! But now, let's move onto the tutorials. You don't use images in your tutorials; you should! Some people are visual learners and don't do well by simply reading something. (I am one of those people) But that is really the only thing I didn't like about your content! You have really great content, high-quality stuff! Spelling/Grammar 10/10 I didn't see any Spelling/Grammar mistakes on your site! Great job! Originality 10/10 Your site is very original! If I were to see one of your buttons on I site I'd say "Hey, that button was made by No Tomorrow!" I haven't seen many sites with the button tutorial feature, and that is very helpful! Neatness 10/10 Your navigation links are cute, and I like how you have everything on the same petpage but it's on a different section. Well, almost everything. But your site is very organized! (100-90) Soroptimist Directory Visit l Owner First Impression 10/10 Your layout has a very chrome look to it, which goes nicely with your pirate theme. They just blend, don't they? It's a cute theme, pirates. Layout 19/20 Your layout is adorable, with all of the pirates and chrome on it. Adorable in the professional way, that is. Probably my favorite thing about your layout is one of the smallest, most unnoticed details: the cursive manuscript that is near-transparent in your scrolling boxes! And, also, you layout takes a long time to load. You should maybe cut back on so many images and coding to help your site load quicker. Also, you should use some more pirate-related images/pixels on your site. I know there aren't many out there, but you should make your own! Because all of the random pixels are while adorable, irrelevant. Content 28/30 If not the largest, on of the largest directories in Neopia, am I right? You have lots of sites, listed and you probably didn't invent it, but you got the whole recommended site feature started! You have lots of wonderful features of your site! But your Quick Inspection feature should go on your review site, The Elegant Court. And you should get rid of your Counter Notes section and put your counters and your counter notes in the credits section. And, if you don't have anyone on your "Hall of Shame" then there really isn't any need for one, is there? You can look at how the content on other sites is placed and get an idea of how your content should be placed. Also, on some of the buttons around your site, there are borders around those buttons, and they look ugly. Add the code border=0 to the end of the image code to make that border go away!
