Welcome guest! This is the Beauty Contest for the circus sponsored by ebilpink! Is your neopet worthy enough to win the title of most beautiful in the guild? If you you think so, then this is the opportunity to prove it! During this two week process, competitors will draw their spotlight neopet & send entries to liz. The whole guild will be involved when it comes to voting, so if this sounds like the kind of activity you can handle, let's begin with the rules! (:

entering your neopet?
After reading the rules & you're still interested in competing, there are some guidelines as to what you must include in your entry:
| A PICTURE OF YOUR NEOPET

- Make sure the image does not exceed the size of 400x400.
- It may be hand-drawn or on paint, gimp, etc.
- Please be sure to use PNG as the format of the image, as JPG or GIF makes the quality extremely distorted.
- It could be an animation of any sort.

| A SHORT STORY ABOUT YOUR PET
|
- Must be at least 2 paragraphs long (5 sentences each paragraph.)
- Include how your pet was obtained, relationships with friends/family, and goals.
- It can be in the point-of-view your neopet (first-person).

Entry #1 - MIdqual

MIdqual is twins with my other pet, Kergroa, and one day hopes to be painted grey. She's one of my permanent pets, and will always stay on my account. ^__^ I've tried to enter her in a few Beauty Contests, but each time she's lost, so hopefully she can win in the circus ! BC instead. xP MId may not be painted a very expensive color at the moment, but she means a lot to me. (: She and Kergroa are my favorites to draw in the BC.
The reason why the second letter of her name is captalized is because I was such a hurry in creating her that I didn't stop to double check that everything was correct. However, I still love her just the same. ^^ So, er yeah. This is a previous entry from the BC I entered a few months back; Midqual in human-ish form. =P

Donnie was the pet I created with my account; he goes with the name "Darko" as in Donnie Darko. He's super strong and smart already and loves loves LOVES dressing up (especially for Halloween). As soon as I get enough NP, he's going to be painted Zombie, and as soon as my account ages he will have a sister named Aeoshix, the pink Lupe! C:
Donnie has been with me through two guilds thus far: an AVALANCHE and the circus; he favors the latter, as do I. Some of his favorite things to do around Neopia are collect scratch cards and play games daily. He's especially good at Meerca Chase! He's my permanent favorite pet.

I was born on September 10, 2003 at 5 pm. Everyone calls me Kaybe, cause it's shorter XD. I enjoy long walks on the beach and banana smoothies. KI was painted by the Rainbow Fountain Faerie and Austine's first ever painted pet.
Now for my gorgeous story.
Ok, there I was, ordering a chokato muffin from a bakery in Neopia Central, minding my own business... UNTIL a group of RABID inch worms wearing ski masked walked into the establishment. "Okays," they proclaimed, "We cans be doing this the easy way or the hard way..."
The tallest of the worms pulled a rainbow gun from his back pocket. "PUT DA MONEY IN DA BAG AND NOBODIES GETS HURTS!"
The bakery turned into fright and panic as every neopet in the room fled and threw their money at the fiends...
NOT SO FAST!" I exlaimed to the villians. "I'M GOING TO STOP YOU!"
PFT," they scoffed, "Whats a baby kougra goings to dooo tooo usss?"
I only smiled, as I busted out some MAJOR KARATE FU SPINNY URBAN HANG GLIDING MOVES.
Well, I don't mean to brag, but I am pretty awesome. And oh, yeah, I should win this beauty thing, too. XD

The thunder boomed through out the sky. Lightning crashed through the cloudy sky. I was on a small island with my owner, Wumeiling. As we went into this strange metal building I saw a yellow Scorchio with wicked red ,and yellow swirly glasses. "Well hello Ms. Wumeiling, what can we do for you today?" said the yellow Scorchio.
I would like you to zap Ryrulu. I am getting tired of this green chia" said Wumeiling.
I can do that, but I can not guarantee that Ryrulu will change into something beautiful or exotic" said the yellow Scorchio.
I do not care, just please zap Ryrulu" snapped Wumeiling.
Well Ms. Greedy... alright, sign this form" said the yellow Scorchio sarcastically.
As my mom was signing the permission slip for me to get zapped for the first time my heart started to pound, my palms start to get sweaty, and my hair started to fall out.
There, I signed the form for the millionth time. Now please zap Ryrulu" said Wumeiling.
Alright, come on sweety, let's get you zapped" said the yellow Scorchio.
No please, por favor! Please, mommy do not let me do this! Please. AHHH!" I said in a panic tone.
After I got zapped my mom did not tell me anything, until I got home. My brothers and sisters started to laugh at me. They where very delirious neopets. They called me ugly, and fat, all because I turned into a Chokato Chia. I thought I was beautiful though. Shortly my mom agreed with my brother and sisters, and I was taken into the pound.
From there on I stayed in the pound for a month. I barely had enough food, and when people stopped to look at me, they just laughed. Suddenly after days of hearing laughter, it finally stopped. There was only silence. Suddenly a girl came up to me. This was a very awkward moment, because no laughter, just pure silence.
Hello cutie, what's your name?" said the anonymous stranger. "Oh your name is Ryrulu, beautiful!
I looked up when the anonymous stranger said the word, "beautiful". Then I started to blush.
Well, I am Cami. Would you like me to take you home?" asked Cami.
I nodded at Cami ,then she paid for me, and took me home. When I got to Cami's house I was greeted with friendly smiles. The baby named Banafy start to tug on my leaves, but I liked her.
From then on my life changed with Cami. She adored me, not like Wumeiling. Cami also told me that she wouldn't zap me, which I liked. I loved my new life, and hopefully if I do get zapped again I will turn into a Pea Chia (I heard that they are special. I could totally make Wumeiling jealous!).

Entry #5 - Vollt

The sun was already setting as a sigh escaped the creature's lips. He looked down at the ground, the wind blowing the blades of grass through his paws. As he looked up again, there in the sky was a single, brightly lit star. He raised his paw, as though attempting to bring himself closer to the dazzling light in the still pink sky, though relaxed again, and just stared at it in the sky.
A small grin formed on the Werelupe's muzzle as he sat back, staring at the star. Maybe this was where he truly was supposed to be. It seemed only days ago he was in the pound, terrified and surrounded by unfamiliar creatures. He'd just been a Blue Lupe then, and of course, no normal Neopian would want just a Blue Lupe. He wasn't even on level two; however, suddenly he was in the hands of Quoo. Still unfamiliar, he was startled when put together with Sleptry, the Kougra, and Superluff, a Mutated Kyrii. Soon enough he grew with them, and the memories of his pound life and prior faded.
Vollt blinked, staring at the star. The sky was growing darker. He almost chuckled with the memories and how he could have possibly been nervous with Quoo at first. Within a month, he became a Werelupe, and even rewarded her with an avatar. It had to be the best - he even sometimes considered himself the favourite. The only way he could be happier was perhaps to see Sleptry finally painted baby. For Vollt, he was easily the most appreciative Werelupe in all of Neopia.

Entry #6 - Highwaters

-"You're ugly! Your name is so lame! Ew!"-
Highwaters had to hear these comments throughout his whole childhood. He was never liked. All of the cooler kids thought he was weird because of his name. Little Highwaters never thought lItTle_BaBy_cutie1233 was a better name than his, but others thought differently.
One morning in the autumn of 2008, Highwaters went to go read the daily news on neopets. A new color was released- zombie! His heart jumped, this was a color he'd wanted to be since he was a little boy. He sprinted all the way to his neohome to tell his siblings. They all agreed that it was about time for Highwaters to be a wondrous color; labray time.
He shuffled all the way there, scared of becoming a uni or techo. The labray was pointed right in his direction. He held his breath and ZAP! The room was silent. Was he a uni? A lenny?
He felt a strange dryness on his arm and scratched the itch. A rotting bone replaced his elbow.
HOLY KAU! I'M FREEKING ZOMBIE!

I received permission from someone to use one of their pictures. Can I submit it as my enty?
This is an absolute NO. Everything you submit must be of your own work & time. It wouldn't be fair to the other contestants if you received votes for something you spent no time in doing.
I created an image of my pet, but I don't know how to send it to you! Help?
After making sure it's the correct size and format, go to an image uploader like photobucket or tinypic and upload your image there. (Photobucket requires registration, so use at your own risk.) Finally, neomail liz the URL of the image along with your story.
Sending my entry might be difficult for me to do through neomail, so can I put it on a petpage?
Absolutely! This is actually a lot faster for me to comprehend when receiving your entry. Just be sure to send me a link of the petpage you're using.
My entry is an animation and I can only use GIF as it's format. Is that fine?
That is fine, as most GIF animators require the image to be in GIF format anyways.
The picture of my pet I made is bigger than 400x400 px. How can I reduce it in size?
Some graphic programs can change the size of an image, like GIMP. However, I suggest you start off drawing using a 400x400 canvas so accidents like this won't happen. ;P
When voting begins, do votes from side accounts count?
Absolutely not. Please don't try voting from a side account or any account you created in the guild.
How will voting be taken place?
After receiving 5 entries, the deadline will be placed. Once the deadline has been reached, guild members can send their votes to liz (ebilpink) through neomail.
Can you vote more than once?
You can only vote for one pet each day. That means, you can vote for, let's say Pet #1 on Thursday, and then Pet #2 on Friday. You may vote as many days as you want (for any pet!) until the voting deadline has been reached. ;)
So that means I can vote for Pet #1 more than once, just once per day?
Yes ma'am/sir.
My entry is smaller than 400x400 px. Is that okay?
Of course it is! The maximum is 400x400. So anything smaller is perfectly fine. :D Just be sure that its big enough for people to see! You can make your pet any size. It will just be changed in size when I put it on this page. :D
May I enter a pet that's on my side account?
Yes you may, as long as you don't vote from that side account, it's fine. In addition, when you enter your side account pet, specify in your neomail that the pet your entering is on a side, not on your main. Be sure to include the side account's name.
What's our prize if we win the Beauty Contest?
That's a very good question! As it is in the Terms and Conditions that guilds cannot promise prizes for activities, we've decided if you win, you earn guild points. (Coming very soon!) And if that isn't enough, you'll be displayed forever in the Beauty Contest's Hall Of Fame. ;)
Can you enter the beauty contest more than once?
Yes you can. :D Just be sure that you don't enter the same picture twice, as that's not allowed.
