Some people mistake want for need. Even digital items still cost something to create in the first place, in time and money. Just because it can be free doesn't mean it necessarily should be. As a part-time job, I create web layouts--digital work. Should I not get paid for it?

If you have the pleasure of being able to play every day, you are most likely privileged enough not to be affected with the most truly devastating afflictions in the world. Winning and losing in Neopets is not the end of the world. You do not, as much as you think you might, need Neopets to survive. One day, Fyora forbid, Neopets will end, and all you will have left of Neopia is fond memories and friendships made.

Therefore, play accordingly, and treat others with the same respect you would want to receive, be they fellow players or the "unfair" Neopets monitors who freeze you for what you know to be a freezable offense [and be understanding and patient in the event of a genuine error--there are millions of us players to the comparably few of their staff].

I use Adobe Photoshop and After Effects with a Wacom Intuos pen tablet. If you can't afford these things yet, they're worth saving for if you plan to study computer graphics and animation.
