Greetings
Hello and welcome to my cavern. You must have gone through many challenges to get here.
I hope just as much as you that this is worth my time. ![]() The Genie
I am, if you cannot tell by my appearance, a Draik. Contrary to popular belief, there are more
kinds of Draiks than the typical Western Meridell Draik.I, myself, am an Eastern Shenkuu Draik. I was born with incredible powers, and have discovered that I can do the most simplest of tasks without raising a finger; the most complicated with little effort. And, of course, my powers can be used to your advantage. For a price.
![]() The Legend
I was born around the time when humans first started to dwell in Neopia. It was the same time that many species of Neopets vanished and hid in fear of the new inhabitants. Draiks were one of the species who had fled, as well as many others that have been recently discovered. Others are still in hiding.I was to be a family of tourists' breakfast until their vacation was cut short due to natural disasters in Shenkuu, forcing them to evacuate. I hatched to find a burnt out camp fire, half-pitched tints, and various food wrappers. My shell was located next to pots, pans, and other cooking supplies. The campsite the family had been staying in was located on the side of one of the Shenkuu mountains where the cliffs weren't so steep. Unable to fly just yet, I slowly made my way to a cave in the mountain side. Whether it was natural or not didn't bother me. I made the cave my home, and because of my presence being there for so long, the cave gained a magical feeling as well, making my powers stronger while I was at home. I was then capable of changing sizes to scare off intruders and such. Though, keeping a larger size too far away from the cavern was more difficult than being near or actually in it. Though, even though the campsite was moved because of me being in the premises, there were still more humans who came to see me. This easily annoyed me, provoking me to terrorize the native villages neighboring my home. I was a threat to all of Shenkuu for many years. Though, one day a very wealthy prophet from one of the villages came to visit me with a large amount of gold and jewels. He bribed me with the riches and used a form of ancient sorcery to bind my being to his name. I was no longer capable of wreaking havoc or bringing fear to the hearts of the humans who angered me. Even though I was bound to this man's name I still had my powers, and eventually started to sell my magic to Shenkuu natives. For gold or anything of value I would grant individuals of Shenkuu their wildest and most sought after wishes. For many years I ran my business and gained the title of The Genie Dragon. As time passed, the man who had taken me over passed on and my freedom was inherited by someone I never met. The chain went on for centuries until one day I was greeted by a grey bat with a scroll. She introduced herself as Doirn, and claimed to have the document that deemed me hers. She returned to me my freedom and she returned to her home in The Lost Desert - with me at her side. I now live in a cave I burrowed out of a mountain near Doirn's home. I still run my commerce with people who are willing enough to pay me to grant their wishes, only now I can send fear into those who enrage me once more. ![]() Acceptable/Not Acceptable
You might ask yourself, "What kind of items would you except in exchange for my wish?" The answer is simple, really. Anything rare, expensive, and preferably shiny.
Here are some examples of what I will accept, as well as things I absolutely will not tolerate:
