8/25/09 If by chance you might be interested in knowing a little bit about me, here goes. My Daughter got me hooked on Neopets. She's in the Army and has a daughter. I have a Son in the Marine Corps who did 1 tour in Iraq and has a step-daughter and is expecting a son within 2-3 weeks. My Mom is a pilot and I've had flying lessons. I love it and maybe one day I too could get my pilot's license. I've had 15 years of ballet and was going to go professional, but at that time ballerinas didn't have children and I wanted children, so I became a Mom, one of the hardest jobs on earth! I love to decorate cakes. I'm artistic and I play the flute on occasion. I went back to college and became a graphic artist for a while and later got a degree in Web Design just as the "dot coms" crashed...no work. :-( Now, I got my CDL (commercial drivers license) and I drive a school bus in the Adirondack Mountains on the toughest mountain road in our district with the toughest students in the school...I love a challenge! For 6 years I've competed in the "School Bus Road-eo." This is a competition that has 3 parts. There's a written test of my knowledge of various laws and procedures for bus driving. There's a pre-trip where a judge follows you around as you check out your bus to make sure it's worthy to drive. Last and best of all is the obstacle course where I drive with a judge and do different maneuvers with the bus such as parallel park, alley dock, try to get my right front and rear duel wheels through a line of tennis balls with a 1" space on either side without knocking any of the balls over and much more. In 2007, I won 1st place and went on to compete in the State Road-eo. I even had a newspaper article written about me. I love what I do and my down-time is spent playing Neopets.
