The sun blares down on you as you're walking across the dusty desert landscape, heading towards the village known on the other side. It's hot and lonely and you wish nightfall would hurry up so you can travel in the cool.
Are you lost? asks a voice to your side, and you look down to see a strange looking jackal trotting next to you and you instantly wonder how he can see with such long bangs covering his face.
You surpress your surprise and quickly shake your head, although taking a quick look around your surroundings you realise you actually are lost... and have to sigh.
The jackal grins with amusement and says at last, That's okay, I know the way. I'll keep you company he smiles and leads you in a different direction, On the way I can tell you about myself and this desert, if you like.
You smile in agreement and follow him further through the desert, listening quietly.
