Welcome, Zoon, to my application for Verivaahtera! (If you're not Zoon, then welcome, creeper!)
I was in no way, shape, or form forced to make this application by Zoon. (Or anyone else, for that matter.) I did it out of my own free will.

EEERRRKKKKK!
You raise your head and watch out the window as your train comes to a slow stop. Out of the window a sign reads "Welcome to the Plaza, est. 1937." This must be it, you think. With that, you stand up, and, grabbing your suitcase from the overhead compartment, head out of the train. 10 minutes later, you arrive at your hotel. The clerk gets your keys.
You'll be staying in room 214, on the second floor, she says, handing them to you.
You nod and take them from her hand. You make your way across the lobby and then take the elevator to floor 2. As you walk down the hallway looking for your room, you count them in your head: 211..212..213- aha! Room 214! You unlock your door an step inside. It's god-awfully hot and not the best hotel, but it'll do for the week you're staying.
Why the heck is it so hot? you wonder aloud. It sure wasn't this hot when you got off the train. Just then you hear a scream. Running to the window, you push open the heavy shades and peer out side. All of the people out on the street are running. It almost looks as if they're being...chased. You smush your head up against the window to get a better look at just what is going on. And then you see it. A wall of fire moving quickly and steadily toward the plaza. As you stumble back from the window in shock, the alarm bell begins to ring:
ding, dong, ding, dong. The sound echos over the city.
It has begun.
WOAH. HOLD UP. We're getting ahead of ourselves. We'll come back to this later.

I am currently 15-going-on-16, and avid (amateur) photographer. In my free time I like to draw and paint. I dabble in writing, too, (but not much.) One thing I don't do is roleplay. I've never really seen the appeal for it. :l
I admit, I'm not as addicted to neo as I used to be, but I do check in almost every day, especially now that summer is upon us! I actually recently came back from a semi-hiatus, mostly because I had nothing to draw/code. Therefore, please ignore most petpage/description content (if you've been creepin') as most of it is a coupla' months old. (:
Also, this semi-hiatus got me off my butt, and I've been adopting out some of my pets. There are more I may put UFA, but I didn't think I could handle the apps.. (: Therefore when you reach the family portion of my application and notice that not all of my pets are in it, this is the reason why.

Ah yes, my neo-family. It's quite large you know.
Jaqules is a sweet, handsome boy. However, he does have a bit of a mischevious side, and can be quite cunning. Yes- he has had a hand in many pranks and practical jokes, but he's never been caught. He's also quite the charmer and loves to woo the ladies with his good looks and charm. I saved up my neopoints, and one day I decided I wanted a usuki usul. I created Jaqules and hand-painted him on November 19 2009.
Karozinei was a pet that I lust over for almost a year. I originally applied for another desert gelert, by the name of rryji, but a couple of weeks before the deadline, my friend Jessi (_ilovethewholeworld_) gave me Karo as a super awesome amazing present! Karo is the princess of the lost desert. Her mother died when she was very young and in her teenage years her stepmother poisoned her father, the king. Karo ran away- afraid to meet the same end of her father. She is currently looking for a way to dethrone her stepmother and take her rightful place as heir so that she can lead The Lost Desert into a new era of peace and prosperity.
I adopted Skipolas back in 2009, and although he was a bit of an impulse, i've come to really love him. Skip is a wild being. He lives deep in the forests of Neopia and is a very shy, reclusive creature. At one point he belonged to a clan of other xweetoks but a terrible disaster occurred, separating him from them. He never saw them again, and has become very lonely.
Tharelle was the pet that I wanted most about a year ago. I guess you could use the phrase 'dream pet' but I dislike that term. Anyway, after a lot of fruitless applying for various other xwees it became clear that I was going to have to save up for the brush myself. However, when I was on the PC one day someone offered her on a pet I'd been planning to give away anyway, so I immediately accepted and she's been with us ever since. Tharelle is a sprite who lives in the tops of the trees of forests. She tends to the animals and plants that thrive there and is essentially the forest's caretaker an guardian. Tharelle is a kind spirit, and although she is very small, she does many large tasks to help preserve the forests.
Malanoo is a very mellow guy. He originally hails from the Lost Desert but ran away at the age of 14 to join the traveling gypsy clans. A few years later he left his clan and went on a journey of self discovery. Anoo is currently in shenku, meditating with other monks to try to reach enlightenment. I traded for Mal back in November 2009 and he's been a permanent part of my neo-fam since then (:
Ohder is a pet I actually just adopted. I fell in love with his name and his previous owner had him UFQA so I snatched him up. (: Since he's so new, Ohder doesn't have much of a character right now, but my thoughts were that he could be Jaqules's noble steed. He was named due to an unfortunate smell that never seems to go away, thus 'Ohder' Haha haha GET IT? x3 Erm yeah, moving on..
Oh goodness. Zyciar. I don't even know. I've had him forever. He's never really had much of a character, although I have contemplated him being a mad scientist. He spends his days in a windowless room trying to do impossible things with questionable liquids and potions. That's my boy! ;)
Alright, alright, so I lied. My neo family isn't that big. It sure is a lot smaller that it used to be, but until I'm done fostering, I don't have a ton of room to make it grow. (Room enough for Vera, though! ;D) So now that you've met the family. What did you think? Mhhmm.. mhmm! very good. Okay, moving on now..

First thing first- her color. There I said it. I want to adopt her because of her color. That's not the only reason, but it does play a big part.
Let me tell you a little story. I was browsing Neopound just for fun and while looking through the aisha section I happened upon Vera. Now, aishas have always been a favorite of mine (I have to cats in real life, and they remind me of aishas,) so when I saw her those little bells in my head went off and I immediately clicked on the link. I was even happier when I learned she doesn't have 'clothes.' Personally, I think it looks kind of stupid when the alien aishas are wearing that big chunky space helmet/suit combo. Another thing that drew me in was her name- well, not her full name but rather the nickname I could give her. Vera. Vera. VERA. Doesn't that just seem like a perfect name for a princess from space. Wha-? Oh shhh, pretend you didn't just read that. (; *ahem* There is one more thing that finalized my decision and my sudden story idea. I was listening to a song buy one of my favorite bands, Florence and the Machine called Cosmic Love, and as I was looking at her, I heard "A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes." Needless to say, my brain went DING! and that was the end of all my doubt. Aw jeez. I did it again. Well forget about what you just read. Because I kinda just gave away part of my story. (x

Now, I admit, this is my least favorite part of the application process, but I will do my best. Like any other applicant yes, I promise to keep her well fed and happy. I pledge that if I am chosen, I, Izzy , pledge to be the best owner I can be for my new Neopet, Vera. I understand all the sadness that she has already been through, and so I will provide everything she needs to be happy. I promise to be a friend to my new Neopet and never put her through the pain of neglect or abandonment again. (That's the TNO Pledge of Good Ownership in case you didn't know)
Also, there's the dedication factor. Yes, i have just come back from a long hiatus and haven't had a chance to dig out all my old coding and revamp my petpages, etc, but I do plan on it. Each of my permanent pets gets a pet lookup, most of them get a petpage (unless I need them to host something else, like an art or guild page,) and I tend to draw them when I'm bored. I have entered the BC a couple of times but I've never actually won. Maybe with Vera I'll be lucky? (: She would get minimal customization- a background, maybe a trinket and a collar. Nothing much. To be truthful, I've never really supported the whole Viacom-customization scheme. :l I definitely will not be paying in anything but neopoints. (: However, I think backgrounds are nice. One other thing I would like to give Vera is a petpet, probably a Blobagus or a Shocket. :D
Basically, I'm trying to tell you that if I were to adopt Vera, she would have a good home with me. I hope that you take that into account.
