It's summer in Neopia. Summer, means hot. Hot, means active. Active, means busy. And summer in the large city of Neopia is just that, and more.

Everywhere you look there are young neopians begging their owners for ice cream, older neopets hanging by the pool, and those who are smart hanging out under the shade of any tree they can find.

Fanning yourself, you make for the shelter of an Icee store, hoping to get some to cool you down. Not looking where you are going, however, you nearly bump into a kyrii standing at the end of the line.

Her fur is white, and a mane of pink runs down her back and makes up her tail. She is mumbling to herself, unaware that you are listening, "Its hot enough to roast a chicken...why I ever moved from Meridell, I'll never know..."

Turning, she glances at you. "Oh, hi. Sorry...the heat is killing me. Kyrii were never meant to live in these conditions..heh." She smirks, wiping beads of sweat from her forehead.

You nod. "I've always preferred the tropics myself, but then again I dont have fur." You laugh, and the kyrii raises her eyebrow at you so you shush quickly. "I'm guest, by the way. Nice to meet you." You extend your hand.

Grinning, the kyrii takes your hand in hers and pulls you into a hug. "Nice t'meet you, mate. I'm Aadius, but my friends usually call me Aadius." She pulls back from the hug and releases your hand. "Sorry. I tend to be a little overly friendly when meeting new people. Or maybe its just this heat getting to my head..." She looks up at the sky accussingly.

Suddenly, you hear a whistle and peer around the kyrii. The clerk is glaring at you, and waiting with a half-melted icee in his hand. "Uhhh..its your turn--" you start to say to her, but by the time you finish your sentence shes taken her icee and gone. Maybe you'll run into her again someday ;) Maybe not.
