Keep It Straightforwardly Simple Training
by sarika_ambrielle

This is meant to be a helpful guide for people thinking of training a pet. It will show what to train and how to train efficiently. It is up to you where you want to train. Costs are approximate only.

Schools

There are two training schools you need to know about.

1. Mystery Island Training School is faster to train at but more expensive as it is paid for with codestones.

2. The Academy at Krawk Island is slower to train at but cheaper as it is paid for with dubloons.

Actual Training

Our guest today is ShimmeringBliss so lets see what you would find on the status page of the schools.

lvl = Level = train Level
Str = Strength = train Strength
Def = defence = train defence
Mov = Movement = train Agility
Hp = Health = train Endurance

Not sure what ShimmeringBliss would like to train first but he has to train level first. You can only train a stat to your level x 2 (exception is Health but we will look at later) so he must train to level 7 before anything else.

6 levels at Mystery Island take 12 hours and cost (averaging 8000 neopoints per codestone) 48,000 neopoints.

6 levels at Krawk Island take 24 hours and cost (averaging 3000 neopoints per dubloon) 18,000 neopoints.

At this point unless you are in a massive rush you can see how much you are going to save by going to Krawk Island by being patient.

We are now going to train all our other stats (strength, defence and movement) up to 14 in whatever order you would like to.

IMPORTANT Training your movement is completely optional and not required. Certain weapons DO require movement so if this is a pet you will continue to train past 200's I would highly recommend you train Movement now while it is cheap.

Now we are going to simply train a level then train each stat twice until we get to level 10.

Only stopped here to mention if you are training at Krawk Island you are about to go to the 6 hour per class and two dubloon coin level. Still cheaper than Mystery Island but taking even longer now.

Continue to train a level then train each stat twice until we get to level 18.

PHEW, congratulate yourself and give your pet a treat as you've now completed 125 courses.

Curious as to approximately what you've spent??

125 courses at Mystery Island cost (averaging 8000 neopoints per codestone) 1,000,000 neopoints

125 courses at Krawk Island cost (averaging 3000 neopoints per dubloon) 375,000 neopoints

Now we want to use the training schools to our advantage to save mega neopoints. We are going to up our health to 3 times our level, so train until health is at 54.

Of course now we have to level up to 27

Once you hit level 21 you will jump to the 2 codestone training (average 16,000 neopoints) or the five dubloon coin training (average 9,200 neopoints). For the minor saving I would now switch to the Mystery Island Training School for all training.

Let's up all those other stats so we are nice and even again.

We are going to simply train a level then train each stat twice until we get to level 38.

ShimmeringBliss is starting to look somewhat buff and has already earned you most of the Battledome avatars.

Let's do a price check shall we, we had already spent either:

125 courses at Mystery Island spending 1,000,000 neopoints
or
125 courses at Krawk Island spending 375,000 neopoints

We just did another 159 courses (averaging 16.000 neopoints per course) so an additional whooping 2,544,000 neopoints

Soooooooo Mystery Island trained has cost approximately 3,544,000 neopoints and Krawk Island/Mystery Island trained has cost approximately 2,919,000 neopoints.

Once again we want to use the training school to our advantage to save mega neopoints. We are going to up our health to 3 times our level, so train until health is at 114.

Of course now we have to level up to 57. Once you hit level 41 you will jump to the 3 codestone training (average 24,000 neopoints) per course and each course will take 3 hours.

Let's up all those other stats so we are nice and even again.

We are going to simply train a level then train each stat twice until we get to level 78.

ShimmeringBliss is starting to look extremely buff and with the right weapons could even beat that nasty Space Faerie.

Let's do a price check shall we, we had already spent

Mystery Island trained has cost approximately 3,544,000 neopoints and Krawk Island/Mystery Island trained has cost approximately 2,919,000 neopoints.

We just did another 360 courses at an additional whooping 8,640,000 neopoints

Soooooooo Mystery Island trained has cost approximately 12,184,000 neopoints and Krawk Island/Mystery Island trained has cost approximately 11,559,000 neopoints.

LE'GASP !!! Perhaps this tells you why Neopians don't want to lend out their battle pet for you to beat the Space Faerie.

We are going to up our health to 190.

Of course now we have to level up to 95.

Let's up all those other stats so we are nice and even again. Once you hit level 81 you will jump to the 4 codestone training (average 32,000 neopoints) per course and each course will take 6 hours.

By this point you really should get it and you can either up your health to max your neopoints or as most do at this point level up and train twice your stat to get to that wonderful 200 boost.

Final Approximate Price

Let's do a final price check shall we, we had already spent

Mystery Island trained had cost approximately 12,184,000 neopoints and Krawk Island/Mystery Island trained had cost approximately 11,559,000 neopoints.

We just did another 198 courses spending an additional whooping 6,336,000 neopoints

Soooooooo our final approximate price to train to level 200 stats is Mystery Island is 18,520,000 neopoints and Krawk Island/Mystery Island is 17,895,000 neopoints.

I trained ShimmeringBliss to 200 stats across the board in 74 days using the Mystery Island Training School.
