A Pictionary & History

My Dad and I started this page because I love Petpets, but I could never figure out how many there were. The Petpet Puddle lists only those species that can be transformed with a Paintbrush. * And there are only 242 species listed in theAll The Petpets!" page which does not include rare Petpets.

We thought of starting a Gallery to collect all the Petpets, but we just can't afford that. So our best option was to make a Pictionary Pet Page. Here we've collected every single Petpet available through out Neopia!, including ultra rare, retired and un-released Petpets. This option also allows us to add comments and customize our data in ways that Galleries can't. This took months to put together but I learned a lot about Petpets and Web Design.

Each entry has the Petpets' Picture, Name, "Nickname" or Filename (if any), Shop where they can be bought or world they belong to and Birthday (if known). Birthdays in italics are my best guess based on PPL data. You can also go to What are Petpets? for a brief introduction.

The Shops The Neopian Petpet Shop was the first petpet shop to open on September 27, 2000 and introduced Fungree, Greeble, Flishy and others. But not all Petpets are available in the Shops. Some Petpets are awarded... for completing a Brain Tree Quest (r120) as prizes in Test Your Strength as prizes in Fruit Machine as prizes in Wheel of Misfortune or Wheel of Monotony for entering Redemption Codes obtained from real Neopets merchandise awarded as PLOT prizes (Curse of Maraqua, Altador Cup, etc) and are automatically Retired (r180) from Tarla's Shop of Mystery with some luck! as Random Event (such as Ghostkerchief) and from the Space Faerie Scratchcard (Premium accounts only) for an Orbulon. In this chart, next to each Petpets name is listed their RARITY Code, which indicates if that Petpet is currently active, retired, or restricted to special events. To further understand these codes, go to the HELP page and type inRARITY. Petpets are listed by the Neopian World that they belong to, NOT by shop. Other groups of Petpets are Lab Ray, Newbie Pack, and Cooking Pot (see below).

Replaced Maraquan Petpets After the destruction of Maraqua in 2001, many Maraquan Petpets (originally released Oct 2000) took refuge on Mystery Island where they found a new home in The Rock Pool.
