A walk...The moon is shining brightly tonight, beautifully defined against the dark blue skies like some chandelier. Its silver light illuminates the endless shoreline stretched out before you and covers the back of the rocky ocean. Hungry waves lap at the pale sand besides your shoes, then withdraw and plunge forward again, never quite touching you but often sprinkling you with icy droplets. It's suprising on such a warm night. You begin to move, a gentle night breeze nudging you in the right direction.- - - - -
How strange, there are no stars out tonight. Your legs carry you across a great length of the undisturbed beach, for a long time, you find yourself lost staring at the moon. Time skips along and there is nothing but the sand and the sky. But then cliffs begin to rise in the distance, standing high above the beach some distance ahead. One of them cut into the sky the furthest and nests a large stone castle. Details begin to form as you continue to walk, your curiosity interfering with your pace. Vines embrace the tall walls and the surrounding greenery also helps in helping it blend. But neither does much to mar its majestic beauty. It seems impossibly old, but well preserved and cared for. It couldn't be abandoned you conclude, too distracted to notice you're no longer alone. By pure chance, your gaze skims the shoreline once and notices the silhouette of a man ahead. He is standing still with his body facing the ocean. But he's looking at the moon. Your gait lags and you find yourself staring at him. He stands tall and slender; his profession revealed in the white medical coat that pocket his hands. His dark hair wavers as the night whispers over the sand, black it seems. As you near within fifty yards of him, he turns his head slightly to you. The moonlight pales the hauntingly beautiful face that turns to meet you, -disallowed_word-dot)com for this amazing petpage layout! |
