--Welcome to the Redwall Pet Directory, young traveler. This is a guide of all the pets in Neopia (that we have found or who have applied) with Redwall names and names inspired by Redwall.
--You set out over a well-trod dirt path, heading north through these woods. You've been traveling for a long time, never once looking back. As dawn's first misty light touched the gray sky, you packed up your few belongings, hitched your nearly empty food pack up on your shoulders, and started walking once again, like the day before, humming a simple tune.
--Pretty soon you see something new appear over the horizon through the trees...a building of some sort. Stepping out of the woodlands, you see a spire rising above a magnificent red sandstone wall, the color of rose petals, glowing softly in the morning light. Green ivy holds on to the old bricks almost lovingly.
--You take a step closer in wonder at the sight. Then you notice a creature leaning slightly over the ramparts, watching you. It turns and disappears from view, leaving you curious. A few moments later the large door opens and a young mouse in a light blue habit appears.
--You shuffle your footpaws, "Hi.
--The mouse smiles, "Hello! I'm Abbess Theoramae. This is Redwall Abbey." She gestures at the building. "And you are...
--She cocks her head inquisitively and you tell her your name, stuttering nervously. Theoramae grins in a friendly manner and reaches for your paw, saying, "Welcome to Redwall, guest! We're about to have breakfast, won't you join us?
--You pat your lean stomach and take her paw, "I think I will, thank you.
--Theoramae leads you through the huge gate, exclaiming, "I'll introduce you to everyone!

--The Redwall Pet Directory is undergoing some renovations. This page will become the RPD Portal, with links to the directory, affiliates, and banners. The directory will then be located on my main account so I am able to update it more easily... and more often.
--The actual directory is temporarily located here. Please check back here soon for the upgraded RPD.

--I made a few changes already. xD To cut down on the number of images, I decided to have only one pet picture per species and I added a second page for more banners and the affiliates list.

--Welcome to the new Redwall Pet Directory! Meg felt she could no longer take proper care of the RPD and I volunteered to take over the page. I have created a new layout and made some modifications that I hope you like. Feel free to Neomail any comments or questions to me using the links to the left. I will begin accepting new pets on June 18, 2007. Also, for anyone with a banner linking to the old page (_MheraOttermaid_), please pick up a new banner. - Ray

--The Redwall Pet Directory was created by daisymeg91 with help from her guild. Here is the story in her own words:
--I am a huge fan of the Redwall series by Brian Jacques, and I'm completely addicted to Neopets. My idea.. hey, why not combine the two? Why not gather the pets of Redwall fans together in one place? I was very inspired by the countless pet directories listed in the Void, and decided that it was time for me to start learning html.
--At first I was just going to make a Lutari directory, for Lutaris with Redwall otter names, but then, of course, we would have about six pets listed. Eventually I decided to open it to all Redwaller pets and, with the help of my guild, I started this directory! It started out on another pet page at first, since the Lutaris weren't actually released yet. Then, when Lutari Day came unexpectedly, I got Mhera!
--On April 26th we finished the html and moved the page here. It has done nothing but grow since. I'm amazed at how far it's come. The unique thing is that any pet can join, so long as it has a Redwall name. It doesn't have to be a rare species, or an expensive color. I'm also rather proud to say that this was the first ever directory to list pets specifically by their name. Several other name-based directories have followed, but this was the first.
--I hope you enjoy this page, and that this will be a chance for you to meet other Redwall fans.
--Then just over a year later, Meg felt she could no longer take proper care of the directory and I volunteered to take over the RPD. The directory was transferred into my care shortly after on June 11, 2007.

--To have your pet added to the RPD, it must meet these requirements:
1. The pet MUST have a Redwall related name.
(If I cannot readily see how the name relates to Redwall, I ask that you explain the name to me.)
2. The pet MUST be on your own account.
(If you know of a Redwall-named pet that is not on your own account, you may Neomail me the name of the pet so that I can Neomail the owner. I will not add a pet without the owner's expressed permission.)
--If you meet those requirements, Neomail the following information to me:
- Pet's full name
- Pet's species
- Pet's gender
- Redwall character your pet is named after
- Whether the pet is a Lab Ray pet
- Petpet's name (if Redwall-named)
- Any additional info I may need
--(You may list as many pets as you wish. The contact links are on the sidebar.)
--Please link back to us by putting a banner or link on your pet's lookup, or even your own.

Is this a guild?
--Nope. It's just a list of Redwall-named pets.
Can my pet join this directory?
--Only if it has a Redwall related name.
Can my directory be an affiliate with yours?
--Yup. Just add one of my banners to yours and Neomail me.
Why haven't you responded to my Neomail yet?
--I probably haven't be online since you Neomailed me, or I'm too busy to reply. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. If I don't answer you after a week, I must've missed it altogether. I sometimes get a lot of events overnight and events tend to disappear while I'm going through them.

--o.o No. Firstly, use proper grammer and spelling when writing to me, please. And second... No. It's not a Redwall-named pet.
