The forest...
You reach the top of a hill, walking along a dusty path. You see that the path continues for another few miles then stretches around the side of a large hill. Your neopet is tired and bored and asks if you could take a break and play a game with them. You sit on the side of the road and nod. Your neopet sighs out of relief and lays beside you to take a quick nap. Birds of multiple colors are seen on a field before you, pecking at the ground. They are searching for insects to dine upon. You watch this feeding freenzy then notice a forest at the end of the field. Trees are seen for miles stretching over hills. A fasinating sight. Perhaps this forest is endless. An opening between two trees just seems to beckon for you. Your curiosity grows until you can no longer ignore it. You wake your pet up and head for the forest. Dismayed, your pet follows close behind, then decides to chase some birds. The flock flies away into the forest. You shake your head at your silly neopet and continue on. Five minutes passes and you reach the opening. Capativation overwhelms you and your pet. There is just something about this forest that makes it different, but what? A shadow runs by and catches your attention. You look around but it seems to be gone. Your pet can't seem to locate it either. A few leaves fall from the tree above you onto your person. You look up to see a Xweetok staring down at you two. Her pelt is raven colored with some markings of blue. Her head back and tail is covered in green glossy fur with some hints of blue, especially on the end of her large tail. Her eyes are two different colors, sky blue and mint green. She examines you and your pet without a hint of fear. You wave to her, but she only turns and dissapears.
That was the forest spirit," a voice said. You turn around and see a brown mouse sitting upon a rock before you.
Was that you?" You asked.
Yes. Havn't you ever seen a talking mouse before?" he questions. You shake your head.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The only talking mice that exist, reside her in the Forest Of Spirits," He said.
Oh. Is this like an enchanted forest?" You ask.
You could say that. This forest is full of magical spirits, but the one that watches the forest and maintains peace here is the creature you just saw, the forest spirit," the wise old mouse said.
Wow. What excatly is the forest spirit like?" you question.
I cannot tell you much about her but I can say this: She is an immortal creature with great power and anyone who dares hurt this forest will not live to see the next day, even though she dosn't like to hurt others. She does what she does with no questions. Very few humans have seen her, but they consider it a sign of goo luck and well-being. But I must warn you, you need to leave this forest now. The only humans that can set foot here are those with the purist hearts and it's been well over a thousand years since one has been around. The only exception the forest will make is any humans who are friends with the forest spirit, but there is only one, and the spirit very rarely makes contact with humans," The mouse said. Before you could speak, voices in the wind are heard.

Go now! The spirits of the trees are angry!" the mouse shouts. You turn and run out of the forest with your pet close behind.

A legendary spirit...
Shinrin is known as the forest spirit. She is older than anyone you know, older than mankind. Not much is known about her excpet the she is the guardian of the forest of spirits, which happens to be the very first and oldest forest on the planet. It is not known if she can speak or not, but her eyes tell you so much more than mere words. She is a magical creature and every step she takes among the ground, spirit flowers will grow around her feet and fade after she removes her foot from the spot. It is said that Shinrin sleeps among the branches of Trinity, the mother tree of the forest, the oldest and wisest of the trees who is Shinrin's mother. Trinity sits in the middle of a large lake, not on island, but in the lake itself. This lake is know as the lake of healing. It is said that if have an injury or illness, the waters of this lake will heal you back to normal. There are many rumors about this forest and Shinrin herself. A legend states that if the eyes of the forest spirit are gone, then heck will freeze over and chaos will errupt. But no one knows if this legend is myth or truth.
Shinrin holds great power within and knows how and when to use it. She highly dislikes fighting and killing, but she only will when she must. Within her lifetime she's only killed one person. It was about two hundred and twevle years ago. A little boy of six years had wandered into the forest several years before. He fell in love with the forest and lived in the nearby village of Key Town, which is still there today. He came by every day and one day he bumped into Shinrin when he was lost. She showed him the way out of the forest and was friends with her ever since. A month after the boy turned nineteen, something had tainted his soul to such an extreme that he was no longer human. He destroyed part of his village then begun to tear the forest apart. Shinrin tired to save the forest and the boy by trying to heal what had gotten to him, but her powers coudln't fix him, nor could the waters of The Lake Of Healing. Shinrin had no choice but to kill him. The forest begun to heal were it was damaged and thing went back to normal except the soil where the forest was damaged remained a color of crimson. Since then, some have tried to destroy the forest and use the trees to make paper, logs, etc. Shinrin didn't want to kill anymore, so she suceeded in scaring them off. Shinrin has tried to limit herself to as little human contact as possible. I am not sure myself how Shinrin and I became friends, but she and I trying our hardest to not let history repeat itself.

In the light of the moon...
Every night the moon is in a crescent phase, pixie-like wings appear upon Shinrin. No one, not even Shinrin herself understands why this occurs, but when it does, Shinrin will fly above the forests and watch them over from the sky. This is when the most sightings of the Forest Spirit occur and why in legend books she is always drawn with wings. Of the few humans who has seen her, nearly all of them has not seen Shinrin without wings. The elusive is not always hidden.

A second home...
A xweetok with an onyx pelt and seagreen eyes approaches. She leaps onto a boulder, her back to the sun and eyes you. Her mane is sky blue at the head and fades into a soft purple at her tail. A moon-like symbol looks onto the world from her right flank and stars of blue and purple shades decorate her body. Her purple ears face foward picking up the sound of your breathing. She blinks and tilts her head.
Hello there. I'm Uruerae. I'm here to tell you the story of Shinrin's second home, which is also my home," she said her tail gently flapping. She looked deeply into the sky and took in a breath of fresh air.
It all started one night, as the moon looked down on the earth in a crescent shape. Shinrin and I were exploring the frontier....
I lept upon a rock I came upon and decided the rest their for a while. An hour passed and Shinrin descended upon the ground before me. I lifted my head to see what she wanted. Shinrin smiled, flew up, grasped me upper front legs and took off into the skies. Never had I been aboved the ground before but the sensation I felt was fantastic. soon the feild was doused in pine trees, illuminated by the moon. Shinrin then flew straight upward, ascending into the clouds. I watched at the scenery below grew smaller. Shinrin. What are you doing? Aren't I not growing to heavy for you to carry, especially since we are airbourne?" I questioned. Shinrin smirked. We soon were floating above the clouds. Shinrin retracted her paws and I realized I was floating. Then I gazed to the moon. Aw, it was a lovley sight; The moon above the clouds. I looked to Shinrin to ask if I could fly about but before I spoke she nodded. I smiled then flew around, dosuing the sky with stars that floated off my tail. Never will I forget such a memory. Shirin then signeled me over to her. As I flew over she doved down into the cotton ball clouds. I followed after. Soon, we were out of the clouds and heading down towards the forest below. Shinrin landed in a clearing beside a lake. I descended gently and examined the surrondings. The scent of xweetoks was great. I had arrived in the xweetok forest...
