Step One

1. Go to the Haunted Woods and click on the area on the right side of the screen where there is a bonfire and two carriages. (or click the image below)
2. Click the first button and read the comics up to chapter 1, or even further if you REALLY want to ;).

3. Click on the house indicated in the image below:

4. Once inside click on each of following co-ordinates:

To see the coordinates in order to chose the correct ones, look at the very end of the url in the lower left-hand corner of your web browser as you mouse over the image. When you click one of these you will eventually find a locket. The locket will NOT show up in your normal inventory (Click on the image of the locket below to go to your plot inventory)


5. Go to the Deserted Fairground and go to one of the following four games:
Cork Gun Gallery
Bagatelle
Coconut Shy
Halloween Scratch Cards
Refresh once on each page and check for a conversation at the bottom of each page until you get one; you may need to play the game once and then refresh to get the conversation to show up.

6. Once you have seen all four conversations, you have to visit them in this order: first, the person who says "Why, certainly, little miss" then go back to the fairground and go to the person who says "Amazing! I haven't seen such metalwork..." then to the person who says "That piece of junk?" and finally to the person who says "It looks familiar...". If you did this correctly the following statement will be added by Gilly, "Well, it's clear no one around here is going to help me. I wonder if there might be someone deeper in the woods who could identify this locket.

7. Go back to neovia and click on the path to the left indicated below:







Step Two

1. Go to Sophie's Shack and click on the button "Flee in Terror." On the next page click to enter the cave.



2. You need to wander through your 3x3 cave and find a room with a light in the middle. (there are two light rooms, so if the following step does not work, try it in the other light room)

3. Gather the following items and place them at these co-ordinates:

Lamp: 236, 225
Mirror: 238, 308
Chair: 225, 165
Food: anywhere in the room

Click in a space where there aren't any items or doors repetedly until the beast comes. If you successfully planted each item then the following occurs:


The mysterious, hulking creature stops and sniffs at the pile of rotten food on the floor. It picks up the food and eats it.

It seems to have an odd effect on the creature -- it's gotten all dizzy! It careens around the room.


The creature dizzily gazes at the chipped mirror -- and it seems terrified by its reflection! Whimpering, it turns and flees.


The creature doesn't look where it's going. It trips on the lamppost lying on the floor!


It falls toward the ground, and whacks its head on the chair.








Step Three

1. Return to Sophie's Shack. You will see a conversation and then you will be lead into the woods by clicking on "Begin Searching for Ilere."

2. Follow the path of the maze and look for a stick lying on the ground or in the bushes near the bottom of the image. Click on it to pick it up. Once you pick up the stick there will be a gray arrow on the bottom right corner of the image. Click it to see what items you carry. (The stick should be shown when you click on the gray arrow at this point)


3. Continue through the maze (keep in mind the maze is different for everyone) until you find a two headed Hissi.

4. Click the grey arrow to open up your inventory and click on the stick, then click on the hissi heads. Once you do so, a message appears at the top of the image and one of the two heads (pay attention to whether it says "right" or "left") tells a couple of lies. If the left head tells the lies, click on the small path curving to the right behing the hissi, and the path curving to the left if the right head tells the lies.

5. If you chose the correct path you will be taken to the "High Woods," the next level of the maze. Now search around for curled up vines and click on them to collect them (If you ever come to an area with no paths, just refresh the page to be sent to a new part of the woods). There are 5 different types of vines. Collect 6 of each type.

6. Now search for a clearing in the forest where the shadowy trees in the background are separated and there is a blue background in the middle (See image below)


7. Open up your inventory by clicking the gray arrow and click and drag some of each type of vines onto the ground (in the area inside the green circle in image above) then click on the hill to see if your rope is satisfactory. If your rope is not strong enough you will have to try again and use a combination of different types of vines until you get the message, "You tie your rope to a tree and toss it over the cliff. Click on the rope.

8. Now go to the games section of Neopets and play the Game Meepit Juice Break. Submit a score of 300+ (although some have gotten the juice with scores below 300) and then return to the woods. You will now have a glass of juice in your gray inventory. Find a meepit and attempt to feed it the juice. The message below will pop up and Sophie will turn the juice into ghost juice.


9. Now go around and feed all seven meepit's some juice and once you have all seven find the tree area pictured below and click and drop the meepits onto the lights.



10. The Meepits have four moods; Sad, content (with arms down), arms raised with smile, and finally they have a tapping foot and they dance. The Meepit is in the correct place once it is dancing. Re-arrange all of the meepits so they are all on their correct light (so they are all dancing) and a bright light appears (like in the image below) and you are telported to Ilere's Tree.








Step Four


1. Go and read chapter five.

2. Go to the game graveyard and scroll down to the bottom to go into the caretaker's vault.


3. Read the conversation and then go play a game of fetch on HARD difficulty.

4. Search for a pile of books that look like this:


5. After you find the book go back to the caretaker's vault.

6. Give the caretaker the books.






Step Five



The user Heavenest found the Spirit of Slumber's bones at around 6:20pm October 23rd. Yes, this means you can no longer dig :(
(according to Heavenest the people that dug up the grave were charliechee, bsihpj, danaken, and blackbudahfly)


1. Return to the Caretaker's Vault, read the conversation, and click "examine the graveyard lists.


2. Choose a graveyard. Now you have two choices: find potions for Sophie and examine bones, or dig up graves.

Grave-robbing:
Go to a grave in the graveyard except for graves that look like either of the following images:

When there are 4 pets at your grave, start digging! When digging you must take turns! Click "Dig" when your pet is in a red square, and "wait" when it is another pet! You will get kicked out if you are too slow or if you dig in the wrong order.

Potion Collecting/Bone Testing:
Click "Sure I can handle it. Which ingredient?" and then go to Sophie's Shack and click on the door to enter. There will be 26 potions, use the guide below to find your correct potion:

Now return to sophie and she will reward you: click continue. After a couple minutes it will say "take potion" under the image of the potion on the right: click it and then click "enter graveyard". Find a grave that looks like the following and click on it:
To calculate the number of drops, divide grams over cm cubed . Take this number and multiply it by itself. Then take that number and multiply it by 25, and voila!
The potion absorbs into the bone, and... nothing happens. Looks like this bone doesn't belong to the Spirit of Slumber. You gain 150 NP!





Step Six

This step was completed at about 8:20am NST 10/27. The spirit of slumbers name is Jubart Igig! Gilly suggested that the name is an anagram, and since she's a character from the game Eliv Thade, maybe we should trust her! :P


1. Go read part six of the comic and then go to the graveyard.

2. As you learned in the comic you now have to identify the Spirit of Slumber's name by checking off all of the other names of the deceased. To do this choose a graveyard to enter.

3. Now Find a grave that does NOT have a red marking on it like in the following picture, and clicking on it will bring up a page containing an image similar to the second image below. (remember, this was one of my people....your person's name and date of death will be different)


4. Memorize the name and month of death or copy/paste it somewhere and then hit "return to caretaker's vault

5. Click each shelf until a journal of names shows up. Now find their name on the list and click it....or if the exact name is not on there scroll to the bottom and go to the next page in the book to find it.

6. Now you can go back and try another grave!





Step Seven

1. Read part seven of the comic

2. Now head on over to Sophie's Shack.

3. You will now have to make a potion for Bruno to drink. You start out with three ingredients.
The ingredients to add (and the order to add them) are different for everyone, but the colors that the cauldron turns after each correct ingredient has been figured out.
Add an ingredient and if it turns to the next color in line from left to right in the images below, it is the correct item. If it does not, try other ingredients until it does. If you get the black goo just click continue and start again.


After You get the third correct ingredient added Bruno turns fuzzy like below!


4. Now you have to repeat the process with four items, and go through more colors. Use the same method, but the color list is as follows (from left to right)


After you complete THIS mixture, Bruno shrinks, and you get to enjoy some comic relief from Sophie!


5. Now you have to repeat the process for the third and last time, this time with five ingredients. This time the color chain is as follows:


After you complete this chain, you see bruno drinking the potion and then we are left with this huge cliffhanger.






Step Eight
All of the battling in this plot will be contained in this one step to save space.

November 1st
Part 9 of the comic has been released. Go read it and then go teach those gravestones who's boss!
November 3rd
Part 10 of the comic has been released. Go read it and then go chop down those trees!
November 6th
Part 11 has been released. Go read it and then go help Bruno fend off those mutant citizens!
November 7th
Three shadow challengers have appeared and are ready for battle. Now go "show them the light"!

November 17th
The Mayor of Neovia has stepped up to the plate. This is most likely the plot's final boss, however there is some crucial info you must acknowledge! You do not inflict damage in battle, it is subtracted from his hp but you cannot beat him if you can't one-shot him. As more players lose they still subtract hp from him so the later you try again the less hp he will have. Also, it is assumed that he has THREE stages or "forms" which was first realized through the three different images below:

Step Nine
1. Go read chapter 12

2. Go to Sophie's shack, read the conversation, and then click the door to enter Sophie's lab.

3. If you scroll down you will see Sophie's instructions which lists Quantity, Relevant property, and Target value. At the top of the page click "open basic ingredients cabinet" and click on the picture of one of the ingredients. Then enter how many grams it says you need at the bottom of the page (quantity) and hit "take basic ingredient." Now a box will pop up with the ingredient in it and a couple of options. Click one of the four choices (Burn, Crush, Soak, and Desiccate) and then wait for awhile and then either hit wait to see how long it has been going for or hit stop to stop and check how far your stat has increased. At the bottom of the page where it says a number and then +/- 5, the first number is what you want to get your ingredient's stat (Conjuring, Divination, Enchantment, Power) to. The +/- 5 means if the stat is five below or above the first number, it will still work fine.

I had some trouble myself with the next potions, so I dont exactly feel fit to guide you through the next steps, and im too lazy xD

Step Ten
1. Go read chapter 13 of the comic.

2. Go to Meepit Oaks Sanitorium for the Psychologically Fragile and click on the journal page on the desk, then the left-most lamp to pick it up (remember to always click continue, not your browser's back button).

3. Leave the room by clicking on the door and then navigate around until you find one of three rooms; a room with a chained zomutt, a room full of zombies, or a room with a skeleton of a scientist. If you enter the room with the zombies, click on one of them and Gilly beats them up, then pick up the journal page and then click on the janitor skeleton's pocket to find a gold key.

If you enter either of the other rooms before the zombie room, click the journal page in the room and then exit to look for the zombie room.

4. Once you get the key from the janitor skeleton's pocket search for the room with a locker and a scientist's skeleton. Click on the the skeleton's scientist big/lower pocket to find a journal page and then click the other for a key.

Next click the lock on the locker and the key will unlock it. Take the shovel and go back out to the courtyard.

5. Once in the courtyard click on the pile of leaves in the grass patch close to the doors at the top of the image and you will dig up a bone.


6. Take the bone by clicking on it after you have already dug it up, then go find the room with the chained zomutt. Once in the room, pick up the journal page if you haven't already and then click on the zomutt to give it the bone. Next click on the lock and you will enter the dungeons.

7. Enter each of the six doors and if it does not have a journal page slipped under the door exit by clicking the bottom of the image and try another door. Once you find out the right door pick up the journal page and then click on the lock.
