Unearthly Prince

The faint sound of a distant bell chiming, in tune with the waves of darkness as the haze of shadows passes over the darkened and shimmering wood. Few faint glows against this blackened canvas dot along the deeper hues and tones of blue. A wooden sign creeks on its chains over a door, half illuminated by the flickering flame that lingered in its casing. A tavern, resting lazily here upon the shore and looking out to that almost foreboding dock. The wood moaned slightly at a new weight as the waves clashed against wood and rock. the only interruption to this dreary symphony was the soft echo of footsteps, light and slow down this place where hundreds gathered by the mother of all life.
