Dionísio
It was one of those really cold days in Roo Island. It was incredible how the weather changed so fast from November to December. In November, you could still see the dry orange leaves in the floor, and in December, there was just snow, all around the little Island.
When he woke up, the first thing he felt was his frozen nose, and he sighed. How he hated those extreme cold days! Dion loved to see the snow, it suits the Island, and the people look so much graceful in the winter, he really appreciates it, but the problem is, when the winter comes, he doesn't have enough money to buy cosy and warm coats to go through the season, making December a really hard month to go by.
He got up, took his glasses in the vanity and the towel in the chair, leaving to the bathroom. The big old house that the lenny lived was localised in the middle of the town. The rent was cheap because in that area the smell of sea was so strong that not even the natives could take it. A lot of the things in the house weren't his. This was amazing, since the money he made working in the local library was just enough to pay bills and food.
Around the house, there were loads of books, not novels or something like that, but philosophy, history, geography books. He had so many papers and old notebooks with annotations, the house looked like I think a teacher's house would look like. With his science-sort of books, he had the bible, and all the salms written separately. He enjoyed to spend time studying the Bible and the testaments and trying to make it work with the scientific
ones.
After his shower, he tried as much as possible to find nice sweaters that he could wear all day long, then, he left to the kitchen.
He looked around for the milk box, when he was about to open the fridge, he looked at Sister Eyah's picture. He smiled. She died a few years back, leaving him alone in this world. She was the most important person to him, she taught him to write and walk properly, plus, she taught everything she knew about the Bible. What kind of man would he be now if he had ever met her? He was grateful.

Dionísio was a mistake. His mother would lay with random men for money, so he shouldn't even be here right now. But she decided to save this child, giving him to a foster home. In the years that he lived there, he was a confuse kid, he didn't know what was right and what was wrong, since all the kids did all the kind of stuff. There was no respect, and the fosters just cared about the money they received to keep the children there.
When he got kicked out, he was completely lost, he didn't know where to go, mainly because he was never out of the foster care. He 'lived' with some homeless people in the bad side of the town for a while. Then, after a while, he discovered The church. When he first walked in, he was all by himself in that huge church. He didn't even know what a church was. So he just picked a sit and stayed there, looking at the colourful vitrals and the beautifully decorated ceiling.
After a few minutes, she saw him, sitting in the front row, looking at the altar. She asked him about his name, about his parents. And then, he was living with her and all the other nouns.
When she died he left, there was no reason to stay there, bothering the nouns. He still goes there and chats with everyone, to see how they are doing. And for the company he had for a long period of his life thanks to them
