A thicket of trees carefully formed the visage of a vast forest. It was quiet, solitude reaped the air in an unforgiving silence - proof that the forest was abandoned despite the small chipmunks skittering across the forest floor. Trudging deeper into the dank trees, the scenery gained a lovely hue of green as you approached the aroma of wood shavings, a breath of relief from the constant musty stench created from the tightly packed pine trees. Pushing away a final thicket of brush, your gaze falls upon the sight of a lovely farm, the cherry red barn resting precariously among the weeds. Thought beautiful, it's obvious nobody's tended this place for years, the mildly chipping paint a clear sign of this. You neared the farm, reaching out with careful fingers to carefully stroke the red wood...but you stop dead in your tracks. The mantra of paws hitting the dirt was growing closer, an agile shape hurtling through the trees to your left. A sheep dog looking lupe loomed a few feet away from you, haunting pupil-less gaze holding an air of curiosity. You bent down slowly, beckoning the creature with a few loving clicks of your tongue, but she didn't approach you. Instead, her features twisted into that of disdain, jaws parting slightly to reveal a salmon colored tongue. I'm fully able of communication, you know, She stated carefully, pulling her head back slightly in regard. She ignores your outstretched hand, sitting where she stood, her long bushy tail wrapped around her right flank. I'm Alert.. welcome.
