NonsenseAbout Nonsense v.1At first glance, you see the elephants at play. The smaller of the two heavier than the large; an impossible game or philosophical pun? Then you look closer or find all the writing. At first, it just looks like a bunch of, well, nonsense. But you can slightly pick out coherence among them. For this layout, I put together a large mass of film quotations atop a wondrous piece of art by none other than my favorite artist, Alexander Jansson. Each quotation involves the word nonsense used in several ways from some films I enjoy and a final exclamation of nonsense at the end to account for any number of things. I invite you to decipher the films for yourself but as a convenience, a list of them is here, in order from top to bottom, left to right: Pan's labyrinth, Donnie Darko, Toy Story 2, A Clockwork Orange, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Coraline, The Game, Stardust, An Interview With the Vampire, Big Fish, National Treasure, Young Frankenstein, The Jungle Book. Me. I'm excessive, eclectic, and enigmatic. I'm overly enthusiastic about films and literature. My taste in music ranges too much. I use unnecessarily large words just for the sake of using them.
