Upon entering this room, Jin discovered it was a tiny kitchen. The room had dull, off-white tiling on the floor and all the basic kitchen accessories- a table off in the corner opposite the entrance, a fridge, a sink, a small stove, some empty counter space along the wall, and a line of cupboards above the sink and counters. A quick inspection revealed a few plastic cups and plates in the cupboards, and an empty fridge. He would have to go grocery shopping later.
Back in the living room, the trapped Biyako had stopped its clawing and instead started to push itself against the sides of the carrier. This didn't accomplish much, and after a few good hits, the carried tipped over and rolled over a few times, causing the petpet to roll with it. Defeated, the black and white creature lay down and licked at its paws in an annoyed fashion. When Jin re-emerged from the kitchen, the Biyako let out a small roar, this time succeeding in getting its owner's attention. Jin headed over to the carrier, wondering why the thing flipped over, and undid the latch.
Sorry… the pink boy mumbled, holding out a hand in an attempt to pet the small, striped creature. He had never been much of a pet person, but his friends had given him the Biyako as a going away gift, and Jin wanted to take good care of it.
The petpet, which Jin had yet to name, rejected his owner's apology, turning away from Jin's outstretched hand and running off to find a good hiding place to sulk. Shrugging it off, Jin decided to deal with the petpet later and went back to the task of examining his new home.
The living room that Jin was currently in was bigger than the kitchen, but still not all that impressive size wise. The floor was a fake hardwood, and the only furniture to be seen was a small couch, a coffee table, and side table, and a shelving unit off in the corner. Several boxes full of Jin's things had been delivered earlier that day, and were not sitting next to the shelving unit.
Done with the living room, Jin headed to the barely existent hall that was located opposite of the apartment entrance. The back of the hall was mostly taken up by door, which opened to small linen closet that had a few cheap, but new looking towels in it and a large blanket up on the very top shelf where Jin couldn't really even reach. To the right was the bathroom with pale blue walls and speckled tile flooring, containing all the basic bathroom necessities- a shower, a toilet and a sink. The final door of the apartment was located to his left, leading into what, in Jin's opinion, was probably the most important room in the apartment, that being his bedroom, of course.
Jin gave the door to his future room, which had already been partly open, a slight push and stood there as it opened up fully, as if trying to make his entrance into the room a little more dramatic. When he finally entered into the room, Jin scanned it quickly. The floor was covered in a faded blue carper, and the walls were a creamy shade of off white with a rather girly, floral border circling the room. A long, dark, wooden dresser was set against the wall that the entrance was in, and a shelving unit was located in the lower corner of the left wall, by the entrance. In the upper left corner there was a closet that was obviously built into the room, making it like a tiny room inside the bedroom. Besides the part taken up by the closet, the back wall was empty. A bed stuck out from the right wall, and a small nightstand that matched the dresser located next to it. The Biyako that had fled from Jin earlier had apparently chosen the bedroom as its hiding place, as it was currently napping away on the white sheets of the twin bed.

In the home he was raised in, Jin received a very good education and never had to worry about going without. His upbringing was rather strict though, and it reflects somewhat in his personality. Jin is a very serious xweetok, with a strong set of morals and he places a high value on education. A lot of time people find him distant, but he often just has a hard time making connections with people straight off the bat. When Jin does become close to someone, he tends to hold them very dear and can be very protective of people he considers friends. Most of the time, Jin is very cool, calm, and collected, and it takes a lot to make him angry, but if you do manage to upset him, he can be very aggressive. He enjoys both people and places that are calm and peaceful, and tends to shy away from loud or obnoxious things. Overall, Jin is a pleasant and intelligent person, and a good friend to have, if you are lucky enough to get close to him.
Jin came into the world on November 25th, in the land of Altador. The time, conditions, and home he was born in, however, is unknown to him. Unfortunately for Jin, his parents passed away when he was still very young. Sometime while he was still in his first few years of life, Jin was moved over to Shenkuu, where he was somewhat adopted into a home that housed nine other orphans, most of them also from different Neopian lands. Jin was much too young to remember his homeland, or even his move into his new home in Shenkuu, and has no information about the family he never knew. What exactly happened to his parents, and if he has any living relatives is a mystery to him.
Jin has never been one for pets, partly because he is not a petpet person, and partly because they weren't allowed in the home that he grew up in. However, once he signed up to become an exchange student, someone of companions pitched in and got Jin a nice little guy to take with him to his new home, so he would always have a friend with him and something to remind him of where he was from. Jin wasn't overly delighted when he got a petpet, and likewise, the Biyako he received wasn't too excited to now have a new owner. Jin named the little guy Tora, which means "tiger," and while the two got off to a rough start, they get along ok now. Normally, Jin allows Tora to roam around where ever he wants, so the petpet is always wandering off and getting into things. Tora has become a bit of a guard Biyako, and is known to "attack" people around Jin that it doesn't like. Being a cute little petpet, Tora can't do too much damage, save for tackle people and give them a few scratches, but it is the thought that counts. When he isn't exploring things or protecting Jin, Tora spends his time taking cat naps and prowling around, looking for things to chase.
