Do not be intimidated by her name, as she is not as dark nor evil as it suggests. In fact, out of the 4 sisters, you will come to find she is the kindest and most shy.

Meet Aro. Though she is not the prettiest, or the fastest or most cunning, she is the brightest and the sweetest.

However, you must still proceed with caution, dear reader, because you don't know what she's capable of.

Origin: Belonged to an ancient sorcerer. Aro stole it from her old city. Because she is now the "owner" of the book, as no one else has claimed it after the sorcerer's death, Aro can summon the book to her anytime as long as she's alive.

Contents: Ancient magic spells, recipes for magic potions, as well as Aro's own scribbles and notes for modern day magic spells.

Use: Aro can summon the book from anywhere, since she has "ownership" over it.

(most magic items in this world have ownership spells cast on them. Once someone declares ownership on a magical item, it can be summoned anywhere and no one else can claim ownership until the original owner has died)

Because Aro is a "planner" in her sister's schemes, she uses the book to set up traps, escapes, etc. with her magic, since most take a while to prepare. In the rare cases, she can use magic in battle, most of which needs to be at a distance. Very few spells can be cast for close combat.

The majority of the book is written in an ancient language that is only readable to the owner, hence anyone who manages to acquire this book will not be able to comprehend it.

Personality: Miko, at first glance, seems to be a simple, cute and innocent little follower. However, Miko can sense trouble from far away.

Her feet and tail are overall very sensitive to changes in the environment, and she often rides on Aro's shoulder. When she senses danger or a threat, she quickly warns Aro.

Aro is a part of the famous four sisters. She is the youngest, alongside Vel, AJ, and Minu (in order from oldest to youngest).

The four sisters, on the surface, run a magic shop called The Moon and Stars. It focuses on telling fortunes, helping to ward off spirits, selling charms, symbolic items, and magic potions. It is a small shop of which their income is made.

However, the shop is not quite well known or popular, mostly because the sisters try to stay inconspicuous and mysterious so as not to attract unwanted attention.

In this shop:

Aro takes care of the potions, which do contain magic in them. However, she makes sure the magic in the potions are not strong enough to cause harm. In her free time while in the shop, she practices making stronger potions and other concoctions, as well as practicing and researching spells.

Minu is the main interaction with the customers as she has the best people skills. She offers her skills of fortune telling as well as pretending to read their palms and horoscopes. Though most of it is a sham, her fortune telling skills do have a little truth in them, as she uses the little magic she has with her crystal ball staff to read near-future events. Minu is good at reading faces and manipulating people to get what she wants, so often she gives the customer what they want to hear.

Vel takes outside jobs, as she cannot sit still in one spot. She mainly helps people who claim that spirits are inhabiting their homes and helps the spirits pass on, as she possesses the sword of death. When she is not off warding away spirits, she is out collecting ingredients, food, and other trinkets and runs other errands for her sisters.

AJ is rarely seen, mostly because she is watching you. She focuses on the security of her sisters as well as the shop, and wards away bad customers or those who are too suspicious. She and her pet Knight make a threatening team and should not be crossed. When she isn't out glaring at everyone, AJ may attempt to sell charms and other various trinkets or run errands.

Behind the scenes, the sisters also take on odd jobs, since their shop is located on the outskirts of the main city, and is small and unpopular, their income is not enough to support the four of them. There is also the fact that they must stay inconspicuous, so they can't do much advertising.

The jobs they take on range from small theft of innocent bystanders to large scale theft of the richer folk. It also includes conning, scamming, other various mischief, etc. Sometimes, others will hire the sisters to steal something or cause damage to a certain person's property. These are the only cases where they'll cause destruction on purpose.

During these jobs, Minu is often the distraction. She (and occasionally Vel, but never together) is the only one of the four sisters that anyone ever sees, however she often dons a wide variety of disguises to the point where the wanted poster makers are confused. Minu is good at manipulation and reading people's faces and can gather information as well as con them.

Aro does more "behind the scene" work. Sometimes she is out in the open as well, but because of her plain face, she is not very memorable. When she is out in the open, her job is to manipulate the emotions of others, usually to confusion or lessening feelings of worry and suspiciousness. Aro usually does the setup either for their job or for a quick getaway - namely mapping out the area, knowing where all the exits are, the best routes of escape in different situations, where the best hiding places are, etc. She basically keeps everything running smooth and organized.

Vel mostly disproves of these types of jobs because it is 'immoral', but does not hesitate to help her sisters out because her family to her is top priority. Therefore, she only jumps in when someone is in trouble. Vel serves in correcting things when things go wrong, or saving someone in danger. Usually it's Minu, who's trapped, Vel will barge in and save her, but usually causes a lot of destruction along the way.

Lastly, AJ does most of the cleanup of their operations. Sometimes she helps Aro in behind the scenes work and poses as another set of eyes to make sure things go smoothly. Sometimes she helps Vel and Minu in their escape. Her main work though is getting rid of evidence that may lead back to them. Because Vel and Minu are often messy in their works, AJ must clean up after them - she has a specialty in fire which can burn away things and leave no trace, not even ashes.

In summery:

Aro; In the shop, she creates magic potions and does research. On jobs, she plans the operation and uses magic to aid her sisters.

Vel; At the shop, people hire Vel to rid of spirits that are inhabiting their homes. On the job, she often works with Minu (close by or at a distance) and uses her strength and authoritarian aura to get her way with things. She is more of a last-minute saviour type.

AJ; At the shop, she is the security that makes sure her sisters don't reveal themselves, wards off bad customers and sketchy/suspicious people. On the job, she is responsible for covering all her sisters' tracks and erasing all the evidence.

In the Neopets world: Started off with a WN UC Mara Kau, traded for WN BD UC Grey Jubjub, then traded for an uncapped WN Magma Draik, which then traded for a WN Werelupe, which then traded for a DN UC Grey Kougra, which then was traded for Aro =). It was a bunch of bad trades in the end really, but I got what I wanted ^^!

Forced to walk away...

World: Floating in the space of time was a world named Evalain (EV-AH-LAY-N) - nicknamed the World of Colours because the lands could be seen from space in many lively hues. This world was named after the Goddess Evalain, who was known to be the deity of emotions and had created the world out of her feelings.

There is a central star that provides light. Floating around it are six colourful lands connected by space rivers which establish connection between the lands.

Divisions: The world was divided into the six main colours of Evalain – City of Amber, the City of Jade, Rouge City, City of Snow, the Azure Mountains, and the City of Violet [click map for a picture]

Energy: Each continent possessed a special stone that radiated colour throughout the lands, hence giving the lands their colourful appearance. These stones were the base of life and were heavily protected by the people of Evalain. Eventually, the main cities were built around these fascinating stones. These stones used people's emotions of happiness as energy and in return they fed the lands colour and life.

Rivers: The stones also fed the space rivers energy, which is what keeps them strong and able to connect between lands within space. Each land is connected to two of the closest lands, and between two lands flow two rivers (one in each direction). These rivers contained pure water for the living to drink and live off of. How they worked was that one flowed in one direction, then connected to a central pool in the other land and flowed back in the opposite direction, creating an endless cycle. This was a big method of transportation.

The only land that is not connected by the space rivers is the City of Snow, which is the closest to the central star. There is no life known on the City of Snow.

Poisoned (The Secret): The Leaders of the City of Violet, being the biggest continent and the most powerful, became greedy. They wanted to take over the other remaining lands, and came up with the idea of using the shared rivers to poison the other cities.

The Leaders (those that ruled the City of Violet) poisoned the rivers that travelled in the direction away from them. The substance poisoned the other lands and stopped all form of life. The poison then spread throughout the lands with the help of the stones' energy and poisoned those rivers connected to other lands – a chain reaction that eventually wiped out the other cities.

The City of Violet, knowing that the poison would eventually cycle back to them, blocked the rivers flowing in with barriers. The Leaders did not foresee the consequences of poisoning the waters and killing the rest of the lands, and soon, people of the City of violet began dying as well. This whole thing was a secret operation formulated by the Leaders – the people had no idea.

World's End: Water supply was getting short, and the Leaders refused to admit anything. Soon, magical beings entered the world in attempt to save it in the name of Evalain. They used the City of Violet's stone – the Violet Stone, to purify the poisoned waters. Afterwards, these beings gifted each person one gift that was classified into four categories:

Leadership and strength – to lead society forward and to support society

Beauty – to help society learn to coexist with other people and nature (because nature is the most beautiful thing)

Talents – to help build society upwards

Emotions – to keep society together and content, so that the stone can feed off of good energy and continue to purify the lands again.

• Each classification can branch off into different areas, especially the Talents. A strength can be something as simple as inner strength. Beauty does not have to be physical beauty – it can also be inner beauty, the ability to see beauty, or the ability to cooperate with nature. Talents can range from being able to multitask to predicting the future, and emotions can be from just being happy all the time or having a really great sense of humor to being able to manipulate other people's emotions.

Today: These mysterious beings called themselves Gifters who will forever help the citizens of Evalain rebuild what the Goddess Evalain made for them. Gifters will continue to bless newborns with one gift each until the world is right again.

The Leaders erased all plans and deny having anything to do with almost ending all life. The few who knew what the real truth was passed down the stories, which eventually formed 'The Underground' society.

Currently, the City of Violet remains the only city with life. Every other continent is remains lifeless because the stones are the only way one can purify those lands. Without energy to feed off of, those stones remain useless and the lands remain lifeless. It will take hundreds of years to find each stone, and many more centuries to rebuild Evalain's initial population and restore the energy of the special stones. Many leaders of the previous lands who had suspected the end attempted to evacuate their citizens to the City of Violet, which is why today the City of Violet is very populated and diverse.

Lucky and Tom

Lucky is one of the few who knows the sisters for what they truly are. She has the special ability with seeing things for their true nature using her left eye. Tom is her frequent companion. Lucky adores art while Tom adores music, and both don't stay in one place for too long.

Vixie and Xia

Before Aro joined up and reunited with her sisters, she lived in a shop with Vixie and Xia. Vixie was Xia's aunt, and they own a tailoring shop. Xia has the knack of fixing things (and knowing how just by looking at them) while Vixie was an amazing cook.

Old Artwork

This was Aro's original design, which was a simple potion maker working at a tea shop. One day, she encountered an evil spirit and traded in her sister's soul for the power of eternal youth and beauty, of which she poisoned her customers at the shop and absorbed their life and youth to add onto her own.

Originally named "Iro" as this was a character for another pet. The character was then transferred to Aro when I traded for her and the character has developed since to match with her sisters.
