~Dec. 14th/ With Christmas, a waining interest and a very annoying problem looming over my head, the Clan Publication is out of publication. This will still be here and all, but I don't know when I will make a new issue. Sorry.

~Nov. 30th/ New issue. NO time. Finish it all later. Will send neomails to those who should get awards. Later.

~Nov. 10th/ Whoah, major updates. Check out the new submitting intro, the cool personnel section and of course the new Friends of the Publication. Not to mention that lovely updater to your left...

~Nov. 1st/ There is always a lull in me after I publish an issue. The last few days of frantic worrying are over. And I am left with a thin feeling of what I want to do for the next one. But then, I'm also sick of it. So today, here is a little Arasine, in his section.

~~27th/ And all this time, I had thought I had changed the links on the clickies... but I hadn't. It's a little weird, I was pretty sure I had. Oh, well, it's done now.

~~24th/ Hey, things are coming together for the next issue. I've been slacking off a bit, but I will work hard now, so that I can get it out in time. Still looking for that Tale of Woe art, and petpages for the n ext Advertisment section!

~~23rd/ I'm looking for art of the Tale of Woe plot to be on the cover of the next issue. If you have some, I would love to see it. I'm also looking for a good set of makeables.

~~19th/ Yes, the links are working properly now, and we are starting on the next issue, due date: circa Oct. 31st. Also Note: The links have been changed from linking melzvenz's lookup to here. We've decided that that would probably work better, and when tCp changes pages, there will be a link there from here. A little less confusing.

It's here, the very first issue, and it's yours, absolutely free, as they all will be.
Due to time constrants, this month's issue is not coded, but an image. You must understand how much easier it is to do this than all that coding. Future Issues might be either way.

Submitting to The Clan Publication
NOTE: This has been recently revamped, Nov. 10th 2006.
The Catagories listed below re merely idea of what we do, or what we would like to do. Feel free to suggest anything that might go in the Publication. You might have thought of something we haven't as of yet.
Everyone named in the tCp will be notified once it is published. Only those who are mentioned on the cover will be given the wooden award (being mention on the cover is a debatable issue, I decide what counts or not). Anyone else will have the chance to receive the clickie award. See Awards Section. Also, in the future, we may have 'themed' Publications. They may be in step with the Neopian Calendar of events, but I don't see that likely. As of now there are no plans, but check back and if you have something special under the theme, please submit.
Due to the flexible nature of the Publication, sometimes certain categories will not be published in each issue, or they will be merged with other categories.

So, you want to submit something. Neomail Melz, see the lovely neomail image to your left, click on it and it will open up into a new window, isn't that nice? You can submit some of your own work, or someone else's who you think is spectacular. What I mean by 'submitting' is just calling it to my attention. Give me a link, what you think it should be used or, and I'm off on it. Please do!I truly mean it when I say I want you to do this. I can only see so many petpages, and I would like to feature obscure petpages. To give some people a boost, however, it's somewhat hard to find them. Want to become a Friend of the Publication? Here is the 'categories':

Advertisements (petpages):
An award will not be received for this award for this, but your clickie/patch will be featured in the advertisement section. (There isn't on the first issue, but there will be on future Publications.

Cover Art:
The decided image will appear on the cover of tCp, and the subject and/or artist will have a brief article about it in the 'Cover Art' section, which possible might be blended with either the Featured User or Featured Pet. The Cover Art artist can see the finished cover before it is publish. I must have the artist approval to include their image on the tCp, which includes awards and links. However the policy of previewing has been dropped.
What I look for in Cover Art is Excellence in Art. That's practically all that is required. Of course, it must be neopets related (or a user's self drawing, if the circumstances demand). Unique Design are also looked for, but not necessary.

Featured User:
Featured user will have an article about them, which will be written after an 'interview' via neomail. Featured User can be blended with Cover Art. The Policy of previewing Publication before it is publish, has been dropped.
Feaured User brings attention to a user who has special talent, whether it is Art, Story Writing, HTMl/CSS or anything else.

Featured Pet:
Featured Pets will have an article about them, with information gleaned from their petpage and/or look-up. Or 'interview' with them or their owner. A Featured Pet's owner can see the finished Publication before it is publish, to check if they agree with what is said about their pets. Featured Pet might be blended with Featured PetPage.
Featured Pet celebrates the character of a pet. Things I look for are Good Design, Interesting Character, and of course, Uniqueness.

Featured PetPage:
Featured Petpages will have an article about them, with information gleaned from their petpage. A Featured Pet's owner can see the finished Publication before it is publish, to check if they agree with what is said about their pets.
Feature Petpage is focused on excellent petpage. Highlights are HTML Design, User Friendly, Informative, and Unique. Art, pet character or design will also gain you a good push of approval. A Featured Petpage might be blended with the Featured Pet.

Helpful Pet Page (help pages and/or directories)
A variation of the above, featuring a petpage that hold useful information. Read the first paragraph from above, and then this one here:
What I look for in this category is, obviously, a helpful pet page. Good Design adds points, as well as User Friendly.

Adoptables/Makeables
A featured adoptable for any species, and to some extinct objects. Faeries are also expectable. I require them to be either non-affiliated or related to neopets (Examples: Candles and feathers are non-affiliated objects, and are acceptable. Slorgs and korbats are acceptable. Pokemon characters are not.) Features Adoptables will be informed beforehand, because it might cause an unwanted flood of requests (if tCp gets bigger that is…).
Featured Adoptables/Makeables celebrate well drawn images, with unique ideas. If you have all the available colors made (all the available colors for the type of neopets your doing, if it is a neopets), your chances will be higher with the more you have. Also, if you are willing to do requests, this will be overly welcome. (Note: If your adoptable is going to be featured, I might ask you to make a request adoptable of the Featured Pet or subject of the Cover Art.

Comic:
If you have a comic that just won't get published in the Neopian Times, I know how you feel. You spend a lot of time on that, and it seems like a waste. Well, you an always have it published here. It is in this category that I most approve of contacting me. A comic will probably not be seen on the cover, but even if it is not, you will still receive the award.
What I look for in a comic: Good Art, Funny, Designed Well, CLEAN! and Uniqueness. All comics must be Neopets Related. Comic will be miniaturized, and the viewer can click and drag it into the browsers address bar, and see it full size there.

Featured Guild:
This is a very iffy category. If you think you have something worth noticing, contact us. But in the end, probably only the best of anything will be in this category, if it continues at all.

Friends of the Clan Publication
Oh, this is new!
The Friends will be my extra sets of eyes (and ears) across Neopia. I can only see some many petpages, especially with time constraints. I would love to have this type of helpers.
What would you do? Just as you travel across Neopia, keep track of the people, pets or petpages that you think are cool/talented/brilliant/unique/helpful or whatever. You might already do this (then you could just send me what you've got). Once you've got a list, or maybe just a totally amazing something, neomail it to me, it would be extra helpful if you would record what you liked about them. You could list yourself or your friends, if you think it's what I need. What you give me , although it might not be immediately used, will go to my data pile of'could-be-used-s'. I'll organize them and all. This would be a great help to me! Eventually I will have a section at the Top! with what I particularly, desperately need. And there is always the Catagories in the Submitting section, if you want to know I'm looking for. Actually, I suggest you read the while first section of submitting.
I will have listed in this section all the Friends. Who knows how far this will go, I might even find some people who will want to help me write this thing. If the Publication it going to have a future, I am going to need help. Will you help me?

The Clan Publication Policy

Using other's artwork:
Before featuring any artwork drawn by anyone else, we will ask their permission.

Quoting:
Any quotes used in the articles will be directed to Melz via neomail, and the person who said it will know that it is going to be published.

Articles (Featured User/Pets):
For the time being these well be previewed by the featured User/Pet's owner, so they agree with whatever is said. This might prove unnecessary. AND if the need arises, featured Petpages might have the same preview.

Awards:
Awards will only be given to people/pets who were mentioned on the cover image.

Petpages:
Petpages that are featured (either in advertisement or article), the user who made them will not be asked for permission. They will be informed after it is published, but because of the free nature of petpages, I don't believe it is necessary for permission, especially if it is designed to be linked to.

Neopets Rules:
Everything published here will follow the Neopets Rules. However, we do make mistakes, and sometimes we forget about some of them. Please inform me if you notice something of this sort. I respect the rules, and anything found against them was probably oversight on my part.

Outside Hosted Petpages:
I do not approve of them, and will not feature on in this Publication. Linking to another site is against the rules, and it isn't safe. I've dealt with every difficulty in hosting my petpages on neopets, and believe me I've had plenty. And my petpages are all still here.

The Old Policy of Previewing
This has been dropped from our policy, as it is somewhat difficult, time-consuming and a bother for both the tCp and however we're working with. You can request that you preview an article, I guess, but please understand the difficulties with this.

Make sure you are picking up the correct month's awards, if your month's awards is no longer here, simply neomail melzvenz and she will provide the code for you.

The Wooden Award. For if you or your pets appear on the cover, be it a picture or just words.

The Clickie. For if you or your pets appear in the Publication, but not exactly the cover. Anyone who has the Wooden Award can also (if they want) have this clickie as well.

These links come in two sizes, and feature the cover of the tCp. When the next Publication is published, the link picture will be changed to the new one, informing you that the new edition is out is out.
Note: Currently the tCp doesn't have a permanent home, and will probably switch petpages a bit. As of Oct. 19th 2006:Muhahahahahaha! We beat up the evil enemy of the links!!! Now it's working, if you picked up one of the Sept. 15th links earlier, it might be a good idea to replace them with these, because those aren't working anymore... Another change is: but I'm not going to say it all again, read it at the top.

What of Arasine?
Technically he hasn't been introduced into the Clan, so he doesn't exist. (Shhhh!). At least, we here don't know of him yet, but we still get to steal his petpage. Here's Ixi related stuff though:
