There are countless tales that speak of brave adventurers gasping their last into the frigid air of the north. Those who survive, those who have not lost their voices to the deep cold speak of the strange peace that overcame their dying comrades and the last words they uttered before breathing their last in a burst of steam: "The bells. Do you hear them? Can you hear the music?"

One weary soul who had managed to escape the cold moments before it took his life insisted fervently that he had heard the music and more, encountered the creature from which the bells seemed to chime. "It was like nothing I've ever seen." He uttered earnestly. "A great dragon with wings like frost and antlers like a stag. A stag, I tell you! And bells, so many bells…" while he was at first laughingly silenced, every man who had faced death out on the ice told the same story.

Soon the antlered dragoness became a symbol in Arctic legend, an omen of death that came on icy claws, announced only by the gentle chime of sweet silver bells. They called her Aaerni.

What would it be like to be sightless? What would the world be like without the moon and the tide? These are what Aaerni's grey eyes became in the beginning of the Beginning, to conquer the blackness that followed the sun in the hopes of paying her own contribution to the day. She helped the flaming element despite the pain it caused her for her love the light. Despite her coldness she missed the heat.

The great dragons worked together to make the world whole, so that when the sun's eyes winked and vanished, Aaerni's moon shimmered down over the land she had helped create. But this did not come without great sacrifice. While Aaerni's gleaming grey eyes were put to use, shining over the world, the dragoness herself was sightless.

Once every moon, however, when the shining orb does not appear in the sky above, Aaerni rejoices in her ability to see the beauty of hr creation. For one night in every lunar cycle the dragoness is whole.

Can I use Aaerni design?
NO. Her design is completely original. My characters are intensely personal, stealing them is like stealing parts of me. Her pictures, story, design, etc etc etc are ALL mine. Stealing them is a punishable offence (:

How did you attach her petpetpet?
Crystal took an hour to attach ^^ you buy/find the petpetpet, select the pet with the petpet you want to partner with the petpetpet as your main, and then go to your inbox and refresh until the petpetpet disappears. This can take forever.

How did you come up with her story?
Though you couldn't tell by looking at me, I'm half Greek ^^ I've always had an obsession with Mythology, and particularly with Sirens. Aaerni was somewhat based on Hekate. If you don't know anything about the godess, look it up! She's fascinating. I wove my own life and emotions into Aaerni's story to create the gorgeous character you see in front of you ^^.
