HAUNTED IS PRESENTLY CLOSED!

For the time being, I am closing Haunted. I am working on a brand new layout and will be adding several features (and colors) once it is complete. As I am spending most of my time trying to code the new layout, I do not have time to update this one. Please be patient, I'll have it up as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: Haunted will be moving when the new layout is applied. Please reset any bookmarks and/or buttons to /~Trouro. THANK YOU! :D

You've found it—the Graveyard. Hundreds upon thousands of tombstones dot the landscape before you, as do the subtle shimmer of ghosts and ghouls unknown. Shadows dart to and fro, despite unchanging light, and strange and frightening shapes move in and out of the gloom. This is where our…ah…residents make their mark, and permanently make themselves a part of the Haunted Woods' greatest tourist attraction.

Our resident's stones are divided first by species, then by color. To be taken directly to a species of your choice, simply place your hand on one of the stones below, and you will find yourself instantly whisked to that section (click the links).

Haunted lists five colors of pets—Hallowe'en, Ghost, Mutant, Zombie, and Transparent and they are listed in that order from left to right. While we love to see both converted and unconverted pets, we do not separate or acknowledge them in any special way in the directory. There really just aren't enough unconverted spooky pets to fuss over it. However, please take note that pets with the skull icon indicate that they are in my family. :D I'm a horrible braggart.

Would you like to make your mark and join the Haunted ranks? Have no fear (though perhaps you should), it's quite simple, just follow the rules and tips below!

Here at Haunted, we would really just love to fill the graveyard with the names of many spooky pets, so please, don't be afraid to submit more than one spooky pet. We are always happy to add another spook to the directory, and Witchy doesn't bite (even if some of her pets do), so don't be shy! And of course, we would much appreciate our current residents adding a button to their lookups or pet pages...show your spooky pride!

Dec. 4th 2010 -- Sorry for the long wait between updates. We had a slow period where we only received one or two submissions, and then they boomed again. :) Added all the new pets! Also added the new Hallowe'en Xweetok to our listing! If updates come slow in upcoming months, please forgive me. We're welcoming a new little bundle of joy into our family so I'll have my hands full! :D

Oct. 18th 2010 -- Added several new pets to the directory. Welcome new spooks!! :D

Sep. 24th 2010 -- Haunted is accepting a NEW color...that's right, Transparent is officially a spooky color! Added all the right images (although Skeiths are currently the only released pets in this color, of course). Also added several new additions (welcome to you all!) and updated the requirements to reflect the changes to the directory. Mutant Ogrin image is STILL broken, unfortunately. -kicks it-

Sep. 7th 2010 -- Added a new affiliate and several new pets! Also added the new Mutant Ogrin color (however the 1/1 and 1/3 images are currently broken for the Mutant Ogrin--TNT pwease fix our loveable Ogrins)! Hoping everyone is enjoying the new layout, and hope it isn't too confusing for everyone.

Aug. 19th 2010 -- Welcome to the new and improved Haunted! As I'm sure you can see, I've recoded the entire directory. We are now divided into three different pages--the about page, a list of all the petpets that are spooky/can be painted spooky, and the actual directory itself. This will give us more space to play with, along with help with slow loading times (and to keep my browser from freezing EVERY time I try to update the directory, UGH!). Here on the directory page, the only updates you will see from now on will be about this specific page--the directory itself. So when I add pets or update another part of this page, you'll see it posted here. Any updates to the other pages will be noted on those pages themselves. I hope you'll find this version of Haunted more streamlined, easier to navigate, and even more enjoyable than before! I've also added ALL the backlogged pets from the time while pet pages were down, and a new affiliate as well. :D

Shadow: Shadow pets are magnificent and mysterious. Many of them could be considered Spookies, but unfortunately we couldn't list them due to the fact that their colour is much too versatile. For those pets that walk in the shadows with the grand Shadow Usul, though, we tribute you!

Darigan: Darigan pets were one of the hardest not to add to the directory, but in the end I decided against it. Darigans can very much be considered Spooky, but in my own mind I see them as more "Evil-ish" than Spooky. So our hats and heads off to you, Darigans!

Snot: Just ask anyone with allergies or a cold and they'll tell you...mucus is evil. -grin- And while Meuka prooves that snot can be Spooky, I had to make a call, and unfortunately Snots just couldn't be added. But we love you, Snot pets, and we offer a non-tissue-lined handshake to you!
