History

My Parents

My mother, Amethyst Wing, was a royal uni. Unlike most, who are pink, she was purple. A purple royal uni is believed to be incredibly royal and honored, almost sacred in her homeland, Shial. Because of this, she was the main target of the Dargarians when they attacked. She was kidnapped, and held for 'ransom'.
My father, Dark Fin was a Dargarian peophin. He was one of the fiercest and ruthless warriors, and was often called upon for battle. When he was asked to help kidnap the princess of Shial, he eagerly accepted.
The Dargarian forces snuck into Shial and my father into the castle along with the commander of his section of the army. They captured the princess, slaying anyone who stood in their way without a second thought.
The princess was imprisoned in a dank and dirty prison cell thousands of feet underground. The guards' sole entertainment was seeing how much they could torture her without her fainting. She was malnourished and sick from the poor living conditions, and still her captor would not take any measures to ensure her survival.
A note with the ransom information was sent to Shial. The King and queen sent a hasty reply, saying that they would send the money. When it was received, by none other than my father's commander, he laughed, and told my father his plan:
When the ransom fee is received, we will kill the bearer and, after finding out all we can from the princess by means of torture, we will kill her also."
My father laughed, looking forward to it.

The ransom was sent the next day, the bearer none other than my mother's brother, the eldest prince. Suspecting that it was not as easy as it seemed, he had five of his best knights follow him silently, keeping hidden should problems arise. They did.
When he arrived, he demanded to see the princess before he would give up the ransom fee. She was brought out in chains, right wing broken, wounds covered in dirt, oozing blood, and other signs of the torture she had endured. The prince, horrified, ran to her, but was attacked and captured. The knights sprung into action. They fought gallantly, but nothing could be done.
As the dargarians prepared to kill him, my father saw my mother. The only times he had ever fought were in battles, where he was being attacked as he was attacking. He had never before hurt an innocent, helpless creature. When he saw my mother, defenseless, scared, and dying from torture, he had a change of heart. While attention was on the prince, he snuck up behind the Eyrie holding my mothers chains, and slit his throat. Father gave my mother a potion that allowed her to breathe underwater, and pulled her into the river that ran past the dargarian castle.
My father swam faster than he ever had before. He knew that the alarm would soon be raised, and that if they were caught, the torture my mother had endured would seem like a scratch compared to what would be done to him, a traitor. He swam for three hours, trying to find a place to stop and rest that would hide them from the pursuing Dargarian army. He spotted a small island about a mile away, covered with foliage. Using his last bit of strength, he made it to shore, dragging my mother behind him. They collapsed on the beach, exhausted.
Father tended as best he could to my mother's wounds, washing them and wrapping them in the seaweed that grew near the island. Then he slid back into the water, my mother behind him. He swam slower for this stretch of their pursuit, trying to find a spot to live, even for just a few months. He found such a place halfway through the day. As he was swimming, he spotted a thin, ring-shaped piece of land, with a river flowing around the inside, forming a small, round island. Curious, he swam over, and found that the riverbed was made of sharp amethyst that would keep enemies at bay. He began to swim around the island, looking for an easy way to bring my mother onto the island without hurting her even more. About halfway around, he spotted a gap in the amethyst. He pulled my mother through, and tumbled onto the floor of a large cave, filled not with water, but with air.

Well that's a surprise!" said a musical voice from the far side of the cave, "Not many neopians find their way this far from land!"
My father spun around, snarling, ready for a fight. "Calm down, I'm not going to kill you!" The voice said, "Now, how did you get here?"
A wolf the color of soot stepped out from the shadows. He had two white paws, and ice blue eyes filled with concern. "You two don't look so well, what happened?" He asked.
My father explained, and the wolf told him to wait there. He did, and tried to wake my moter, who had fallen asleep halfway through their swim.
The wolf returned a few minutes later with a pouch of herbs and food. He set it down, offering some berries to my father, and hen immediately started cleaning and dressing my mother's wounds.

  • Appearance: Light purple fur with darker, dargarian peophin-like mane and tail. Horn, hooves, and fins in similar colors. Wing feathers are a variety of shades of purple, darkest feathers have white stripes. Fins on legs and under ears.
  • Accessories: Tan cape with dream catcher on chestband, Tiara like chocolate Fyora's crown, Brown and white striped feather in mane.
  • Personality: Kind and fun-loving, but at times can be very shy or serious.
  • Love: None yet, but will consider either peophins or unis...

Abilities:
  • Magic: Able to use some water and dark magic, but studies and specializes in air magic and the magic of the royal families.
  • Flight: Can fly and breathe up to about 10,000 ft.
  • Swimming: Can breathe underwater and swim exceptionally, due to peophin ancestry.
  • Other: Extremely intelligent and cunning.

Silver Wing

Silver Wing is my white Juma. Her wings are tipped with silver, and they are so sharp that they can slice air. She has webbed toes, allowing her to swim very well. She enjoys the water almost as much as me, and I am beginning to think she has maraquan heritage. She controls water and ice magic, and is a fearsome opponent in any battle. I rescued her from a forest fire when she was a kit, and she has never left my side since.

Family & Friends

Dieichi:
Dieichi was my apprentice. When I found him, he had just been weaned, and he was dying from poison. I nursed him back to health, and he is now my best friend in the Amethyst Island Herd. He has grown ino quite a stallion.

Amethyst Wing (Deceased):
Amethyst Wing was my mother. She was a purple royal uni. She was kind, compassionate, and loyal. Until she was kidnapped, she lived on the island of Marada, a small kingdom off the coast of Meridell. After she escaped, she lived on Amethyst island, the closest island to Maraqua. She once lead the Amethyst island herd.

Dark Fin (Deceased):
Dark Fin is my father. He is a dargarian peophin. He was once the most infamous, ruthless, and cruel member of the Dargarian army. After he saved my mother and escaped with her, he lived on Amethyst island with my mother to help raise me. He was not as kind as my mother, but he was wise and taught me may things. He left when I was two to save a Lupe from the Dargarians, but was captured and killed for deserting the army and helping my mother.
